Dolly Off Day

Aug 31, 2012

    1. Alright for those of you who abolutely LOVE taking pictures of your dolls I'm sure you can relate to this topic. Let's say you have a photostory or photoshoot you planned out for literally days. You're totally excited about it and can't wait to get started...only guess what? You're doll isn't exacty in the mood to be photographed.:| I mean if they could talk you'd know for a fact they don't want to cooperate in the slightest. They do everything they can to hop out of the perfectly placed pose you worked so hard to get them in.*_* The little darlings hold it for approximately thirty second before falling over or letting their legs and arms just pop out of place.:sweat I guess you could say they're having a dolly off day. Just flat out saying forget it I'm not posing for you I'm so not in the mood. You guys ever had that happen before? How irritated did it make you feel?
      I swear I promised my resin kids everything under the sun just so they'd let me take some pics but NO GO! :...(What are your opinions on this issue? Any interesting stories? Personally, I'm considering taking a picture holiday just so the kids don't give me dirty looks anymore . What are some of your horror stories on the uncooperative dolly? XD

    2. xD my Doll Leaves W, Nowe, is quite often very uncooperative. He's a shy one in general, and becomes even more awkward in front of a camera so he'll most often refuse to pose for me in any sense (even though he pulls the same poses off just fine when I'm just playing with him...) :|

    3. I sometimes have those days. And when I can't handle one doll I can't handle all of them. ^^;
      Sometimes, even if I'm satisfied with their posing, the photos still look horrible, because of wrong posing I couldn't see before or because of the angle. ^^;

    4. The classic art block :P

      I usually have extended periods of this.
      I'll have one good shooting month, but then for months after that I don't like anything that I do, or just simply can't tap into any sort of interesting concept. (8D which is exactly the hole I'm stuck in right now!)

    5. I spent all weekend makeing an outfit for my doll and she looked so cute in it and when I took a picture she looked horrible!! Trying to get the right angle so her head don't look too big for her body and her eyes don't disolve into her head. What a bummer...:sigh

    6. I do have bad times like that but it's not the doll. It's normally the lighting, if I can't get the right lighting I just don't feel it, then everything seems like it's going wrong. :/

    7. I have had this!
      They will be all snappy or collapsey- especially if they don't like what I want them to hold
      or the clothes.

    8. In oneway, I feel the dolls are more alive then. I love when Alberta kicks!
      And I feel it is something I do wrong too the daysit dosent go as good as I want. Maybe Iam to fast in my movement or my hands itsclumsy causeit is cold winter weather, so we dont corporate right.I dont think it is only the doll. We are a team. And if it dosent work, I am the grown up one that should relax, keep calm and help us trhugh it.
