    3. They are pretty weird but enticing as well, though I can't see getting one (them?) myself.

    4. I'd love to get the open eyed head w/horns but have no interest in the rest of it (maybe the hands). I'll just wait and see if any happen to pop up on the MP later, not that I need another floating head XD

    5. Ooh that's really creepy! I love it! :D Though money does not grow on trees...perhaps one day.

    6. I'm honestly tempted. They'd function more like curios then dolls, if that makes any sense.

    8. Oh yay, new thread! :)
      Val is awesome <3

In contribution to the new thread spam, here's Azrael is his amazing new suit! :D

    11. Wow, I said I'd post Pictures in July, and here I am now....

      [IMG]IMG_6355

This is Grim, who it the reason my girlfriend never gets to name the reapers anymore. (Grim... the reaper...) and he is a yellowed Soon Gluino mechanical Vampire head on a Dollzone Gene body

      • x 4
    12. As well, and I'm so sorry about the spam, the gene head he took over for got a new body

      [IMG]IMG_6355

This is Euphony, who was named in a grade ten English class. He goes by E most of the time, cause he thinks the name his dad gave him is way more pretentious than he wants to be.... I need to redo his wig, cause I made it when he was a Raymond head, and Gene's head is smaller... He's on the DC a-04 body in their old white, so the resin match is workable but not perfect

I promised Talon that I'd blush his claws, but that hasn't happened. He's very cross with me.

    15. I just placed an order for the new guy, Dollzone YuHan. Looking forward to having finally a guy that will work with my slender DT Elf girls.

    16. So - I have a Dollzone NB58-001 body and I knew he'd be a bit slim, but I didn't completely anticipate that this might lead to some difficulties with buying clothes.

I was mostly wondering if 2cm variation in hips is acceptable for pants, or if I should find/request shops that tailor given it's such a finicky, small difference? He's my first SD, so I'm not sure where the line is drawn at this scale.

It should be noted I can't sew - I have tried, and my pain disorder puts me in a world of hurt for It. I reeeeally don't think making and modding doll clothes is something I should stake my comfort for literal days over.

      Thanks!

    18. Okay, so I have a special edition SD Mo head on layaway and I can't find his measurements or get any sense of what body(ies) would work best. Any information would be helpful!

    19. Guys.... I'm way too anxious right now...

Carol from Angelesque received all her DC/DZ orders from March, April (I have my wife's twins in that one), May, and some of June (also got an order in there) in and I'm at the edge of my seat to see if some of my stuff was included in the June order. I don't want to get my hopes up honestly, buuuuuut.... I'm still hopeful.

As for the April order, they are for my wife, so Mel and Val will both get their husbands (who are twins), and in June Val and Tar will get their daughter XD

    20. Ahhhhh, He looks amazing in that suit. :drool:drool:drool

      • x 1
    21. @IzabethS - Ooh fingers crossed! :D Let us know what happens!

@SteamWitch - Thank you! :) I'm a sucker for pretty guys in suits (and assertive women too). Having him in this is like a dream come true. I did wash the pants and waistcoat today and holy cow SO much dye came out. He's 90% covered in MSC so he should have been safe either way but wow. :frownyblush:

      • x 1
    22. @Quiet and Insane Dark dyed clothes are nice but the dyed fabric isn't rinsed enough before they make doll clothes out of it. Glad he is unstained.

      • x 1
    23. @SteamWitch - If it's even rinsed at all! :frownyblush: I'm glad he got out unstained, and I'm glad I was able to hand wash the suit. Though I've always wanted to see what the reaction would if I took it to a dry-cleaners.

      • x 1
    24. That would be a riot, preshrunk suit to be cleaned please. LOL

      • x 1
    25. Though I'd be a little worried they'd lose something, if not the whole thing given the size.

      • x 1
    26. I'd be more concerned about shrinkage and felting, personally. With a suit that small and dapper it would be such a tragedy. (one of my cashmere sweaters got felted at the cleaners and I've never quite gotten over it.)

