@ahalfling I had a Miss Kitty once and it was hard dressing her. I have five dolls with the same body (three boys and two girls). The boys can wear Ken outfits. The girls are a little more difficult. I have tried Momoko shirts and shorts, they fit, and I got an outfit from Starshine Designs on Etsy that fit (shorts, tank top, and cardigan). For shoes the Kish 12” doll shoes fit really well. So do the Hujoo/ Taeyang sized ones. Regular yosd outfits (in my personal experience with DollHearts and Rosenlied) fit, but we’re just a bit too big in the waist. Sleeves a little long, minor issues. I hope this helps. It took me a long time to get them dressed, and I’m still looking for a sailor dress for one of the girls.

 

Today Gus (Yo Carter) got his wig. I was scared it wouldn't fit him. I tried the 6-7 size wig but it was too big. I couldn't find a size 6 so I went with a size 5.7 from For My Doll. I am happy to say it fits him & he looks great with it. Its a bit snug but it doesn't pop off or slide off so I am happy with it

 

It looks great on him. I love the color.

Anyone see the new anime boys KeAi & MiYou?

It’s like DZ read my mind and is trying to lure me back! I’ve been wishing for a yosd sized anime boy near 30cm (they are 29cm). I’ve looked at 2D and I just don’t like the faces. For some reason they are just a little off to me and not cute, but a tad bit creepy. This is just my opinion, nothing against the company. I was going to get a Volks MDD, but, the fact that they are vinyl, and cost more than I’m comfortable with, has made me put that off (for years!). I have a vinyl doll and staining is a real pain.

My delimma is: get MiYou as a fullset,, or just get the face up and ears? It only saves me a difference of $86. I’m also torn as I’m trying not to buy dolls anymore (I have two preordered). The fullset comes with the basic doll, face up, ears with blushing, fur tail, a wig, outfit and shoes. Sounds like good deal doesn’t it? OK, the fullset is worth it as it saves me a lot! Guess I answered my own question. I just have to see if I want to pay off another doll. Though, it would be my last one...maybe...

I did it! I ordered MiYou in normal pink with the fullset. My first ever fullset. It feels good! Angst over, now to wait.

 

Congratulations! I’m debating over MiYou as well. I’m thinking tan skin, and I kinda like the fullset, but not the faceup, and I don’t know if I’m wanting to pay that much for the fullset when I don’t even want part of it. I’ve never owned a DollZone, so they’re new to me.

 

@JenniferCatherine I think tan would look great, as he is a fox. I ordered mine at Alice’s Collections and you have the option to get the doll blank and buy the outfit without it being a fullset. All options are listed separately.


I went with the fullset as I’m getting frustrated with putting together a doll, and buying this item here, there, paying all the shipping, or waiting. I figured I’d just wait for it all one time. I do think I will be getting him a pair of shorts as the outfit looks ‘unfinished’ without them. He’s a boy, shouldn’t he be wearing pants? Maybe, I don’t know.

MiYou is adorable! I love those ears! And, the fullset definitely seems like a good deal. (It's like Dollzone read your mind.)

 

I adore MiYou as well. I'm not sure what the other one is supposed to be. He has horns and a bunny tail??? Cute either way.

 

I thought about that, but it doesn’t seem like they sell the tail separately, which I would love to have. I also can’t find the eyes or wig listed.

 

@LuckyXIII I was wondering too. Ox? Deer? But either the horns or tail are wrong when combined. Cute, but a mystery! Also the human ears are, not human like MiYou. I do like them both, had to pick just one.

I am also wondering if the ‘random eyes’ included with the dolls will be anime or regular? I guess in 6+ months I’ll know.

I’m pretty excited as MiYou is a boy. Most anime sculpts are cute girls. I love cute anime girls, I just have issues with girl bjds. I want them, but they just cause me so much grief! Boys are easier, lol.

 

Im planning to buy Miyou too! I wonder if Dollzone send same style look hair from the promotion picture. I believe they would send normal hair w/o hair wax or haircut but hopefully the hair look similar with promotion pic, im not good at haircut ;(

I would like to hear the opinion of shop to buy it from. two shops that I concern are Alice's collection and BJDivas. On den of angel, BJDivas posted event ad about Miyou, not Alice's collection but it seems like alice's collection have free EMS shipping to world wide, which BJDivas doesnt. Does BJDivas have any benefit other than AC'S EMS shipping?

