Quick question --- why are the clothes all coming up "We are very sorry. The item in question could not be purchased at this time."?

I was being sick when the dolls went on sale. So I guess I've missed Amelia.

 

The clothes are going on sale on the 21st.

I had talked myself into trying for a Williams, but I could not make it home from work, and he sold out. I'm sure my bank account is happy

Well I'm going to be ready for the outfits.

 

Are you talking about the Sumika items or the h.Naoto outfits in particular? Because those were on sale with the dolls tonight. I tried for the SD13 outfit and didn't make it.

 

Thanks for answering! I just realized I'd read the World Clock Page wrong & it's TONIGHT @ 7pm not last night @ 7pm. Being sick bites big time.

Yeah I'd just about KILL fot the SD16B outfit. But like the dolls, since I couldn't get to my computer I lost out. Now if I'd just had wireless....

Were you too late, or did the items go super fast. I so wanted to come home and try for Williams, but I don't need a speeding ticket to add to the pot.

 

I was waiting for the clock to hit 8pm, and just didn't have a fast enough computer/ISP/something. The server kept kicking back error messages to me. At one point the sales page opened up, but I couldn't get it to go into my cart, and the page didn't open again for another hour.
It doesn't look like anyone posting to this thread managed to pick up the h.Naoto outfits tonight.

 

Wow, I'm looking at the page now and it seems there's Amelia still left. I don't know how long she'll stay there, so anyone that wants her better hurry.

 

I did manage to get the h.ANARCHY one... after a very looong battle with the Volks website. >< I think this is the worst AE I've ever encountered .__. My previous experiences weren't even so bad.

 

I kept trying for hours as well. Most of that time was spent receiving various error messages. Its good to see that at least someone was successful though~

 

I had Amelia in my cart and hit the confirm button, but I think someone was faster than me.

 

I didn't get to log on until after 10pm.

Computer crashed just now. Looks like shes done again. Guess I'll keep tryinng for a little whie. English side right?

I was wondering about that too... I noticed that Kurt will only have 1, but just now there was an option for up to 5 Kurts.

Think I'll keep looking in on Williams.

 

Yes it's on the English page. There was probably only 1 left, it was about 20 minutes ago, and she was available for a good 5 minutes. Good luck to whoever is still trying!

 

Too bad they don't have a proxy order system.

 

I find it strange that no one was able to purchase anything until many hours later. I guess I'll keep that in mind for the next AE. I want the SD13 boys outfit but I have no idea if it'll come back in stock and don't really feel like waiting all night to find out. This thing has been too stressful already and I'm just gonna go to sleep. Good luck to everyone else though!

SD Emma was sold out and now she is back in stock too. Does the AE post dolls here and there.. or does anyone think that these are sales that are not going through.

I would hate to think someone would hide a doll in their cart if they were not going to buy it.

 

I'm kind of glad I already gave up on Kurumi... I definitely wouldn't have been able to get her at this AE. >_<

Still a bit sad... But I went with the 'buy another doll you love' route for soothing the wounds, and looking at the matching Isaos on my desk makes me feel a lot better... Even if I can almost hear them muttering back and forth to each other their plans to overthrow me. o.o

Still... Kurumi would have been really nice. :cry:

 

At about 12:30 am (PST) I found "a little bit left over" for Amelia. I had been really trying to get Kurumi (along with hundreds of others). But here is Amelia - available. I have been more and more drawn to her sculpt. Seeing owner pics is very helpful/expensive...
I put her in my cart with no glitches at all (unless you count my stomach). Kurt was available again too, but I didn't go for him.

After much waffling and many flip flops, I went ahead and bought her!!! Somehow after struggling for so many hours at the AE web pages I had some clever logic that because I finally got things to work, it would be silly to let her go. If I have too many regrets, I think I can find a buyer.
The shipping and handling was 8,820 yen! so my total came to 103,20.

Using the x-rates currency calculator I get a price of $852.33
That's about what my other SD LE girls have cost. But who knows what exchange rate I will get from Volks.

I have a curious mixture of feelings swimming around; happy & excited, guilty for buying another doll, fear that Amelia might not look right with our group, worried about clothes for her, and other things that aren't too defined at the moment.
I may wind up doing a doll shuffle and selling some dolls. Guess I'll have to see how this all sorts out.

Wonder if I can sleep tonight. I stayed up all night last night. Hoping for sweet dreams for everyone!

I'm trying to force myself away from keeping an eye on Williams. Volks makes one hell of a story pitch with thier dolls.