      • x 1
    27. The DZ Snow twins have shipped from Angelesque today! My June order that is for me mostly hasn't arrived yet (sad panda), but at least my wife will have her twins Darten and Taren and Mel and Val will have their husbands!

      • x 2
    28. @Girrl - Mmm that's a very good point. Though I've never heard of something shrinking at the dry cleaners.

@IzabethS - Woo! :D That's great news (except for the bit where you're still waiting on dolls).

      • x 1
    29. [IMG]
They made it!! My wife is thrilled with them!

Neither of their clothes are here yet, and Darten (the dark haired twin) needs his proper eyes, so they are borrowing stuff, but at least they got their wigs.
Darten is on the new B60-005 body, and Tar (the light haired twin) is on the B60-004 body.

      • x 8
    30. Ooh hello new dolls! :D I love the coat Tar is wearing.

      • x 1
    31. Congrats on the doll delivery. They look cute in their borrowed clothes.

    32. Is it me or does Licht lookslike Eddie Redmayne, the actor who plays Newt in Fantastic Beasts ?

      @IzabethS , you've got lovely twins there! :)

      • x 1
    33. @Lilla I was thinking the exact same thing.

      • x 1
    34. @Lilla @Cloudedmind I knew he reminded me of someone but I couldn't figure out who! He's a beautiful sculpt. Regretting my Mo-B now.

      • x 1
    35. I was thinking he looked like a skinny James McAvoy. That nose is to thin for either but he is a gorgeous sculpt. :aheartbea:aheartbea:aheartbea

      • x 1
    36. Sorry if I'm asking in the wrong place, but does anyone know of any companies who are a good match for Dollzone's Normal Yellow resin and have smaller (55-58cm) male bodies? I have a Mo-B head that I'd like to find a better body for, since his current one doesn't really match at all, and the DZ bodies are taller than what I want for him.

I have a Sweetdoll Allison, and I really like his body, but unfortunately I can't find a working website for them.

      • x 1
    37. @Tira-chan , Do you mean the old yellow resin that looked like a tan or the new yellow resin?
Is Mo-B an old sculpt? I cannot find him under the 1/3 tab.

      • x 1
    38. @Lilla, it's a limited SD-scale version of the 1/4th Mo head from a promotional event. It came out in 2010, so I don't know if that counts as "older." He's not particularly tan, though; he's not darker than the other "normal skin" dolls I have, he just has a yellower undertone to his skin rather than a pinkish one.

      • x 1
    39. Ok so he's really quite old then. Would you happen to have a photo of him?

      • x 1
    40. @Tira-chan , As @Quiet and Insane said, a photo would probably help. I only have the 'tan/old yellow' that was discontinued early 2016.

      • x 1
    41. Silfe has a new faceup. He also got a scar out of the deal. There's a nick in his resin on that spot, and I couldn't stop imagining him with a scar there. I think I overdid it though. It's much too red... :(

    42. I think it looks quite good actually @Redfaery :)

Here's a picture of Calder, so you can see his skintone. The Resinsoul body isn't a terrible match, but it's a better match for a floating head I have, and I'd like Cal to be shorter.

Please forgive my terrible camera work...

    44. Does anyone have any resin comparisons to offer for Dollzone Pink (and Peach, although that's such a new color I don't know if anyone would have any examples).

The hybrid (head) I'm trying to work with should be similar to:
      Resinsoul normal (very pale pink)
DIM normal pink (supposed to match very well with Resinsoul normal)
Dollshe Fresh (although Fresh is slightly more creamy/yellow).

I would ask for Dollzone WS comparisons as well, but I think it is pretty stark white/creamy white.

Also, is DZ pretty consistent with colors? I'm planning on an Alice's Collections order and thought I might add some of the DZ 1/4 hands in normal pink and peach just to see an example of the colors before buying the body, but if the colors are likely to change a lot between batches, I'll save the money.

I'm going to ask in the Mini Dollzone thread, too, since I'm considering one of the 1/4 bodies, but I thought I would check here as well.

      Thank you!

