DollZone The Moon and The Star Discussion

I absolutely adore them. If it weren't for the perfect head for one of my characters also being limited I probably would have gotten one, I know exactly what I would want to do with one too. I'm really excited to see how everyone else styles theirs, and it's definitely something I'll keep an eye out for second hand in the future.

 

Oh I really love their looking but I can't buy them because I need the money for something else v.v But it's quiet ok maybe someday I can get a second hand one ^-^

 

My Carter asks this body. Paid him the body of a Star))) Will own them.

I dunno, I'd let the mods deal with it if they don't think it's appropriate. Last I heard they were still discussing whether these dolls were on topic or not....

 

I had an immediate epiphany of who her character could be when I saw her so I took that as a sign.....she's so beautiful!

 

I have a violent Dollshe Ausley named Alex (from Clockwork Orange) and Moon is going to be one of Alex's victims but she let's her live...so Moon's gonna drag around leaving a blood trail behind her but she'll take it all in good spirits.....existentially....

 

If you search on Tales of Nibelung you'll find my photo stories with my wacky cast of dolls. Nibelung is a Doll Chateau Ada. I'm thinking of making Moon his girlfriend since I sold his last one off (Iplehouse Lisa Vampire).....the most recent one is here:

I can't wait to get mine. I ordered DZ Moon and I already know what to do with her. She will be an undead Oraculum in my story, called Aillil. I am going to build an special chamber to her full with eyes and occult stuff.
I really hope admins will keep them on topic, because they are both gorgeous!

 

Yeah, that was what I was thinking about... no chance to make her standing, so she will be attached to the ceiling and walls with mini chains, and I might sculpt an altar to put the bottom of her body inside. I will place an little pool under the doll itself - and the altar will be in the middle of it. In the story she will 'read the future' from the waves of the water when her tears falling in it.
Vote for creepy stuff I also planning to cover her entire body with tattoos. I can't wait to finally have her!

Do you have any special plan?

 

Ha ha ha...this made me smile, because you are describing me!!!! I also have a problem thinking through a story without the doll. I totally love reading some of the stuff people write in their short profiles, which is incredibly detailed, those people are very talented. I am more visual and tend to dream and think more about clothes, wigs and costumery. But in this instance I am dreaming up a seat!!! I want a special theatrical type seat for her...so happy we have this thread, as I have been waiting nearly 4mths already for a DC doll!!! Ordered her in January and expected any day soon....it's very long wait Arghhhh #dramatic sigh!!!!

 

I am waiting for an doll from January order too I hope we will get them soon. Who did you choose from DC?
Moon and Star are gorgeous, and their price was pretty fair; just I am sad because they had too many limited events at the same time.

 

Well, I completely blew it on ordering a Star. What is the estimated shipping date on these dolls?

 

@Mewtt Oh, wow! Thanks for the tip! I just placed an order, so hopefully it's not a mistake. Would have preferred a dealer with layaway, but I'll just tighten the belt for a little while.

 

That's really good news, about placing the order ... I use Angelesque often, and have agreed Layaway terms with her, no problems. Just thought I would let you know for future reference. Coz there's always gonna be another doll!!! Right?

@Siwa I like the way you think! Creating a little world around her is perfect. I've already written part of the story for mine. The problem I have is that I find it hard to come up with a name without the doll in sight....

Star is actually a (not secret) birthday present for my partner. I don't know yet how we'll display her, but she'll be a companion to my DZ Moment and her SoulDoll Iraki who are both half-human creations of an alchemist.

 

@dollhausen Oh I am in the same boat with naming an doll. Now I choosen the name Aillil to her, because the time when I will get her, I will move to Ireland and if I know well it means 'elf' in irish language. But all of my doll's names were made by name generator or with the help of my friends

At this very moment Carol at Angelesque is developing a new website, it may include info regarding layaway??? But, she is great to either contact by phone or PM through her Facebook page, and is both understanding & helpful to us dolly layaways BTW ... I love the whole idea you have created with the other dolls for your new StaR.

 

I love DZ Moon Tarot new doll. I have bought her so she'll be coming in the mail. Does anyone know how long it takes for her to get shipped? I would love to see the full body be made for this doll. I would buy it in a heart beat. Does anyone have one of them coming, and are excited as me?

 

Right now the wait time for DZ is 4-5 months. Sometimes as long as six. It depends on what dealer and how many events DZ has had before you ordered. Which is every few months it seems, lol. I'm still waiting on a order from this January, and my previous order last fall took six months from moc.

 

@animegirl the head of either doll will fit on the DZ 1/4 body if you decide that you want to a full body. Of course I bought Moon specifically for the weirdness of the Tingler version...

 

I was hoping to get a decayed body to match the doll. If they don't make a body to match the rest of the doll i'll keep her the way she is.

 

I knew I had to have Moon as soon as I saw her promo pictures,I ordered her shortly after the release and am soo excited to get her.
I ordered her completely blank as I have a specific look in mind for her.

She will be the shell of a character of mine called Grimrose,a young and naive but hard working Grim Reaper.

I'm also looking foward to seeing what others do with Moon & Star,they are such lovely and unique dolls!

 

I am really exited to see ownerphotos of these sculpts. I havent order one myself, but i think i would prefer the star. I really hope there will be photos soon :P

 

I ordered a Moon. I plan on putting her on a Dollchateau Bella body. She will be a dark Mori girl

What do you mean by "released"? They were already released for a limited time. Do you mean when will people start getting them? DZ is around a 5-month wait, so that's the best rough calculation for arrival.

 

DollZone April orders are coming any day soon, I think my MooN was a May order??? That's based on the dealer I ordered through, who pots in monthly orders...I am beyond excited, infact it has been that long, I have kinda forgotten what I had in mind for my girl now

 

I messaged DollMix on august 16th. They said they had just received march orders. I am assuming that april orders are going to be sent some time in September and may ones in October

I guess we are all getting gory babies in Halloween month

 

Yeah, I just paid off my Moon so when it comes she'll just ship. But no big rush.....I'm used to the dolly waiting game...

 

I hope to see more dolls in the tarot line. I would like to see what they would look like. I bet they would be as pretty as the stars and the moon. ^-^

Wow, now I'm curious when I'll get mine. She's all paid off. Since I'm going out of town next week I better contact DDE since I don't want a box coming while I'm out of town. A head I got painted recently got delivered yesterday and was left on my front step out in insanely pouring rain. Luckily the artist had wrapped the box in lots of tape but that was disconcerting. Now I'm all excited for Star to get here. Guess I better get her named....

I ordered my Moon from Denver Doll and I just emailed them asking when they're getting their May orders, they said 3-4 weeks ^.^

 

@sadrabbit I imagine my wait will be similar, though I haven't asked. I'm prepared to wait till the end of the month. Hopefully not much longer though! I'm so excited to paint mine already.

Wow @Sadomina those are amazing. Great work on the paint and customizing the baby and the jars and well....everything. You rock. I hope someday to see my Moon.....I think she's somewhere over the rainbow...
