galatia9, cool! I have not seen anybody Yuu-2 more! He is so handsome! I really like his face! Akone suited the dark hair color! Yuu-2 somehow I always imagined a white wolf ...I left his name because "Yuu" translated as "noble"..

 

Yuu is such a pretty boy sculpt, but Chen definitely won me over for my character Val.

Nah, she's a Stramonium, but my only big DZ boy is a Chen. I'm right now repainting him too so expect some spam later today of him!

oh wow new thread spam has overwhelmed me I'm afraid I've just got blank Latte to post today - I'm still undecided what to do with her but I have put different eyes and EYELASHES in, and I think she's improved by them? Normally my dolls don't have eyelashes, but I think Latte needs them maybe - there's only her and Clovera who have them (and Lola my dz midi)

And I'm feeling great from all this love my guys are getting. They are too. They snuck off to see each other...my star-crossed lovers.

 

Latte does look lovely with those eyelashes, makes her seem a little more "alive" than just blank.

Your two star-crossed lovers are certainly a striking pair Redfaery, I've missed seeing them. I'm slowly adjusting to Tam's new shell, but he does look handsome like that. And black hair is hard to move away from. It's just too fabulous.

And I'm casting a "no" for those eyelashes. They're too sparse, and it makes them look costume-y.

 

Thanks for the feedback Redfaery and galatia9, I just pulled his eyelashes off carefully but they still took a chunk of his eyeliner with. So I resealed him and painted over the little gap and am now waiting for the gloss to dry again.

I'll also try with him the sideways glance. He does have narrow eyes though usually I prefer my dolls looking forward. We'll see how it looks soon!

Thanks galatia9, he definitely still feels like Val! So that's a good thing. I sometimes worry when I redo my dolls face ups that they won't look true to their characters anymore, but I've been pretty lucky so far. Val is now on his third face up in 3.5 years, and the old face up he had for about 2 years I think. I've been meaning to redo it, I just couldn't due to how many commissions I always had. Now that February is over, it's time to work for customers again!

Your Hong is very handsome, only one of my 3 boy dolls has eyelashes, mostly because he's meant to be androgynous. One of them doesn't even have any painted eyelashes, but he's a dragon so he doesn't need them I suppose?

 

Hah! That's the exact opposite of me, Iza. If I haven't tinkered with a doll's look in a couple of *months*....tops!....I get antsy.

 

thank you IzabethS and galatia9 yes I am surprised at the difference it made to her - she was quite ugly before - and now she's borderline almost pretty, with the right faceup! I just stick lashes in with sticky tape - really easy but they do go downwards rather than out and upwards - which is fine for Latte's downcast eyes but otherwise is a bit annoying - it's how dollzone do them so that's what gave me the idea!

I love your side-glancing boys both of you - it's a trick I have only just discovered with my dolls this week too - I'm amazed at how something as small as that can transform a doll!

Redfaery your boys are incorrigible (I love that word and rarely get a chance to use it) ^_^

meanwhile, here's a photo of my lovely 'new' Una, which shows her eyes better - they're the default which came with my Island Doll midi hejin, and really I loved her the minute I put them in, with the weird 'ears' and all - she turned into a character, rather than a depressed looking old frump (I see enough of that when I look in the mirror) ^_^

what's so great about BJD, which has taken me 2 years to realise *sigh* is that you don't need loads of dolls - just a simple eye or wig change if you're bored, and you have a 'new' doll!

Thanks! I do love seeing Jazz and Val. Giving dolls a bit of a sideways glance does seem to help them 'look' at the camera a little better. I tend to do that with my Saint, though I've not tried it with Azrael yet...

Does anyone else have the FlickR app for smartphones? As much as I hate how the site is on a computer now, I think the app is great. I absolutely love the filters. I find myself using "throwback" and "Noir" for Silfe & Tam...it suits their storylines.

They look so great together like this! I'm still (im)patiently awaiting Val's new body and his boyfriend's. Val just doesn't know how to keep it in his pants. When I first had him pop up in my head, he was gay, but then he turned bi, finally to settle into being pansexual. He really doesn't care at all about gender, as long as he's loved as much as he loves in return.

 

Silfe is gay, but very much monogamous. His character followed almost the opposite trajectory from Val! He started out as straight, then wobbled between bi and pan before just smacking me upside the head and going "I'm gay. Get me a boyfriend."

Back then, Tam was...well, it was irrelevant. He was a friend of Silfe's. That much I knew. But he was angry and hurt about something. Finally I figured out that they *belonged* together. They're a lot alike...

