Thanks again, Quiet and Insane!

BB Jing was the first tiny I ever fell in love with back in 2007. But, I was so focused on SD sized boys, it took me a few years to finally get him. (As you can see, he's on a later version body with smaller hands.)

Aren't those little jeans cute?

 

Hah, back in 2007 I barely even knew what a BJD was! He's a total sweetie, and those jeans are just adorable!

 

Wow, I've been enjoying looking at all your little ones I'm in love with DollZone. I can't wait to get my own (currently looking to buy a Mini Kitty or a Miss Kitty, I don't know if this would be the right thread though).
Do any of you have any of the tiny fairies? (I can't remember the name, is it BB series?)

 

I have a DZ Dale on the fairy body without the wings, I believe they are the BB18-001 series. I can post a picture of her and my hybrid Miss Kitty later when I get home from work!

I'm quite amazed Lily was able to hold Pearl in her hands unaided. Lily is my DZ Miss Kitty on a DC K-01 body with Soom Cheshire paws.

I've been debating buying her some jointed hands again in the new NYS because she's so yellowed at this point that her hands from this year look soooooo different it kind of bugs me. Oh well, I can always put her normal hands back on, but I like her with jointed hands. Oh the dilemma....

 

Ooooh she's lovely!! Those glasses suit her quite well, too! The paws are the finishing touch ♡ Tbh I wouldn't have noticed the hands if you didn't tell me, the jointed ones look so good on her (those long nails they got, rawr). But I'm not one to be bothered by resin match easily ^^'
And the tiny one looks so fragile but elegant. I don't think so (especially with that head), but can they stand on their own? It would be pretty amazing if they do

 

Thank you! She was a fun one to put together. I still have her original body too, but a different doll has claimed it (my DZ Chinese Dragon Girl).

Pearl, my Dale, can stand on her own, but it's tricky and wiring is a must for the legs or they curl. Just some pipe cleaners do the trick!


Here she is standing on her own. When she's in the doll set up she is in a teeny tiny doll stand after one too many head dives off of the dresser, haha!

Are there any owner pics of Pumpkin out yet? The company pictures leave me confused --- she looks like 2 different personalities to me

 

By the looks of the waiting room, I'd say it's a six month wait and it doesn't look as if she's shipped. But please, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

 

Hey guys, so I traded my Samantha for commissions, she went to Strungenvy here on DOA. After her faceup was done, I just lost interest in her character. I also recently bought a Choco head (old resin btw), lovely called Nazara (total Mass Effect fan here). My question to the group is: what bodies look good and proportional to this rather large yo head? I'm in love with the Choco head and I want another hybrid.
Edit: Also, would the old and new resins match well? I'm trying to stay under budget for her.

Aww, how cute! Valeriana got some pretty geodes (I should take some photos once the weather stops being so terrible and rainy), so it was a pretty good Christmas, albeit a hot one.

 

Yes, you should take pictures! I wanna see her Christmas geodes!

 

If the weather's good tomorrow I'll take her out for some photos. I've not taken any photos of her wit my new phone yet...the camera on it is better than my actual camera!

Ive been redoing my Nyu's look lately, and I had forgotten how hard it was to find stuff to fit her! Blythe tops and dresses fit well, but pants are a struggle. Does anyone else with this body have tips for dressing her?
Also, shoes made for Ten-Ping fit her perfectly!

 

I just received my first Dollzone, Pumpkin, a few days ago and I'm so in love with her. She is so cute, and I was able to buy enough to get Egg as an extra. Not the best picture but she has been so fun to pose and play with after work in the evenings

Wow! That is the first owner photo of Egg that I've seen. He's unbelievably cute, too! DZ did a great job on both of them! Congrats on their arrival.

Pumpkin is an adorable sculpt! Such a cutie! I can't see how you could go wrong ordering her.

I realised I never posted in this thread, which is a shame since there should always be more pictures of DZ tinies around!


Here's my Candice, semi-recently! Part of the reason I never posted her is because her body is actually the main body for another of my dolls (an OT hybrid), and she rarely gets reassembled.
Due to being a spare head (which didn't sell at the time, I'm kind of glad about it since I'm fond of her face), she doesn't have a name of her own, and also still no face-up since so far. Her eyes have been modded, so the shape is slightly different, and she was a new white skin, dyed with ipoly dye.

