[Adopted] Dollstown 17 and 18 year boys and girls

-didn't realize they did layaway- Ooh, I might have to think about the 18 yr old girl I love realistic sculpts, but on one of the pictures the breasts seem awkward with a rather unnaturally high nipple. Still, the details are amazing. I can't wait until they release more photos.

 

A Dollstown body without cankles! They're both beautiful but I don't think I want a body that large. Definitely will have to think about this.

 

O.O if I dared get a doll that big it would be on that body- no doubt whatsoever. I LOVE the dollstown bodies in general- these are positively GORGEOUS.

 

Has to be my favorite boy body in the hobby! Oh, but I would have to find a head to match!

 

I've been waiting to see more pictures!

The width of the boy shoulders is nice. I find the shoulder blades strange looking, but it's not like I would be looking at that constantly! I look forward to seeing other heads on this body.

 

This body is what I have been dreaming of for a long time... Just gorgeous.

So psyched! I need a body for one of my Volks floating heads, and I think the 18 Yr old male bod will be just the thing. ^_^

 

...I think I might have just gone pre-broke. lol I've liked the DT bodies for a while, and a taller girl is just the sort of horrible reasoning I need to get one!

Second to this. New Dollstown 18 year bodies looks just perfect to me.

 

I like a new body: beautiful and realistic. Well feet are a bit longer... I plan the tall girl in the future and this variant is very good.

 

I'm definitely saving up for the 18 year old Hue. Finally! Been waiting for like ages! 3

 

THIS is the body I need for my Saint. NEED. Le Happy sigh. I've never fallen in love with a body so hard.

 

There are a bunch of Dollshes I still want. . . I bet I could put a Bernard head on the 18yr boy body. I am certainly enthused.

 

I really like the feet on this new body, and the joints seem very well made.

 

Now I realize I will probably need the girl body too. I would like to see more of that one first though.

Both bodies are lovely...I like that the boy body is defined but not crazy-ripped. It seems like the bigger boy bodies have been trending more and more towards muscle man lately, so it's very good to see one that isn't so...eight packed out. *heh*

The ankles and feet are just amazing on the girl

I'm a bit intimidated by the 68cm height though...especially since I just got a DT15 and she seems tall at "just" 62cm...

I've got a new head coming in March, I wonder if I can wrap my head around this new size for her (not to mention I wonder if the scale would work)...

 

All I've got to say is...Oh dear, not again. I am so crazy in love with Dt's and these bodies are so pretty it is a shame to dress them LOL!!!

 

so the 72cm size is including the head, right? or the body by itself? I am awfully tempted by the 18 boy body for the Leeke Alex head I've been trying to find a body for (the Alex head was a bit of an impulse buy, to make an 11th Doctor doll, now I think he'd work well as Sherlock too XD). Bit bigger than I wanted but than I was wanting, but still, the over all aesthetic is just right, not too muscled or too emaciated looking.

Those Leeke guy heads are big, so I need at least a 15cm shoulder width, but I was hoping not to end up with a super tall boy to clothe. Dollstown bodies are always so beautiful though, while not being too realistic. I'm looking forward to seeing more detailed measurements, and a resin casting. For some reason I have a harder time deciding about these things while looking at the grey clay versions.

 

According to the Q&A, the boy will be 72cm and the girl will be 68cm in height. I'm saving up right now to get Hue. But right now, I'm torn between getting the 15yr old body or the 18yr old body. I'll probably end up buying both because I absolutely love the sculpt! April/May can't come any sooner. ;;

If Leeke is a good match for the Dollstown bodies, I would love to get Rihael + DT body. xD

 

I'm just curious what heads everyone is planning to use on the DT18 bodies (boy and girl).

Anyone want to share?

 

Gothiclibrarian, at first, I thought I might put a Dollshe on it. However, I now need a body for the Spiritdoll Abies head I just ordered, and I hope the Dollstown 18y boy body will work.

. . . the Dollstown site always confuses me. Is there word on how much the bodies will cost?

 

Anyone here know if DT normal resin matches to Iple House normal? While I don't usually think of my teens that tall, I do like the sculpt.

 

gothiclibrarian, I'm not sure what I'd like to do with the projected body. lol Likely a hybrid of some sort as I love hybrids. Perhaps a female SoulDoll head (I rather like Agnetha even though there seem to be no owner pictures really), but who knows, there may well be some other sculpt that comes along that just HAS to have that body.

 

Well, the 13 girl body is $435 and the 15 girl body is $475, so maybe about $515 or so if there's a similar cost difference between the 15 and 18?

I'm still undecided on head, but I am not sure I can pass on the 1st order period for the lovely body...oh what a horrible problem to have, lol!

 

I also favor Dollstown dolls. The hollowed thigh on the 18 body pretty much assures one of a doll who poses similarly to the DT elf doll. My concern on the 18 girl is... does it mean 'yet another' size doll clothing????
Actually, I'm waiting for that skinny 14 year old girl body that was mentioned a looonnnng time ago.

 

Sounds like Torre is actually going to be sculpting the 14yr bodies, so who knows what they'll be like. Exciting though!
Maybe the new concept for the 15yr bodies will be skinny? AnJongHak said specifically that he was not going to do glamorous and muscular with that age group since the 18yrs will be taking over that role. Or maybe the 17yrs will be the skinny ones....

