2. She's so lovely Calphedoll.

3. Oh she really is gorgeous :D

4. Very pretty - What a lovely style

5. Oh well done Mods in shifting the last part of the old thread to a new thread! Thank you very much!!!

I will post a photo in celebration of the new thread!

6. Stephanie looks lovely Jane, really like her face-up, my elf body arrived yesterday so only took 4 days from leaving Dollstown. Now just waiting for the head to be finished and I can get her all together.

7. Thank you everyone.

Jane your Stephanie is gorgeous.

8. Thank you both! Steph's face-up is by Zoe from 'Pearls of the Danube' :)

9. I'm thinking I might want to upgrade my paletan elf girl to the new style body (I like the new joints in the elbows and knees, though I know some others bemoaned the loss of the old joint style). Does anyone know how the Dollshe/Dollstown paletan resin ages? I worry that the SophB head I have will not match a new body, and it's not like I can get an entirely new doll, since the head has been discontinued.

10. I am sorry I have no idea how the paletan ages Kiyakotari as I only have the one paletan doll............but I would guess it does change colour with age.

Could you live with an age change mismatch?
It seems a hefty gamble to take if you want an exact match.

11. I haven't noticed much change in my pale tan girls. I think it is pretty stable.

12. What a sweet sassy girl Jane. So pretty.
Gotta get some new pics of my Elf Seola and Mini Elysia soon.

13. I bought my paletan Seola in 2009 and she has yellowed a little, it is not too obvious, I can just see changes in colour in the parts of her body that have been exposed to the light as opposed to that which is always covered by clothes. I suppose it also depends on how you store/display your dolls as mine are always out so I can look at them.

14. She's changed a lot i, the time you've had her, Jane. It's like a process of evolution. I hope she's moved closer to the girl you need her to be.

Teddy

15. Thank you Theresa and Teddy and you are right Teddy she has changed so much since I first got her! I loved how I had her styled at the start (really loved it)
But the problem was she didn't work for some reason with any other doll except Penelope so that is why I have altered what I loved.
Styled like this she works with Hesta (DT Arin on the Elfbody) as well as all the other DT7 girls.
It is just taking me a long time to get used to the changes as I still miss the old Stephanie while liking the new one at the same time!

Ooooh yes please! :dance

And Martha and Avril would you say there are less changes in the darker resin than the paler ones? I didn't think to look inside the doll to check on change until Avril mention it *duh me* and I too have found some but not much change.
Less change than the MSC makes to the difference between head and body colour.........unless you do as I do and spray the body with MSC too to get a more even body match ;)
So that is good!

I have found with the paler resin DT dolls I have, almost all have had significant (but not unpleasant) colour changes over the years, I wonder if the darker resin is just a little more stable?

16. I haven't owned any of the paler resins long enough to see a change but Seola is the one I have had longest and I must admit I had never really noticed until I was changing her clothes one day. It doesn't really bother me as I have no intention of selling her but I know some would look upon it as detracting from the dolls value and making it less attractive.

17. Having an older, paletan DT 7Y, it's hard to notice any yellowing or change because I have no other to compare it to. I do notice though, that in photos, it's hard to get her not to have an orange undertone.
My 7Y Seola is my oldest DT in oriental skin, and she has definitely changed over the years, but I would call it more 'mellow' than yellow. She definitely does have a more creamy, buttery color than the others.

18. Same here!

But I have sort of got used to the fact that she photographs much lighter than she is in real life now.
This is Hesta (my Arin on the DT elfbody)

And all my DT orientalskin dolls have mellowed quite a lot, but I never notice until I get a newer doll home!

19. Okay, I think that settles it. A new body for her is going on the list. I can live with a slight mismatch if needed. Thanks for your help everyone!

20. Great! I am glad you have that plan sorted then! Can we see a photo of her on the old body while you wait for her new one please?

Thank you :)

21. To welcome the new thread, here is my Mini Elysia on the old elf body in oriental skin.

22. Jane, did you get a comparison photo of Hesta's Pale Tan with January's Caramel Brown? I completely forgot to take a picture at the time. I suspect you didn't because I don't think you had your camera on you at the time.

Oh well, another time.

Such lovely styling - Are those tights green and brown stripes? I must look out for some for my SD sized twins.

Teddy

23. Thanks Teddy. Emilia's stockings are two shades of green, the darker one being olive green, picked up at a doll convention a couple of years ago.

24. Nice colour combination.

Teddy

25. It was the time that I didn't have my camera....*sigh*.....as you say, we will have to remember next time.

And what a great photo Theresa! I love to see your Emilia and I love her dress sense! :D
I like the shoes she is wearing too!

26. Thanks Jane! That dress is her favorite.

27. Thought I would share Lavender here. She is a Jun head from the DT Elf size but on a Lumedoll SD body (about 58cm tall).

note: I did mod the eyes a tiny bit more open on the inside corners and extensive blushing and neck hole modding went in to making this hybrid work. Not for the faint of heart! :D

28. Oh, well done!

She looks great.