One last concern is white skin of Doll zone. This is my first time buying DZ and white skin in my bjd experience. I was trying to search up for some old white skin DZ doll but didn't able to find that much. only thing I concern about DZ white skin is greening. it seems like I already see little greenish from their promotion pic, but it might be vary depends on computer and so on.
Does DZ white skin are type of resin that definitely (or commonly) have greening? I would really appreciate if someone post pic of DZ white skin produced near between 2010-15

 

New DZ (and DC) white skin is a little yellow, yes. I would describe it as a lemony cream. I actually thought I was sent a yellow doll when I received my DZ Candice.

However; their new white skin (the lemony cream one) is much more stable then their previous white skin (your mentioned 2010-2015). That old white skin was paper white, but yellowed fast and unevenly. New white skin seems to stick very well.

 

My yoCarter is in white skin and it is slightly creamy. I really like the color as apposed to sheer paper white.

MiYou is super cute! I don't really do anime dolls at all, but I really like him.

@Starphase - Alice's Collections do company events too, sometimes they're just a little late to update (unless it's exclusive to BJDivas of course). The people running BJDivas are amazing with all their communication and really go above and beyond the call of duty really. But then there's the free shipping from Alice's...look it's up to you really.

The new white resin is creamier in colour and much more stable than the old white, which started out as paper white and then turned either creamy in colour or just plain yellow. Mostly unevenly too.

 

Only difference between BJDivas and AC, is Divas is located in the US, so the shipping from them would be less than overseas, unless you live outside the US. And, yes AC does have free shipping for dolls less than 40cm.

I have quite a few white skin event dolls from DZ and DC. Oldest is from 2014, newest from 2016. All are paper white with the one from 2014 which is a nice creamy white. I live in a cool climate, which helps keep yellowing to a minimum though.

 

Thank you guys for advice! I end up ordering both pink and tan skin. This is my first time buying DZ doll and can't imagine to wait for 5-6months but every day I see Miyou promotion pic and will stand with it until then. Hopefully they come home safely. ;D

Miyou really caught my eye. For those more familiar with the boy body from Dollzone, how is it as far as possibility and finding clothes that fit?

 

@Krissim I only have the older 27cm bodies, and those are a little smaller (they fit Ken clothes). I’m hoping this body is easier to dress with regular yosd clothes. It looks bigger. All of the DZ dolls I have pose really well and are double jointed. The resin is nice and smooth, with no seam lines.

Thank you for the info. I was caught off guard how much I like the sculpt as usually the more stylized anime sculpts always look a bit off to me. His facial sculpt came out so cute with that little pout of his. I've probably looked back the stock images like 20 times to day. I might have to consider picking him up, even though I've heard Dollzone wait times tend to be on the longer side. XD

 

I fell in love with KeAi, and he’s going to be my first Dollzone, and first tiny doll. I went through bjdivas, who said I could order the fullset, but get it with the fox ears and tail instead of the horns. I think he’d make an adorable mischievous kitsune.

 

No fair! I’m jealous. I wanted KeAi to have the fox tail and ears but was told by the dealer I’m going through that they couldn’t do substitutions. And I almost went through BJDivas because I liked their longer layaway but got confused by their website. I’m getting both MiYou and KeAi and wanted a pair of fox boys.

 

@davri oh, great! I wanted that combination too, but figured I couldn’t get it. Nice to know BJDivas can do special requests.

Now to wait, sigh. Six months takes us to December. Something to look forward too during the dark winter months at least.

 

I ordered a Fullset MiYou through BJDivas today! I decided on Normal Pink skin because after some research, I don’t think I’d like DZ tan.

I'm hoping to take better pictures when I have time. She can also be tempremental, she's so very grumpy looking.

(She's modded/dyed/face-upped/eyes by me, but I should also mention her hands and feet are Resinsoul! I wanted her to be able to actually fit some shoes, and I really like how she's turned out with them!)

 

@nattherat amazing! You’ve got one gorgeous girl! The dye came out really pretty, and I love her outfit. Great idea on different feet. Finding shoes is tough!

 

Recently I was search up for DZ Tan skin also and I saw some post that it's very orange instead of brownish. So I directly asked to DZ how their tan color look like. And they gave me these two pictures and I decided to buy tan skin Miyou too.

so I guess DZ fixed pretty tan looking instead of Orange.

 

Thank you! I’m glad I switched her hands too, I wasn’t so keen on the original hands when the body is more mature. Looks like the most recent 1/6 releases have gorgeous hands though!

I am also another that finds DZ tan too orange. I ended up changing my last order to white skin after seeing owner pictures of tan. I’ll stick with dying. I have a NiuNiu boy due, and I’ll probably dye him if he sticks around!

 

Thank you for posting these! The tan is still a little too much on the orange side for my tastes, (I prefer a very cool brown) but it’s not as bad as some people make it out to be. Also, that body is very cute and makes me more excited for my MiYou. I don’t like the heavily blushed version they show on their site, personally. I’d love to see what your MiYou looks like as tan when you get him. I’m sure he’ll be very cute.

