I can't wait to see what happens. I really hope that the h.Naoto clothes make it over here.

 

The promo poster seems to only imply that it will be the clothes they will be selling as limited... it did not mention anything about them selling the clothes with the dolls.

In that case I really need to get my hands on Yukinojo's outfit. ><

Looking at these pics of the new girl, I'm beginning to really suspect that she's an MSD. Oh, dear, she's seeming more and more tempting.

 

Is she new then? I was really trying to figure out who she was. She is so cute!

Hm..I thought she looked SD sized though.. like maybe an SD10. I guess it is hard to tell with nothing to size reference.

 

I love Olivia's shoes and bag! The outfits aren't really my dolls' style, but they're all really cool and I'm glad to see Volks releasing such amazing designer outfits.

I'm pretty sure the new girl is an SD, though. Her hands don't look like MSD hands, they are spread out and look like my Nono's hands. Hard to tell from such a teeny pic though!

Whatever size she is I really hope she's a LE release and not just a limited fullset release of a future standard! 'Cause then if I wanted her anytime soon I'd have to pay the price of a limited doll but for a standard headmold, and honestly, I don't ever care what stuff LE's come with. I'd buy them if they came wearing burlap sacks! But I wouldn't want to pay a premium for a non-LE headmold. XD And it took aaages for SD Kun to became easily available as a standard edition, and I don't want to have to wait a year or something. >.<

On the bright side, if she is a standard then she should show up in the FCS eventually. Then I'd probably have to wait a year and a half . . . lol.

 

I really fall in love with the girl on h.Naoto's page. I hope she will be able in after event (if they release her ). I think she will be perfect for my little family... I also hope they will re-release Jun... I can't wait for more information

 

Ahahaha....I remember your squeal, though I couldn't see who actually did it. I adore h.Naoto too so this is really exciting! I remember when they last did Super Dollfie collaborations with other japanese labels and I was kind of down that h.Naoto wasn't one of them. I hope they keep it up and release more stuff in the future. Though is it just h.Naoto outfits for sale? Or will there actually be a limited h.Naoto doll like we had with the other labels? I'd love to see both actually.

Oh, I think that her being an MSD is just wishful thinking on my part. I can't fit or really afford another big girl right now, but might be able to squeeze in -- and squeeze out of my budget -- a little girl. Whatever she is, I still really love her wig!

Unless "models" is simply referring to the four different outfits, since the h.jelly girl is the only new doll pictured. Either way, I'm excited about seeing the other Dolpa items, re-release or no!

And was anyone else hoping to see a punked-out h.NAOTO Yo-SD?

 

It isn't always the same, how they do it has varied from Dolpa to Dolpa. Usually Volks USA has the lottery. And the international after event is often first-come-first-serve, though there may be exceptions (last time the two very popular Yo-SD were the only ones with a lottery in the AE).

With Volks, you never know!

I honestly think I'd squeal, roll over and die for a little bit before immediately trying for one. And, if I didn't get one, try desperately in the aftermarket. x_x h.Naoto + Yo-SD = Kei's death of happy.

 

aww, it would be cute to see a little yo-sd in h.naoto clothes.

Oh my...with all the buzz already I am sure this girl will have a lottery. I do want her so bad!

 

I know I've read some people thinking she (the SD girl) might be the next standard release girl, and I must admit that I'm crossing my fingers for that! She's gorgeous! I want her, but I don't know if I'll be able to gather enough money by the time the After Party comes (assuming that the doll AND outfit will be lottery-ed or even released to the US -_-;;; ).

At least if she ends up being a standard girl, I can save up on my own time and buy her when I have enough (which would still be as soon as I could XD ). I'm not holding my breath, but, well, here's to hoping.

 

I took a look at this, and came up with one of three possibilities:

1. All outfits only.
2. All new dolls only
3. Combination (full-dressed dolls and outfits only).

I would not be surprised to see the girl we've seen pictures of as a full-set doll, and perhaps one other. The S-inc pics of Yukinojo and Olivia however, I doubt those will be re-released dolls..not THIS fast anyway. It doesn't seem Volks' style to have the same doll released twice with only a change in wardrobe. There's usually at least a change in faceup or sculpt, from what I've picked up (I could be wrong, but hey!).

With this in mind, I go with option 3. That, of course, still leaves a LOT to the imagination as to what they could come out with. Going by past Dolpas listed on SuperDollfie.net, it seems the pattern is a couple SD-sized, a couple of minis, and 2-3 Yo-SD. I would not be surprised if at least two of the limited dolls sport the h.NAOTO outfits, maybe three.