Teddy

29. Lavender turned out quite lovely Virginia. Nice that she fits on another body for you.

30. My DIM Anneliese head arrived home today and I quickly tried her on the Elf body, the proportions look really good I think. I am working tomorrow but will try and get some photos done on Sunday so I can show them here and in the DIM thread.

31. I am so looking forward to seeing this hybrid April :)

32. Quick photo of DIM Anneliese on the Elf body, taken after work while waiting for my tea to cook. Resin match seems pretty good but I have no footwear that fits those feet, have gone through all my SD and MSD and they are either too large or too small. Will try and get some better photos of her with some clothes on later.

33. Ooooooh! She looks so good on this body.....you must be thrilled Avril :)

34. Well, it looks like the proportions work well.

Good luck getting some clothing together for her.

Teddy

35. That is a beautiful doll you have. MY dolls are Elfdolls but much larger. Just wanted to compliment you.
ameiru

36. I'm waiting on a faceup for her, but as soon as she is done and back from the artist, I will be sharing lots of photos!

37. She is great Avril. Seems like a good match. You must be so pleased

38. [IMG][/IMG]

39. Elena kim is this a Seola7 on the Elfbody? She is just so pretty and I love how you have dressed her :D

40. Very cute elena kim. I love your Seola!

I'll bet that is the elf body Jane. Look at those collarbones!.

41. Jane

Thank you very much!Yes, Seola on a body of the elf.
[IMG][/IMG]

42. Ooooooh I like her with this wig too!

43. Jane
Thank you!
I am very grateful to you:aheartbea

44. Photo of DIM Anneliese on the elf body, clothing is some I made for the KW Layla I briefly owned but it fits her perfectly, also realised I had a pair of rRabit boots I bought for my DM Alexia who is MSD size but with large feet and they fit perfectly. I have ordered a pair of shoes from rRabit that look to measure the same so I will see how they fit.

45. I really do like her so much Avril :D
And lucky you finding all this to fit the Elfbody so well! In fact I think this knitted top fits her better than it did on the KW doll!

And please what size rRabit boots did you order here.....I definitely need to get a pair for one of my Elfbody girls!

46. Hi Jane, I have just looked at my rRabit order history and they were the RHL003 1/4 MSD boot in dusty grey, I have now ordered the LG001 MSD size shoe as they look about the same measurement.

47. Thank you so much Avril.....I have bookmarked that for next pay day! I am really looking forward to seeing the shoes on your girl now!

48. Well the shoes arrived today and I did manage to get them on after a struggle (not helped by trying to put the left shoe on the right foot). They are much tighter than the boots and it is impossible to wear socks with them so nice but not a total success.

49. Thank you so much for the boot and shoe info. I have been swapping some of my girls between the elf body and 7 year body just because I could not find shoes for the elf body. I ordered a pair from Dollmore but they apparently are very back ordered. Your information was VERY helpful!

50. Thank you so much for the review Avril .....I really appreciate it. It is really tough finding shoes to feet these Elfbody feet!

51. Those shoes look good on the feet Avril, even though they were a pain to get on.

52. My Peggy (RML head on the DT Elf body) came in to work with me the other day to be on hand for measurements and fittings for the dress I was working on during my lunchbreak:[IMG]

The 1920's style dress is from a set of instructions for the "One-hour Frock". I've already made on for her big sister Nancy (Ninodoll Juri head on the DT13 body) but Peggy's needs more adjusting of the pattern as the Elf body is so skinny that the dress is too narrow in the hips and body to slip on over her head and shoulders as Nancy's does, so I need to alter it so that it opens up the back... when I have the time and mental-energy to concentrate on it. Such a simple adjustment but it;s put me off picking up the project again.

53. She looks so happy to be there!

54. She probably was - out of the house and on an adventure, of sorts.

Teddy

55. It sounds a really BIG adjustment to me! LOL! But I know you will be able to do it with no problems once you decide to go for it!
And how lovely to see Peggy again......enjoy your adventure (or sorts) Peggy!

56. I would like to share my Elf gals - Soyu twins - Wren and Fawn. I absolutely adore these gals and have had
such fun making (and buying too many) things for them! Wren is the redhead, Fawn is the blond. Fawn was
my first and I was so happy with her that I 'had' to have another. They arrived last spring. I am still having
fun making things for them!!
Thanks for letting me share,
Robyn :)

57. How elegant they look in their summer finery

Teddy

58. Hi Robyn! Those two girls are beautiful! Your dress creations for them are lovely. And great hats too.

I also have two elf body girls. Seola head and Mini Elysia. That body is by far one of the most beautiful.

59. Thanks Teddy and theresa! I have so much fun playing with these gals - they just pose and handle so prefectly!
My little Wren is off tomorrow for new facepainting. Can't wait to see her new look.

theresa - those cute hats were from an ebay seller, would you like me to send you her link? She does lovely work.
