Dollzone Baby BB 23cm - 29.5cm discussion part 3

Indeed! It's nice to see her with someone who'll play with her and not keep her in a box under the bed.

 

I kept my first two Doll in their boxes at first, then I thought why? I think I just was very careful with them. Dollzone ulli and Impldoll nacey. Know my minions have a small shelf for themselves so I can see them every day. Though I do have to leap to my window to close my curtains when the sun starts creeping towards them!

 

Most of my guys are big SDs that stand on the floor at the base of my bookshelf, and I have added an extra flap to my curtain to keep them out of the light. My smaller dolls, including my little DZ Moon are scattered about the room in various spots where the sun doesn't reach.

 

I have only been in my place for a year. Everything is all over the place still . I definitely need to rearrange when I can.

I ordered some sealant! Face ups are a go!

I have my dolls on a table under a window in my bedroom. Ironically that is the darkest place in my room besides the closet. I have a couple of SD sized chairs I sit them on. My SD girl on one, and all my yos on the other. Whenever a new doll comes home, it takes some rearranging.

 

Yay go on the face ups! I think I need new brushes before I do Charles when he gets here. I want one of those tiny brushes for my lashes and lip creases. So small you can hardly see it. My smallest is too big. When my big DZ body comes I don't know where everybody is going yet.

 

So, I have a question for those of you who have the 27cm body. For the 27-01 and 27-02 bodies, where do y'all find shoes?
I ordered a pair with my body for my bb mini Hal but I would like to have one more pair for the little buddy.

 

I have found that the Hujoo tennis shoes fit great. Also the Kish 12" doll shoes fit well too. The Kish are mostly girly shoes though. Finding boy shoe styles is more difficult. Until I tried the Hujoo tennis shoes, my boys didn't have shoes! Now I'm trying to find a pair of boots for another doll who's feet are the same size.

 

Just curious has anyone bought Anita or Eugenia from the special dolls? Or even just the ballet feet? I'm curious about them since it's the only time/place I've ever seen 1/6 ballet feet.

 

I would also like to see some of Eugenia. She could be a future purchase. I would get her with factory face up.

 

Still have not done my crew's face ups. The weather has been 'normal' with lots of rain this month. Last month we had 9 days over 80 degrees which was NOT normal, lol. I didn't have the sealant when I could've used it, isn't that the way it goes. Still lots of summer weather on the way though!

 

My home city is quite cool at the moment. I cant even begin to do face ups or drawing when it gets hot.

I've been neglecting poor Val a bit lately, mostly in favour of my big guys, but even though I've not been doing much with her in doll form, I have written up a character reference/back story for her so that's fun.

I'm just soooooo happy to finally have them complete! I started purchasing them in 2012. First with Mika (first on the far right -pink skin) and finished with Tenguyan (white one in the middle). The other two are Nyu (tan) and Hiro in yellow. The outfits are for Ken dolls, Momoko, Hujoo (tennis shoes), and from StarDesigns on etsy. Whatever fits!

I have a DZ Abby coming back from the faceup artist this week that I'm so excited about. There don't seem to be many owners of her. I'd love to see photos if anyone else has one.

Me too! LOL I'll post photos when she gets here. I have her all outfitted and ready to go...well except for a wig that I still have to make, but I'm sure I have something here for her in the meantime.

 

I've had this little Natasha around for a few years- naked, no eyes or face-up. Finally gave her a face-up yesterday. I love this pouty little face. But not crazy about the wig- I think it's too heavy for her delicate features.

 

She is adorable. I find that wigs are often not scaled for tinies - they fit their heads but are too heavy and/or too long.

Yes, I find yosd wigs a trial, and mostly error situation. Also a lack of boy styles.

 

I finished my Abby! Faceup is by Kona135Designs on etsy. I'm so in love with her! I think I might go with the name Lizzy.

 

She is fabulous! The name fits her well. How does she pose?

 

Thank you! She is on the curvy, taller YoSD body and I just love it. Poses similar to the MSD bodies. I still need to sued her legs however, as they keep wanting to bend at the knees. Nothing a little hot glue in the joints won't fix!

I saw earlier in this thread that @IzabethS had mentioned putting a Dollzone Dragon head on a Miss Kitty body. What a fantastic idea! I'd love for my little dragon girl to have a "human form" and a "dragon form." ^_^ Does anyone know what other bodies the Dollzone Dragon head might work with?

Here's a photo of my girl. I've never been able to "bond" with her, but maybe a new wig, new eyes, and a more humanoid body would suit her?

 

Your girl is very cute! I had a hard time bonding with mine until she was put on the bigger body!

@IzabethS : The dragon claws for hands are great! Combined with the horns, she gives off a really dragon-y vibe even with the human body. ^_^

I think I might try the 16cm Dollzone girl body for my dragon. From measurments I've seen online, the neck size is the same size as the Miss Kitty body, so I think it should work!

My Bertha is home!!!! I gasped when i saw her face, she is even more fantastic then i imagined.
She is wearing Samantha's outfit as i preferred it. Maybe her blue one would go better with her FMD wig.

Ha ha! She definitely doesn't care. Try telling her! She will be a colourful character. At the moment she is wearing a FMD pink wig, she's changed again.

Thank you! I really love her. She's so pouty. I need to get her some no pupil eyes, homemade wig, custom outfit/accessories, shoes that actually fit (or I get her new bigger feet), restringing, and new faceup. Truffle is gotta be adorable when I'm done with her.

@Quiet and Insane: do you know what other companies yosd hands and feet would look good on the DZ BB body? I'm having the hardest time finding shoes I like for Truffle so maybe new feet would help open her choices up.

 

@Gothic-Diurnal-Hime - The only DZ I have in this size is my little Moon dragon so I have no idea what would work well as a hybrid on the human body. Sorry about that!

Here's a new pix of my DZ Judy. She from 2007, on the original chunky BB body. I kinda love this old body; it's like a puppy with big paws that it will someday grow into.

My BB Judy is all excited about Halloween. It's the favorite holiday in this house, and she can't wait to start decorating!

 

I've never seen her before! Really cute.

Thank you Angelfey! Yes, my little Judy is ancient! DZ BB Judy, and her brother sculpt, July, were never very popular sculpts. But, I adored those early sculpts. They had such sweet faces.

Little Judy has gotten me all excited for Halloween. Maybe I'll get my BB-Crew all decked out for Halloween and take some photos, too.