Going back momentarily to this Williams/Oath of the Silver Coin fellow...were there indications that he might show up soon, if not this Dolpa, then one in the not-too-distant future? Also, I was looking at the few photos from the cruise, and it's hard to tell what he is wearing. If I didn't know better, I'd say that his outfit is disguised as well as his face, but it looks to me as if he's wearing a velvet cloak of some sort.

Yeah, I'm budgeting in case he shows in this one. I could wait (and it might be better to do so), but Volks likes to catch me off guard ;D I'm really intrigued by this fellow, especially after finally looking at Another Yourself and wondering if he's the part of the story I think he is...

 

It looks to me like the first set will come with the new SD girl (and possibly sold without it?), while the others are all sold seperately from the dolls.

We'll be seeing a LOT more new sculpts this Dolpa, I'll bet, including this cute new girl.

 

Hmm, all this talk of William has me curious! I love Volks' boys, and am excited to see him. But I think its less likely he'll be released this time, if he is part of the Silver Coin series. This Dolpa seems to already have some "themed" items -- h.Naoto -- and so I would guess that we won't see LE's from specific established story lines, since they just wouldn't really fit in very well. Designer punk and . . . pirates? But rkold had a good notion, I could totally see Tony and Hewitt's little story line fitting in with h.Naoto style stuff!

I hope William does turn up soon though! Maybe at the next big Dolpa in the summer? But you never know . . .

I saw the photos from the cruise...on the far left, yes? These photos were what I was trying to decipher (even in Photoshop).... it looks like he's got a knee-length velvet cloak on. Or is that just part of his clever disguise? XD REALLY difficult to pick out..though I do believe someone said he looked a bit taller...*shiftyeyes*

Yeah, I'm sooooo hoping he's an SD16. The one shot makes me doubt it, unfortunately, but the other one of Cecile's head alone, ames me wonder if Mr. Redhead there isn't a little taller than he appears.

 

Aren't Tony and Hewitt supposed to be Harajuku boys? That's where the Japanese visual culture is concentrated. I would love to see a "story" for them fleshed out, like the Silver Coin and Tokyo Boys stories.

Though does anyone know how tall Cecile the Scarface is? It's possible that this might just be another long-legged SD13 boy.

 

Cecile has "Normal length legs", so that mask man looks to be SD13 with long length legs. So he may come as SD13 and Yukinojo 2nd might come...

 

I know people hope that kurumi would be a standard(I hope she will, as she's to cute)

but where did the idea come from...

volks haven't mentioned anything about her have they? and to go by releases of 4 years ago is a bit odd I think(after all why would volks make a new standard, the limiteds and FCS seem far more populair)

Yes! Please do that and see what the discrepency is . From what I was reading, it doesn't seem to be that much: SD13 boys are suppose to range from 60-63CM and Yuki is supposed to be 65, correct? Just doing a quick measure on my desk, the difference between 60 and 63 is almost unnoticable. 60 to 65 is more obvious, but still, it's only 1.5 inches, which as was said, can be made different with shoes (which leads us to the inevitable question: What's the size of Cecile's soles? XD)

Volks was VERY smart when they showed this guy..they even made sure to cover his hands up, which I'm guessing would have been a big indicator of what he would be. However, that wig makes him look...kinda big-headed.

As for a -second- Yuki? I'm kind of mixed-minded about that. Seems a little soon to be duplicating him, doesn't it?

MSD Ken and Mika were released in a cute sailor uniform with little sneakers originally and NOT a slip or t-shirt and shorts. They were originally LEs and then became standards.

In the Harajuku Volks branch they had a lot of little drawn comics featuring Tony and Hewitt so I really would not be surprised if we get say Tony's love interest and more from their storyline. ^^

 

It is a collaboration doll...so I don't think she will be a standard. But, rkold does have a valid point. But it really is just because she is a collaboration first that makes it seem like she will not be a standard to me. But, hey, I could be wrong.

I agree. Though we often base our assumptions on what Volks has done in the past, sometimes they change things up. All we can do most times is sit and wait. Volks never ceases to surprise me.

 

Speculating is such fun! That's all we can do for now, but its a nice way to pass the time while we wait for Volks to release more info.

 

Seconded. The possibilities out of Volks are indeed endless! And I'm working on my patience, though I think that I'll be distracted over the weekend with holiday stuff, so I am sure that SOMETHING will come around between say...tomorrow and when I come home on Sunday evening!

I've only ever seen them at the one branch, and you can't take pictures inside or I would have taken them of the comic strip. lol

It was incredibly adorable and mostly involved Tony and Hewitt describing some of the customizations you could do to your doll. My personal favorite involved Tony putting blush on Hewitt XD;

Stupid question, but do we have a date yet of when the Dolpa is going to be? It's probably going to be right around Christmas, isn't it? It would be, seeing as I'm only in Tokyo 'till the 16th.