 

All of my guys are either bi or gay as they are the characters from my novels and I write m/m erotica. I have one OT for DoA doll that is the shell for a character that is hermaphroditic. Misu identifies as male although when he has sex (his partner, Gunari, is male), he insists on all his junk getting in on the happy fun times.

Fei-Lau (DZ Edward) is a god and he's had lovers of both sexes. The sex of his partner(s) isn't important to him as he finds things about both sexes attractive and is more into the individual than whatever their gender is. Currently, his lovers are Sleet and Khale (both male). Sleet, before he became Fei-Lau's lover (Fei-Lau and Sleet were lovers for 10 years before Khale came into their lives), would have sex with anyone that caught his eye, male or female. Although, to be fair, Sleet never saw those lovers as people. They were toys to use and dispose of once he was done with them (Sleet is a sociopath and has killed at least half of his former lovers). Khale, when he was young, tried to court a girl and that ended... badly (he accidentally killed her when his Ice Hands manifested). His first lover, however, was male and he discovered through subsequent events that his deepest pleasure was had at the feet of powerful men. It would be completely fair to say that Khale is gay and the disastrous wooing of the girl was him testing his preferences as after that one attempt, he's never been with a female and has no interest in experiencing that.

 

Heh....Iron_Dog, your guys sound like they get out a lot more than my two! They both like things rather kinky, but I'm glad to say no one's died from it. The specifics of their relationship do depend on what story I'm writing, though, but Silfe and Tam are starcrossed, whatever version of my stories they're in. Right now, Tam is cursed to be a dragon during the nighttime and a man only by day. Kind of puts a crimp in a relationship just from logistics problems!

The relationship between the 3 of them is VERY kinky. Fei-Lau is Dom to both Sleet and Khale. Sleet is also sometimes a Dom to Khale when they play without Fei-Lau. Khale is always submissive regardless of who he's with. Fei-Lau is also a sadist which works well with him and Sleet as Sleet is a sado-masochist (he'll take on either role depending on who he's with). Khale isn't a pain slut like Sleet but Khale does enjoy knife/blood play a good deal. And just to make things even more interesting, Sleet was originally a Meadow Fairy before Fei-Lau turned him into his minion. This means that as far as size goes, Sleet is just barely scraping the 3' mark while Fei-Lau and Khale are 6' tall. And yes, Sleet does enjoy full-on penetrative sex with Fei-Lau (Khale isn't comfortable with the idea of doing anyone so hasn't despite Sleet's repeated demands to be done). The penetrative sex doesn't happen nearly as often as Sleet would like (denial is part of their play repertoire, too) but he does get it fairly frequently.

These guys are probably my kinkiest pairing but Fei-Lau's brothers do get up to some rather interesting times as well. Especially since one of them is the God of Carnal Desires (he's currently enjoying Khale's 1/2 brothers, identical twin lust demons).

elve: My Awh'anise guys would be horrified at the idea of going 15 days without any action *snickers*. Khale would enjoy the denial because he's into that aspect of play. Sleet would become extremely frustrated and go kill... stuff. Ryzel would be close to starvation after 15 days (he's an Incubus). Haniel, Ryzel's son, could last longer than 15 days but he's not a full Incubus, having another type of demon mixed in his genetics and not entirely dependant on sex as a food source.

There's a lot of shenanigans that goes on in my group.

Hehe, Val's not the only one who can't keep it in his pants IzabethS! Azrael's quite like that too. He's bisexual, but rather picky. He tends to be attracted to women who are somewhat submissive. On the flipside, he's attracted to guys who are more dominant. It kinda makes sense that his boyfriend is a viking warrior. Can't get much more dominant than that. XD

I am in the process of writing Fei-Lau, Sleet and Khale's story but there are some shorts and a novella available as free-reads. I have several Awh'anise fictions available as free-reads and the main story with Ryzel is Blind Desire, which is available through my publisher. There's also a good bit of free-reads in the Blind Desire world that I can link you to. Additionally, I have yet more stories with more characters as both free-reads and books that you need to buy as well as one story that is epic in size and only available on a monthly pay site.

I'm a fairly prolific writer and often lean to the epic sized story (several are over the 200K mark). I've also got a very large body of fanfic in multiple fandoms.

 

Val has really developed even more the past few years. He may seem like an easy lay, but he isn't really. He hasn't had "sex" in years because he's tired of one nightstands. With him being a vampire he does need to feed though. In my lore a vampire has to feed off of a living things blood to get life energy, and the most satisfying boost comes from aroused blood.