I do adore her grumpy pouty face. She's just never happy! Hopefully I'll figure out a direction for her eventually, so she becomes her own character rather than constantly wearing what the main doll wears. XD

@Quiet and Insane Thank you! I think so too! I'm sure a character/look will present itself eventually, especially with how full of personality her expression is.

 

@nattherat May I ask what your experience with this body is? I've loved the look of it since it first came out, and now that there is a boy version too, I'm afraid I may not resist much longer... Is it nice to handle?

 

Oh! It's easily my favourite 1/6 body I own! For reference/comparison, other 1/6 bodies I own are: Resinsoul 1/6 (double-jointed, boy and girl, plus deer body), Impldoll 1/6 body, Dollzone B27-001, Doll Chateau B-body-02. None of them hold a candle to the Dollzone B27-004, in my opinion. Candice (and the main head to use the body) is easily my favourite doll to handle.

Basically it isn't just the mobility joints in the thighs that makes it nicer (which is what seems like the biggest difference between the B27-004 and the B27-001/2 at first), it's everything. Every single joint is better shaped to hold a wider variety of poses. I don't need to wire her to have her take and hold a lot of very natural and casual poses that my B27-001 can't do at all. And better yet, there's no sacrifice to appearance for the mobility, it's a very statuesque look without compromising on the joints. As an example: It actually doesn't even need arm mobility joints, because the elbows are so well designed that you can have the doll twist naturally at the elbow in a way no other doll can (unless it has arm mobility joints).

This might seem a little over-dramatic haha, but it's just amazing. I wouldn't switch the bodies of my other 1/6 dolls out, since I chose the bodies based on their body types as characters, but there's never a time when I don't think about how I wish they could compete with the B27-004. To be honest, if I ever added new characters to my 1/6 crew, a B27-004 or B27-005 is the first body I have in mind. Every time Dollzone produces a doll on that body, I feel the pull (Pumpkin!).

She's even got my larger dolls beat, if I'm honest (my larger dolls being from Doll Chateau and Dollshe Craft). XD So uh, yep, I'd definitely recommend it! The engineering is pretty excellent, especially where 1/6 BJDs are concerned.

 

Your little Pumpkin is adorable! And it looks like you got the full set?? I just placed an order for a DZ Pumpkin myself- after having wanted one ever since she was released last year! Now I just have to sit back and wait those looong 4-5 months that it apparently takes to receive orders from Dollzone....oh I hate the waiting time

@Rabbit-moon She's Candice! She doesn't have her own name yet, so I just refer to her as the sculpt name for the moment. And thank you! I think she looks pretty great in pink, but I haven't decided on final colours for her, or really anything for her yet haha! Something green may be her eventual colour scheme!

 

Yes, she is a full set. The wait time was pretty awful but I'm so happy I got her. I actually just got two other DZ girls, just haven't had a moment to take pictures. I should get on that . Good luck with your wait!

 

Does anyone here have any suggestions for bodies that would work for a hybrid for one of these heads? :3c
I'm trying to plan ahead for my yoCarter, and I'm not terribly familiar with dolls smaller than MSDs.

 

I was hoping to eventually just get the DZ yosd body for my yo-Carter...since I figured that way the resin colour should match. Were you thinking of getting a body from another company for yours? :3

 

The resin match, in my personal experience, is no good BUT if you don't care for modding, Resinsoul yo-sd bodies have thin enough necks for the heads generally. I think Sugarable do too, but you'd have to find one second-hand.

I agree that a DC or DZ body would be the best idea! Assuming yo-carter is made to be the same height as Pumpkin/etc, any of the B27 bodies will work.

I was thinking about another company, yeah. I just wondered if anyone here had success with another company - I don't like DZ & DC's long wait times and I'd like backup plan if I can't find a suitable DZ body on the secondhand market. :P

@nattherat I'll look into the RS bodies, I've already had a bit of experience with their bigger bodies and I like em. I don't mind blushing the head to match the body if the color is too bad. :P

 

@PumpkinKings if you don't mind blushing, you're golden! Bear in mind thought that the standard resinsoul 1/6 are not like (some of) the big bodies. They don't have peanut joints, they have a cup system. If you're going single-jointed though, this isn't an issue!

 

I'm contemplating over getting another Choco head for for Dollpamm Shota body. Nazara wants her twin but I'm not sure about identical twins for them.
