Dolpa 16 pics!

    1. Sunday was of course Dolpa... I was lucky enough to go along and see a lot of amazing dolls!

      When Mr Shigeta says 'Go!', you GO! XD True actually. I was standing in the Sumika line, so I was inside when the general admission line was allowed in. Mr Shigeta made the opening speech, and then, whammy, people were RUNNING into the hall! XD

      After I hit the Sumika (h.Naoto.... *drool*), I dived into the dealers... there were some gorgeous dolls on display!

      These guys were SO CUTE. The ears are to die for. Unfortunatly by the time I got there there weren't any left to buy, but the girl at the stall was really friendly and her dolls were gorgeous!

      A lot of my pictures came out blurry, sorry. ;_; but this girl was so gorgeous - the face ups were amazing.

      Again, blurry blurry! But! This person was selling special option part legs. If you look at this guy, you'll notice one leg is folded up under him - that's what she was selling. They were REALLY well made and such a cool idea. They looked fantastic on the display dolls too. This guy was my fav.

      Again, the prettyness! The earmuffs are super cute too. :D

      I loved this guy - just his whole outfit... whole look. The stall had some amazing models!

    2. This Dolpa's One Offs were all amazing... they were themed for christmas - all wearing white outfits and all looking gorgeous!

      I'm not generally a massive fan of Chris, but this boy was gorgeous!

      The customised Doll Contest had the best entries I've seen at any Dolpa so far.

      I'm kicking myself for not getting a better photo of this group... but anyway, some people might remember that I snapped a pic of Iruka at DP15 and was exclaiming on how cool he was. WELL. This time there is a SET of Naruto characters. They were AWESOME.

      oijfasoidj. NO WORDS. JUST LOVE. I just about had pulpitations - these two were SO perfect.

      The 'centerpiece' Customised Doll was this one in the middle with the huge clock-tower prop. O_o

      And of course, there were the LE displays, including Amelia & Kurt's special enclosed display...

      ;_; bluuuuurrrry!!! But these were the display Sweet Dreams School A that were in a big glass box. The head will be released at the special event Volks is holding in that Euro-hotel thingie.

    10. Goodness, the first pic made my jaw drop a little. My favorites are the ones of the customized entries, especially the butterfly-winged one (#5?). She's gorgeous!

    47. Sorry for the late reply guys (O_o So BUSY lately) :D I'm glad you all enjoyed the pics, even the blurry ones! ^^; I think evildolly will have some much better ones to add later when she gets back to Singapore!

      If you ever get the chance you should DEFINATELY go to a Dolpa. The smaller ones (Nagoya etc) are just as fun - although the big spring/winter dolpas are awesome just for the huge variety of stuff available.

      To answer some of the questions raised...

      The bunny!boys- they are Volks dolls - F17s or Cecils (I think F17s though), modded, and the ears were made of resin. Really well made too, and beautifully painted.

      This girl, I'm pretty sure is a Liz - I'm not so good with girl moulds, but I'd say I'm about 90&#37; it was Liz. Carol has way puffier cheeks and a smaller face. :D

      The 'L' doll - he was the most awesome thing ever. I'm not sure what exactly he is - maybe a modded School A, or even a School C. His feet are SD girl high heeled feet, and I think his hads are also SD sized... which makes me think that maybe his body is an SD10 body, though I'm not sure.

      The folded legs - I'm sorry, I don't actually know anything more about them. I know they've been at the last few dolpas, so if you can find someone who will be going to the next dolpa, you might be able to get them to buy a set. I think they were in the range of 13 000 yen for a set of legs. Or maybe that was just one? I'm not sure, I can't remember! Sorry!

      The dreaming School A head has not been released yet, so they won't be on Y!J etc until later. The two at Dolpa were display only... I had thought they'd be out this Dolpa, but it seems it's a special for the "HUIS TEN BOSCH" Tour thingie, along with BtSSB Toppi. And if they're only released at that Tour, they're going to be very rare and pricey I think!

      Ah, I love all of your pictures! Thanks for the look into Dolpa; I hope I'll be able to go someday. The first shot has got to be my favourite, with all the people running XD;;

      Oh, and I don't know if the person selling the legs is the same person I'm thinking of, but there were a pair on YJ a few weeks ago that were both folded and specifically for wearing kimono. So cool~
