Thank you! I couldn’t bare selling my Chen after Val got reshelled, so I kept the head and put it in a girl body. With the pink and blonde Monique JoJo wig and the dark eye makeup she reads like a Y2K skater girl and I’m living for it!

That’s a fair point. There’s no doubt they’ve grown in their sculpting and fullest presentation. I suppose I’m nostalgic for the old sculpts, which is why I have a ton of them. Though I do struggle with their limited order periods for certain sculpts, it makes the FOMO-beast rear its ugly head trying to convince me to be financially irresponsible. But as mentioned before, I am fine not owning the sculpts of the past few years from Dollzone, mostly because I don’t want to expand my 1/4 scale collection, and I’m more focused on female dolls than big handsome male dolls. they are gorgeous, but I have no need or desire to own them.

 

Longshot, but does anyone happen to know how any recent Dollzone skintone (normal pink or peach are the most likely possible matches, I guess XD) compares to a recent-ish Soom normal or cream?

Was checking on Dollzone, as my Hush arrived and I'm in love with their 75 body now and I see they are really getting a lot of new ideas out! I was checking both their weibo and Instagram and between the Moon 73 boy, that neat wyvern and this new boss lady I won't know what to do! And I already have a layaway on a different doll...

WAIT is it just me or she has that wyvern as her pet?

 

@solinvictus Wait, Hush is finally in? (I want to ask if they have extras, but shouldn't.) Something tells me that I won't be seeing Destin until Oct. One year I'll dress him up as one of those characters from that show "Black Mirror", for Halloween.

@tinyflame Yes, he's here! I was quite pleasantly surprised as I expected to wait a year or so. The biggest doll body I handled so far, but stands like a rock and poses very well with rubber kips molded in resin inside some of the joints.
I hope Destin will be shipping soon - he has very dreamy face!

 

@solinvictus Yes! The two of them have dreamy faces. I'm doing well, being patient for him to ship. And, it'll be nice if I could try giving mine a face-up this fall.

 

Anyone else getting Dollzone's wyvern? I plan on ordering him in black resin, assuming he doesn't sell out before Alice, DDE, or NCS offer him.

 

I have seen him and holy wyverns he's very pretty. The size of that boy and the detail of the sculpting is truly, genuinely astonishing. That black/red fade painted one in the pictures looks almost real in some of the photos.

I won't get one since it's too big for me and I already have one dragon to wrangle, but I will absolutely look forward to you or anybody sharing pictures.

At like 60 cm wide, the Wyvern might be too much for me although it would look so cool on the desk in my office. I managed to talk myself out of the new lady, as I already have a doll with a similar hat and military vibes, but I'm already struggling with one layaway on and so many companies offering attractive discounts in the summer haha

I'm in that renaissance hobby stage when after collecting just girl dolls for many years I'm getting into boy dolls. I've been interested in the new Moon boy as well, but I will probably wait till it is nearer the end of August to see if I'm still keen on ordering or if it was just a sudden fascination with the new body type etc. I mean, the way the new 73cm body poses is soooo good: 微博 (DZ video)

They are indeed releasing dolls with the speed of light... I'm safe from Troy, but I looove his white/fire colour scheme - I need to do something like that on one of my dolls.

 

Off topic: I want something like the Ringdoll Bast outfit for my guy. I know he'd look in it.
On topic: Should I buy him a weird sweater? And, make him a more casual sweater?

 

Received my Mr. Loong's, and they are very inspiring.
Tried them on the DZ 68-001, it's WS from 2023. you can see the level of mellow even tucked away in box in dark room, used in only one photo shoot indoors, and now this one. Apologies for low light cell phone pics, i have misplaced my soft box somewhere.

The head shown here is WS, I can post the pic with all 3 heads later if anyone wants it.

the head looks a little large in pics face on mostly due to the feathery details, but from the sides looks great.
I bet in clothing it's less noticeable since it was not as obvious to the eye in person.
The neck difference is also not too noticeable due to the same feathery details.
he cannot look up much more than pic#2 (L to R) or the face pops off.
He sure can look down though (I can hear him saying kneel you puny mortals...)

the neck well is really not that oversized to this body, but I think you could definitely put him on many sizes, with the limitation being looking up, or the faceplate not closing if the neck is too thick.

@lynxie - I strung the LS73, when I can take pics next I'll do a hybrid thread with him on that for you

 

@Grimalkin omg! Thank you so much! He looks amazing on this size I think. However you style any of the heads please @ me, I want to see what you do with them! And thank you so much, I really appreciate the comparison with LS73 specifically.

@Cloudedmind I want to give him dark hair and dress him in something red, so I'll keep a lookout for nice fantasy clothes. The plans are vague for now until he gets a body.
Originally I was going to put him on the new Story of Seventh Day body, but then I realized I ordered that in soom cream white and order Sylvan in soom peony white....

Since Dollzone recently teased a new 75cm body, I'm hoping it will be more slender than the current 75cm so that I can get it in matching resin tone. Hopefuly it will decently fit ID75 clothes.

 

@tinyflame he looks so cool! I can sympathize about the floating head - it's super difficult to put it on the body when they pack it separately...

@aestellica first owner photo I saw of Sylvan - congrats! His faceup looks very good and pretty accurate to what the official pictures shown - this is great as gives me good hopes that my future Moon will also have faceup as on the company pics

 

Hello everyone! I figured I’d post my big boy that just arrived a few days ago. I ordered an Even B regular version in peach skin. I’m so happy with him.
Please excuse my messy unmade bed lol I was desperately trying to find anything that I can dress him with so I just dumped everything on my bed. I legit had nothing prepared for his arrival lol


He is now my biggest and he’s next to my Luts SSD hybrid who used to be my biggest till he arrived. At 77cm he doesn’t fit in my doll cabinet with all the others and will have to just live on a chair in my room out in the open lolol he’s on the back burner for now as I have others to complete before him but I’m still so excited.