I am actually starting to get more excited about her. I guess the auto-pilot mode I went into to struggle with the AE web site for hours, is starting to wear off, 12 hours later. It was a decidedly odd mindset of frantic effort and guarding my heart with the certainty that I would never be able to get any Dolpa 16 doll. Kind of like valium and espresso all at once *shudder*

I logged in the the Volks site just now and went to see if the order really was completed. Under the My Status section on the left side of the page you can click on "referring to the use history". Then you see a list of any purchases you made from the site within the past year. Amelia is already on my list!

It sounds like a handful of DoA folks did get to order dolls. SO much energy was burned in this riot of page refreshing!

Williams propelled me into wanting an SD size boy for the first time. But buying 2 big Dolpa dolls is pretty over the top for me. I am feeling the sticker shock pretty strongly; and yes, elated about bringing the pair of them home.

 

Bear with me as this is my first Dolpha...

I was excited to see the outfits the Anne and Piccolo are wearing in their pictures are on the Tenshi-no-Sumika prerelease... It says they go on sale 1/21/07. Is it possible to order them from the US with my credit card when they go on sale? Do I need an account, or something? Around what time do they go on sale?

 

Yes, you will be able to order them on the International site with your credit card, they will go on sale at 10am Tokyo time. It's best to register ahead of time and then log in a bit earlier to save time, as I think those outfits will go very quickly! (I love Anne's dress and I don't even have a doll that size!)

The errors you got where not because of your slow connection it was because the volks site couldn't handle the load I have a very fast cable connection and it was the same for me 2.5 hours of errors and pages tring to load.

 

My Mom just bought Kurt without any problems. He's still available if anyone's after him.

So having never bought from an AE (or even the Intl site) before, how long will it take to ship?

 

Any idea how long it usually take for the outfits to sell out?

 

Completely depends on the outfits. The collaboration outfits were gone FAST (minutes, I suspect), but normally the clothes and accessories are the last things to go in an AE.

 

What are collaboration outfits? The h.NAOTA stuff? I am just really paranoid that I will miss out on the Yo outfits by an hour due to work...

 

The dolls are scheduled to reach those who ordered in Japan by 24 Jan... so I'm guessing Volks should be shipping the international orders within these two weeks The last time I ordered a doll through an AE, he actually arrived in less than a week! :O

I hope that is the case. I didn't try for any of the dolls as I won Piccolo in the Lottery, but I really want the outfit he modled to dress him in. I see a couple others I may try for to dress my MSD Angel Region Boys in as well. Now just to wait until 5:00 PM my time.... I already have two computers logged into the site.

 

I can't believe after all the drama I went through last night, Kurt is still there in stock. XDXD That's some kind of ironic, it is.

 

Ptfh. I ordered mysels an Emma 'cause the quest for Williams seemed to be hopeless. I actually had no idea that she's still in stock before today...

 

I'm not sure if they keep adding Emmas, because she will sale out and then another one shows up. She was out again last night and now there is a little left over.

I'm going to try for that SD Pom Pom hat, and the YO-SD outftis.. and maybe the plaid MSD skirt set.

Last night after I was POed about not being able to get home in time for the AE.. I was asked if I wanted to go home early well AFTER the sell started.

 

just a stupid question, if i put some items in my cart around this time will they still be in there around 10japan time if i leave my window open?

 

Make sure you confirm your cart before you look for anything else. That way it will tell you "This is the merchandise in your shopping cart." and below the item you have confirmed.

But I guess sometimes items must fall out when so many people are trying for the same item.

 

I am gonna wait for Volks USA to get these clothes items. They may not get them all, but they will probably get some. Past few AE the outfits trickled in. They have the new carrying case up already at Volks USA.

 

Stupid question but ... is it all over?

Yeah, the page crashed for me. I anticipated this. I really think Volks USA will get some of this stuff in stock. When the SDC sailor outfit sold out at the last AE on their site, it showed up a couple weeks later on Volks USA. So those who didn't win don't give up yet! If you are out of country, maybe you can do a group order or ask a US friend to get them for you.

 

Gah!!!! I have the outfit in my cart, but keep getting Error 503 when I try to check out! Now what?

 

I got the girl's Yo outfit. I couldn't get to the very last page, but I received an email stating that I had won it with a confirmation number. My assumption is that I won.

 

Can you click back or refresh? I had to do that a few times in order to get the site to work.

 

The whole site seems to be down at the moment. I wasn't going for any of the AE clothes, just trying to get to the main site and I'm getting the japanese error screen.

I got my cart open just before the site went down and my boy's outfit is still in it. I'm not going to try checking out until the site in back up again, just in case. I hope that someday, Volks gets a better server, because it's like this everytime! Grrrrr!
