Hello, here with another resin comparison ask….. one day I will quit hybriding but until that day I will suffer. I have a doll from a small indie maker (a Kukudoll deer) in some kind of semi-white. I’ve been struggling to find a match in a resin color that is somewhat easy to come by. I have a Dollzone girl in peach, and it seems to be a pretty decent match, but unfortunately I have no clue what matches DZ peach. I was really hoping for an easy match like Mia Pink. Does anyone have any comparisons between DZ peach and mia pink? Or, as a much further long shot, Huajing pink and DZ peach? Thanks!
Dollzone offered Mia pink a while ago. But I am curious as well. As I have normal pink skin body from arround 2021, which is very close to Mia pink, and the I have a pink skin body from last year, which is really very pink. I need to order hands for both of the bodies. So I am clueless, what to order now. At the moment, they are not offering Mia pink. Only 4 different skin tones.
Is Mia pink actually a standard color? I have a QQ Doll Tomato on Lsisil body, they're both supposed to be Mia pink but the body is more saturated -- way past the 'slight difference' in my books, but a faceup and some clothing might solve the problem once I finally get down to customizing her After searching the forum, one thing I managed to confirm was that DZ pink is rather pink in its pinkiness; I might get a DZ body for an ACAT BO head which is supposedly a very light pink shade so if I make a decision, it's probably going to be peach. Several months from now, I may be able to actually contribute Here's some reference posts I managed to track down, and they're pretty new too: /threads/huajing-normal-comparisons.889167/ /threads/combining-df-h-resin-and-dollzone-resin.882213/ /threads/myou-normal-vs-dollzone-white-peach.871771/ <<< THIS Someone somewhere did mention that DZ is pretty inconsistent with resin colors as the time passes... Would a comparison photo of MYOU normal pink and Mia pink (the lighter shade, not the body) help or not so much?
I have a doll from Dolly Zone (same company as Doll Zone) that I was fortunate enough to purchase secondhand last month. She is in Peach resin. If you're wanting to buy one of the mia colors, I think mia white may be a better match than mia pink! Here is a photo that I took this morning, (it is overcast today, so the lighting may be a little dark). I also never got the year that my Dolly Zone girl was cast in, but she can not be older than 2022 (she is a Dolly Zone BonBon). MiaWhiteColorComparison by Little Wren, on Flickr Every company has a slight variation in color; all of the pieces I ordered earlier this year were advertised as a "comparison to mia white". All of the pieces in the picture have a very slight pink/peachy tone to them. I also want to note that the Gem of Doll body cast in 2024 was also bought secondhand and has lost a bit of its peachiness. I hope this helps!