Val was actually happily married to a woman and had a son when he was still alive. That all sadly ended when his sire massacred his village and family, and turned Val against his will into a vampire. His sire had to literally force him to feed because he never wanted to. 30 years of that he finally discovers that his son was still alive, but had become a vampire hunter and was convinced that Val was the one that killed everyone. So Val spends another 10 years evading his son to keep him alive until his sire orders him to kill him. In my lore vampires HAVE to do what their sire tells them to, fledglings most of the time do not have free will. Killing his own son finally caused Val to snap and kill his own sire and take his place as the second highest ranking vampire lord, which is a title he's kept for over 600 years now. Also Val does not have any fledglings, he bitterly refuses to have even one.

The funny thing with his boyfriend is, is that it's a very taboo love between the two of them. His love is a high ranking paladin, who originally intended to kill Val, but Val saved his life without wanting anything in return. So Nexus (the paladin) decided to try and figure out why Val didn't kill him and they become friends and eventually lovers.

 

IzabethS: That sounds like a really cool story. Do you have that available to read anywhere?

 

Thanks, and sadly I don't have it right now anywhere. I'm currently using Val mostly in an RP with my SO (Nexus is her character), but I'm (very) slowly working on a solo story with Val.

 

Good luck with the writing! It sometimes goes in spates that seems slower than frozen snail spit and every word needs to be wrestled into a sentence. Other times, the words flow so fast, you have a hard time keeping up.

One day I'd like to have this published. My main issue is sticking to one story and actually finishing it...I think I've got a dozen different stories all started, but none finished (apart from a short story about a frog aimed at children.) I have had a poem published once.

Hi everyone! I am looking to get a DZ body for a floating head of mine, and I was wondering if anyone could help me with comparisons? I posted a photo request thread, but I was hoping dollzone owners here might be able to help me. I am looking at the body that comes with Leslie/Raymond but I need to see the proportions next to some other male bodies. Jazz got some piercings today, and was bitterly fighting me on putting them on. I also discovered that her pretty doll heart outfit heavily stained her boobs. Fortunately I was able to get the staining off, but at the price of her torso blushing. At least the scar is still in tact.

The piercings are just glued Quiet, I didn't want to drill her because I'd never be able to replace her if anything bad happened! I had to bend and cut the rings and reglue them twice because I'm a derp and pose my dolls heads by their ears.

 

I brought Fei-Lau in to work with me today and nothing quite brightens up your day like having a pretty guy sitting on the corner of your desk smiling softly at you. I am so glad that I work in a cool office that doesn't bat an eye at seeing a big doll casually hanging out on my desk.

 

Fair enough IzabethS - I tend to pose my dolls via their ears as well. Though none of mine have piercings...yet.

Iron_Dog - I wish I could bring one of my guys to the lab with me but the OHS standards are pretty strict so that a no-go. My lab is all the way down the very end of the corridor and no one bar me and my supervisor ever goes down there so it gets kinda lonely after hours.

 

It must be a day for bringing big guys to work. I brought two of mine (actually one is my girlfriend's)

Thanks anyway, Quiet and Insane.. I ended up just ordering the body, and taking the gamble on it. Hopefully it won't be horribly wrong on the proportions lol. If it is, I have plenty other floating heads that could use it, so it won't be a total waste. I'll probably be lurking here, until it gets in, though I do have my 65cm hybrid boy. He's a Leeke Lion head on the 65cm body.

 

The office I work in is very small. There's just me and my main boss and my semi-retired former boss. There's an architect that shares office space with us (and I work for him, too) but he's part of a different company. I've even brought in both Fei-Lau and Khale at once and had them crowd my desk at work and nothing was said. For Halloween one year I brought in the rats I had at the time and worked with them sitting on my shoulder or sleeping in my lap. My current wallpaper is the cover of my latest novel but I'll often have pictures of my dolls set as my wallpaper.

I work in a really awesome office.

 

Joe is my first SD-sized boy. I was a bit shy about posting him, but now that I've had him home a few weeks, I've worked up enough courage to share him with you all

Thank you for the kind words everyone - I bet if Joe could blush that's what he'd be doing I'm having a lot of fun buying cool/casual clothes for this guy. I feel like there are more clothes available for an SD boy than any of my other dolls, and it's a wonderful dilemma to have.

 

yes I agree MONApandium - when I first started with dolls I only ever wanted girls! I have a son in real life and no way - I wanted pink frilly dresses and all that stuff - no boy dolls - But it seems they have a better selection of clothes for boy dolls than they do for human boys, so now I've got more boys than girls ^_^

Yes there is a lot of stuff out there for the guys. I don't own any girl dolls so I've never actually had any reason to see how it compares, but there's an almost overwhelming amount of clothes for the 70cm boys. Oh for unlimited doll funds! And a bigger house.