 

Wow he's a big handsome boy! I hope you have a lot of fun customising him when it's his turn

I did poke around a little bit trying to find clothes that would fit him, and it looks like Luts Grand Senior Delf is the closest match. I don't 100% like what they currently have to offer so I'm still searching.

Anyone else know where they sell clothes for this size range? Aside from commission/customized

 

@GAUZE -mode of eve- Congrats on your new arrival. For clothes there are a few Chinese clothing makers on Taobao that are starting to make things for this size. I bought 3 suits by 闫氏病态, and Papazi just had a clothing order that included a size for DZ75. Most of these orders are time limited pre-orders, so you do have to keep an eye out.

Poking my head in here for a bit! Does anyone happen to have an older DZ doll, circa 2006-2010?

I recently bought an older secondhand doll, a DZ Celine from 2008. She didn't come with the same kind of certificate that my other doll from 2012 did. Instead of a card where you can write the date of arrival, it's a laminated card with her original release date on it.

I'm not sure if she's missing her certificate or if their certificates were different back then If anyone knows, I would appreciate it very much!

 

Hi all, did anyone end up ordering her from DZ or dealers?

I missed the preorder, but was thinking how i still love this head and felt i might hybrid her. i have a switch body im kinda meh with now but was thinking the DZ70cm body might be a bit too tall for my liking. so i was hoping to hybrid her, any suggestions for resin matches? was hoping maybe the Powder beige switch body i have now might work and i'll adapt, otherwise im open.

(hoping to make a demon / human doll with her, and have a ghost and angel as well with other dolls.)

I was wondering if anyone has received the dz70 body, and if you combine it with an 8.5-9" head (available in male compatible), will the proportions be okay? I'm very much in love with this body as I prefer to be skinny, but I'm worried that the overall silhouette won't look right given they shoulder width and waistline. I know there is a 73cm body, but I'd prefer not to be that tall if possible.

 

@river_seine I have the 70 body, I can try my Dollmore Kara Klum head (8.6 inches) on it when I get home tonight

 

@castironteapot Oh thank you, but I should have written exactly, what I'm looking for is the recently released DZ70 female body, is this the one you have? I should have written exactly because there are other 70cm bodies on dollzone, but I only had the 70 female body in my head lately so I overlooked it.

Does anyone have Feather Fox's head? Could I kindly ask what his the measurements are, circumference/length from tip of the nose to the back of the head, and what it looks like on smaller bodies? I know it can fit on a 60cm body, but I'm wondering if it's possible to go smaller too. My DZ Mr. Loong head looks okayish on the TD51 after all.

Welp Dollzone finally got me with their slim 75 body for an off topic head. I've been trying to find the perfect body for him so yeah I guess that's what I'll do.

 

The sculpting and posing of the latest dollzone bodies is amazing - I'm sure you will be very happy with the choice!

 

I'm glad to hear that about their posing he's my first 75 so I feel like I'll really notice the engineering if it's wonky (which I doubt) hopefully production won't be too long but I'm prepared for a longer wait.

 

So, where are you people buying clothes for your 73cm Dollzone bodies? I just pre-ordered Light and he's going to be my biggest doll by far (my next largest is 68cm). I need to find proper clothes for him but the body has such wide shoulders and a narrow waist and hips. Perfect for what I want, but I'm not sure where to find clothes in that size.

 

I have a 72cm Telesthesia Doll boy and yeah, it's rough. I think I kept three items from my initial clothes haul for him and everything else I had to replace. I think I've seen Loongsoul 73 as a size before so maybe compare the two and see if that would be close enough?

 

@LilTigre Taobao is probably going to be your best option for finding clothes for this size. There are clothing makers on TB that make clothes for the Loongsoul 73 size which is the closest size. The clothes won't be a perfect fit though as the LG has narrower shoulders but is a few centimeters thicker in almost every other measurement. However, if the body becomes popular enough in China like it looks like it might, then clothing makers might tweak the LG 73 size some to better fit the DZ body.

 

Hiya, does anyone have an Aska here and would you be so kind as to take a few photos for me? Especially of the profile and 3/4 view. Considering reshelling the head for one of my characters and Aska caught my eye. Any resin color is fine.

 

I can't describe how much I love Dollzone's new doll, Echo. She looks absolutely stunning in tan skin with that white faceup. I'm completely in love.
But I fear that 70 cm would be way to big for me, the biggest doll I have is an Angell Studio Aeolian with 64cm, and that is already very big for me.
I told myself I will not buy another big doll but now I've seen her and she's so gorgeous, aaaarrrggghh.

 

Echo is so pretty in tan! Dollzone is really knocking it out of the park. It blows my mind to see how far they (and BJD sculpting in general) have come. My first dolls were DZ back in early 2006

I'm in a similar conundrum of finding any dolls 65cm+ too large, and yet seriously debating acquiring the DZ snake body for a future hybrid. It's so cool to see an SD sized snake doll, but she's 168cm long which is beyond what my mind can envision

 

White snake is actually taller than me, which is bonkers to think about. When I get her, I’m putting her on a high shelf, so her tail can drape down, but not quiiiiite touch the ground. I als have the somewhat bonkers idea of painting patterns on the back of her scales on the tail, which is gonna take approximately forever, based on the length.
