Dolpa 19 discussion

Yeah, he was mailed but I don't know when. Olivia MAY be in need of slightly bigger earring holes...mine is slightly too small. I can only get her earrings in through the front, but not all the way through.

 

My Olivia had the same problem. I took a very tiny drill bit and inserted it into the already drilled hole and spun it a few times until the hole was just a little bit bigger. Voila! Problem solved.

 

I thought it was wierd that I recieved my dolpa 19 outfits in the mail today, but for some of the items I ordered I hadn't gotten a shipping notice yet. Then I received this email.

"During the sale of our Dolpa 19 Regular Items we
had a problem with our website system. Some items
were not subtracted correctly from the inventory
and it caused there to be a situation where, for
those items, we received more orders than we
are able to fill."

I'm wondering how many orders this happened to?

 

Totally happened to me. I lost 3 outfits and it makes me sad! The first time I parked my butt in front of the computer to make sure I didn't miss out!

 

This happened to me also. I received part of what I ordered today, but then I got that same email tonight regarding my other items. I have to say that I'm not surprised though. The VolksUSA web site seemed to be acting strangely that day. From my previous experiences, the items in your cart aren't yours for sure until you've completely checked out and gotten the confirmation. I've gone all of the way through the process before just to have it say at the very end that my item was no longer available. You can't confirm the items in your shopping cart like you can on the international web site. So it didn't make sense for sold out items to be suddenly available again. I hope that makes sense. Anyway, I'm kind of disappointed even though I was half expecting not to get everything that I ordered. I guess I should be glad to have gotten a few things. Last time, I only wanted one outfit, and I wasn't able to get it.

 

I haven't heard anything back about my orders except the confirmation emails.
I ended up with 3 seperate orders, which I have been charged for.
I do hope I get the stuff I ordered. Or a refund.

 

Gah same here! I haven't heard ANYTHING about any shipping info and they never replied to my first email about it...I've gotten a cancellation on one of my orders already and am VERY nervous right now that the same thing will happen to the rest. It just seems strange that some people have already gotten their things in the mail and others are still waiting

 

Well, I actually CALLED Volks. I talked to a really nice person there, and she was able to confirm my orders. But shipping was delayed on some orders (mine included) because of the order confusion.

Has anyone gotten a shipping notice for the after event sale stuff?

 

I just got my shipping notice today. Last time I called in to check, they were having some shipping delays so thing might take a while to get shipped out.

I got a reply regarding my order but no shipping notices yet..........

Still no shipping for mine. Hope they send it soon.

 

I'm waiting on mine from We Love Dolls...was suppose to ship to them this week, I understand...

 

I just received a shipping notice from Volks for the remainder of my Dolpa 19 regular items. It turns out that only one of my three items ended up getting canceled, so I am pretty happy!

 

Am I the only one still waiting on a doll? Still no sign of dear Olivia.

 

Scissorhand: Oh, I'm still waiting on Olivia as well.

*grin* I keep thinking to myself, "It's still early in the end of the month!" if only to keep from panicking. The closer it gets to September, the worse my nails look.

 

I'm waiting on my Olivia too. They said it would be August so only 6 more days left. I bet we all hear something this week!

 

Oh I hope so. My fingernails look awful too!

 

Yay! I just got a note back from Volks that the Olivias have arrived from Japan! They are checking them over and will be mailing them out early this week.

Not sure is this the right place to ask this.
Anyone got an SD16G with Black Cocktail Dress?
The dress doesn't fit my Olivia. I've tried but cannot zip it up.

 

I had to really pull hard on the zipper for that black cocktail dress for my SD16G Garnet when I first tried it on her a while back. I swear it felt like I was going to break off the pull tab. It does fit though.

So it's not only me fighting with the zipper.

 

I have to fight with the zipper too. It's frustrating because on my SD13 girl, or not on a doll at all, the zipper works fine. As soon as I put it on Olivia it's a struggle to get it to zip up. I feel like I'm going to break it too, it's extremely difficult.

 

I just got an email that my Olivia is being shipped and will arrive on Monday. Hurray! This is the most excited I've been for a doll since my first one. How many others are still waiting?

 

*squeak!* I'm getting a shipment as well. Far2Frail: Considering where our Olivias are going to, maybe they'll be travel buddies.

Sheesh, three shipping notifications for one doll. How fun is that?