 

I don't think so. I've got older Dollstown and NS Iplehouse. The Iplehouse is a more peachy/pink normal and the Dollstown is yellow normal. It's closer to Volks although the one I have is different.

I've got two Dollstown heads here that need bodies, but when I put one on my Spiritdoll body while the head was away getting a face-up, I didn't like the look. The Dollstown 18 bodies look great with the heads though. I'm kinda torn. 70cm would go better with my gang, but then it appears they're going to discount the 15 bodies in March before discontinuing them if I read the notice correctly. Hard decision to make.

 

I'm thinking I'll probably get one of the girl bodies and put my floating Mui head on it, since it's meant to be a female character.

 

I'm considering making Mui a girl for my 18yr body although, Amy is my first choice right now. Maybe we will see some new heads this year also. Still sad that I didn't get a chance to buy Rhea before she was discontinued.

 

I was also wondering if the DT 18yr boy body would work on a Spirit doll Abies head???

 

I doubt it will be very soon before any of us has the answers to these hybrid questions. The production delay of the Dollshe Pure bodies is slowing down Dollstown. Even the next order for the 13 girl and 7 girl bodies is going to be limited to 20 because of the casting slowdown.

I did notice that the top of the 18yr boy neck is reduced to fit the current 15yr boy heads. Since An Jong Hak specifically mentioned that he'd be making 18yr heads, I don't know if that's a temporary solution to fit interim heads or (more likely) a way to have a more muscular neck without having to enlarge the socket in the base of the head.

All I know is I am going to be jumping on the first pre-order so fast! I don't want another nine month wait on a body for a head I already have.

 

I don't anything about this company yet, but the girls body...I love! Can't wait to see more.

 

That male body is brilliant. Alot of the muscled bodies coming out now seem to be bulging every single muscle at all times with the way they are sculpted, a look I do not like. The transition between muscle and softer flesh is so smoothly sculpted to...! Oh, I could go on and on, but shan't; suffice to save, my savings funds will do the talking for me regarding this body.

 

I'm really liking both 18-year bodies, not entirely sure about the height in relation to my crew. And later on is better for my wallet!!

 

I need a body for my Spiritdoll Abies head....I will most probably be paying for one on Layaway when Dollstown release that gorgeous new 18yrs boy body!

 

I´m following the plans of the release of the 18-year girls body from Dollstown since beginning of the year! And lately I asked on Dollstwon board if there´s anything new about the production! NOTHING! They don´t know anything ... no date for the release! I think, soon I´m going crazy! I WANT THIS BODY!!!!!

 

Well, you should probably settle in for a long wait. I think it was about two years from when we first saw the 15 girl body until I actually got one.

 

Well, I have been waiting on my Saint for over 7 months now and they took orders again after when I placed my order. Guess that will delay these bodies for quite some time. Perhaps I can even save up the money for it. I have never purchased from DT so I'm going to ask--how much should I expect to spend on this body?

 

I'd expect them to be in the $800+ range for a full doll. Our Mui cost $800 including shipping back in 2006. These bodies will use more resin, so even if the Dollshe casting costs less I don't think that will reduce the price by much.

 

If that's the case this time, I've plenty of time to save.

 

Dollstown also offer layaway if you need it.

That's all we know so far. But that's more of an answer than I got a few months ago.

 

Those are two splendid bodies! I'm gonna have 3 floating heads that'll need 70cm range body and I'm thinking of getting at least the boy... Now to think which head will match...

I'm glad Dollstown is giving us time though!

 

I am waiting patiently too ... and another few months for gathering fundings will be most welcome my first body will be for my SoomAnubis head and will be treatingmyself to the darkest tan Dollstown do ... the 15 year old body looks too petite with the head Anubis

I can then use this body to trial out (size-wise) various floating MiniMe heads I have floating around before buying another ... still a little sad that the female 18 year body looks rather emaciated in my eyes, but really pleased out the male version turned out

I've still got my MsDoll Ganymede to put on the boy body. Would love an excuse to get the girl too, but much like the new Idealian girl, I can't figure out a way to work her into the crew.

Absolutely def getting a 18boy tan body, but really really (pending funds, so perhaps unlikely) tempted getting a freshskin body for my floating MNM heads - my freshskin 15boy is excellent for the smaller NS NMN heads ... does anyone know if the freshskin is still the older freshskin (ex pink-white colour)? as the freshskin bodies I bought back in 2007/8 are the perfect MNM match... not sure with the Dollshe factory colours now ...

oh, and cannot see the measurements for the 18boy body ... were they once up (or was I imaging this??)

 

Excited for this! I hope we won't have to wait too long for the bodies post order. >.< I know the wait times can get pretty long.

 

It's really happening! And the price is good! I think I can scrape together $585 by then, as long as neither of our rickety old computers dies in the meantime. >_<

 

My internet has been on and off all weekend, so I had to go to my daughter's house to use hers,Lol
Anyway, I don't think I'll be buying either of these gorgeous bodies in the near future, but it will be interesting to see them in people's box opening threads, and to see what they do with them, i.e. hybrid or whatever.