 

I have heard the wait for DollZone is a new level of patience.

It’s funny, I’ve seen so many posts about people being intimidated by 1/3rds, that I’m afraid that I’ll get my KeAi, see how tiny he is, and be afraid I’m going to break him!

 

I'm so sad they're retiring Bertha... I didn't want to make another Dollzone purchase again so soon but it looks like I'll have to if I ever want to get her :'D

On the bright side though I hope they keep making new 1/6 size heads to fill their absence...

 

My hand slipped... I ended up ordering a lot of stuff from DZ to get a Daomiao event doll. Carol from Angelesque was able to get the body switched from the BB27-005 to the BB27-004 instead, because I the event doll to be a girl. She's going to be the daughter of my DZ Chen named Val, and my wife's DZ Snow named Taren.

I can't wait to have the Daomiao in hand! The face is so cute, I've always loved Scarecrow Hal, but I don't collect MSDs or tinies, and the SD didn't speak to me. YoSD is perfect!

 

Oh how cute! I've been tempted to get Val a "human" body to disguise herself with from time to time but I'm unsure of what sort of body I'd like her on. I'm just too attached to that cute dragon butt of hers.

 

I don't know if this has already been mentioned somewhere else, but a girl on BJD Addicts noticed that MiYou's tail looks like it's made using real fur so I wanted to get an official confirmation. I sent DZ an email to ask if it's faux or real fur and they confirmed it's real fox fur.

I took screenshots of their replies and I can post them if you want, but if you don't believe me you can send them an email yourselves, they'll answer pretty quickly.

Hm, BJDivas said it was fake fur, so I wonder if she just got misinformation? Personally, I don’t care either way, but that is strange.

 

Yeah, maybe the dealers received wrong information... I have no idea. At first I thought there was just a misunderstanding on DZ part (language barrier etc), but then I sent them a second email asking which animal fur it is and they said fox.

 

Aww, I do hope it isn’t real fox fur. I looked at the pictures and I can’t tell. I’m not going to use the tail anyway, as I don’t care for tails on bjds, as they fall off or get in the way. If it is real, why? Fake is so much better and cheaper! One of the cons of a fullset, getting items you don’t want, need, or will use.

 

There is a chance that they could be getting the words fox and faux confused, language barrier and all. Either way I don't feel like it's such a bit deal. People use mohair still attached to the skin for wigs.

 

It can be a big deal to some though, depending on spiritual or religious beliefs or culture or more. Personally I think the heads-up is not only a good idea, but also respectful, and shouldn’t be dismissed as trivial. Thank you @vv_megane !

 

People are free to buy real mohair if they want, as long as it's clearly stated that it's real. In this case it's not specified if that fur is real or fake.

@vv_megane I also thank you for the heads up. Had I know I probably would have refused to buy the dolls. I was very upset when I read your post. I have always refused to buy real fur or to patronize any shop that sells it. I personally cannot tell from the images if it’s real or fake and I very much hope, as I cannot cancel my order, that faux and fox have merely been confused in the language translation. If it turns out to be real, I’m not sure what I’ll do.

 

@ShadowMist ugh, I'm really sorry at first I wanted to buy the fullset too, now I'm not so sure (for your same reason)...

In another thread someone said that maybe DZ lied to me, thinking that I wanted real fur when it's actually fake. Maybe you could email them too stating that you don't want real fur, just to see what they reply and if they tell you that it's fake.

(On a side note, I'm new to the forum so I'm not sure if this is OT? If it is, I'm sorry)

 

Update: DZ said it's real fox fur in their Instagram too (they replied to someone in the comments)

 

oh wow... glad they didn't have the outfit's up for sale separtly then... i thought it was cute but am strictly against animal abuse so i would have cried my eyes out if i exidentily bought real fur... (nope not a joke, i once cried a whole day when i exidentily took a big bite of a spring roll with chicken...)
Hope it will turn out to be a huge missunderstanding, why would they all the sudden start using real fur? That serves no use at all! Poor foxes :'(

 

As it was just confirmed that it is indeed real fox fur... I would still at least try to cancel the order. Explain your reasoning. They sold you a product that left out such a sensitive detail. If they still adamantly refuse... please don’t feel bad at all!! It wasn’t your fault as there was no way you could’ve known. Just get rid of the tail and focus on enjoying the rest of the (very beautiful) doll.

This is just such a shame. DollZone makes such incredible dolls and I have been a loyal customer for years. However... I, like others, just cannot support a business that supports such a practice. I really, really hope that DollZone will decide to change it to faux fur after all this.