    45. I don't know about DZ resins currently, but they have a history of unstable and varying resin colours. However, this may help you:

    46. Thank you @Quiet and Insane! Although the only color I have at home close to those on your list is Dollshe Fresh / Dollshe Oriental-matching resin, that is helpful!

At this point, I'm not sure whether to try the white or the peach/pink, but I guess I'll wait for the heads to come in.

      Thank you again!

    47. You're quite welcome. Sorry I can't be more specific, but hopefully it all works out for you. :)

      • x 1
    48. Thanks so much for such helpful information, @Quiet and Insane ! It really comes handy for matching different parts such as jointed hands!
Also, does anyone has an experience matching 1/3 normal pink body with not DZ jointed hands? I've just got 2014 Raymond and sadly had found out that there was no possibility to buy DZ jointed hands anymore. T________T
Really sorry if there was such question earlier, I'm very new with bjd and have little bit of experience((( But I'm really glad to see so many gorgeous DZ members here!

    49. EEEEEEEEEE!!!

My large DZ order from June 11th finally shipped from Angelesque yesterday, but not before Carol sent me a picture of my April!

I feel she's even prettier without the company face up! She, and the rest, are going to arrive on Monday!

    50. @EmmaLuSS - I'm very glad it's helpful! :) I love taking resin matching photos - there's something so satisfying about seeing them all laid out together. Hmm. I have a 2015 DZ pink doll (well ok, my fiance does) but I would have no idea who it would match at the moment. What I can say however is that the DZ jointed hands are...really not that great for the money you pay for them. I bought a pair a few years back when they re-released them and they're very out of proportion and just cannot pose for the life of them, unless you wire them like mad. Very tedious work. But that's just me.
Aldarion is gorgeous! :D I have a soft spot for Raymonds (as you can tell from my avatar... ;) )

@IzabethS - Ahh how gorgeous! :D I can't wait to see her and the rest of your new dolls all painted up.

      • x 1
    51. I second the wonky posing of the DZ hands. I have a pair of the armour claw hands and they're mot often curled into fists because they just wanna be that way. If I do uncurl them, the fingers go into a weirdly splayed, extreme jazz hands sort of deal. But I didn't buy them for the poseability (or lack thereof) but for the look of them. If I could've gotten them as static hands, I would've.

Khale (Leeke Khal, muscle body) is the one who wears them and they fit well on him and I think they look fine proportionally. But the muscle body is also just that. Pretty muscular. I think they'd be clown hands on a skinny body.

      • x 1
    52. Yes! Extreme jazz hands is a very accurate description of them. Extreme yaoi jazz hands. The hands made for 70 cm boys would fit better on 80 cm boys I feel.

      • x 1
    53. Extreme yaoi jazz hands *falls over laughing*. Yes! This!

The DZ hands would likely look ok on Dollshe boys as they've got some fairly large hands to begin with. But the Dollshe hands are really nice to start with so.....

I think part of the reason the armour claw hands look fine on Khale is because they're not "normal" hands. They're very much fantasy so I think the eye allows for some variation proportionally. Or I'm just seeing what I want to see *shrugs*.

      • x 1
    54. I think the only issue would be that DollShe wrists are rather wide and flat (at least on the bigger bodies) compared to the rounder DZ wrists. But the proportion would be much better.

Ah yes now that would make sense. The slight difference in scale is more noticeable when you're trying to be realistic.

      • x 1
    55. My large order arrived, and the doll I was most excited for is on the wrong body (Daomiao), but fortunately the dealer still has the right one with her so we're doing a swap!

But! The April is on the right body and she's wigged and dressed now. Gotta get her some new eyes though...

      • x 4
    56. Bummer about the body, but at least it's a quick fix.
April is super cute! I love how her ears poke out between her wig. :)

      • x 1
    57. @Quiet and Insane Thanks a lot for your help with my hands question. That's a shame, but I guess, there's no any possibility to get them anyway. So that's an opportunity to find something else)))
Oh yes, your Instagram pictures of your Raymond character are very noticeable! :whee:

    58. Hello all. I am excitedly awaiting a new arrival of a fullset Nan which is on the NB56-001 body. Is she allowed on this thread?
