so many handsome men. but, I have totally fallen for Lewis. what a face! I can't deal with the weight of those big guys, so it's unrequited love for me.
meanwhile, will everyone post their fave copper oriental or Honey Peach Dollshe dolls, please? I can imagine ordering Lewis & maybe get over my obsession.

my only hope is Mr Kim makes a small fashion size head of L someday. (if I plead enough) but it's not quite the same thing.

I really love Lewis. Damn. I could consider one if my stuff on the marketplace would sell (unlikely). Otherwise i'll have to watch from afar.

Why I mr.Kim renewing the 28M body already - it hasn't been out that long? I wonder how he will change it. I think that man has itchy feet

 

The moment Lewis is available to buy as a head, I need one! That's definitely one of the most gorgeous faces I've seen on any BJD. Guess I need to research what bodies a 28M head will fit on...

 

A friend asked for this comparison, looking to see if Lewis might look good on a slim body, so posting the quick and awful photos here. A 28M head on a Hound body. Erm, perhaps not.

These big guys are just too much for me. I'm guessing he's the same weight as the EID boys, and they are very heavy. (I actually went to the site to see what I did order in resin color for my GooHwa and it was the Honey Caramel Brown, but it seems they sent me the shade darker.....but it's all good.) Can you imagine this guy in Honey peach fresh or the Mango oriental? I think I'm both saddened and relieved that it doesn't look like Lewis is being offered as just a head. Another big boy, I just cannot do but if he's offered in their fashion line or as a head, he'll be coming home for sure. I'm hoping to see a few people picking up this guy.

 

according to Dollshe's site where they show height, etc. he weighs just under 6lbs. too much for my car-accident back. the vertebrae just tumble like dominoes if I mess with anything over 3-4lbs. but he's on SALE!

 

Depressing isn't it. He is a gorgeous hunk but I'm already happy with my brood of 6 Dollshe's.

 

Wow, Lewis is pretty. But I don't really have a character who looks like him.

Hmm... I assumed Lewis would be offered as just a head eventually. Do you think there's a chance he won't? Maybe I should see if I can do a split with someone who wants a 28M body while the sale is going on...

I must say I have fallen really hard for Lewis too but I don't think I can handle such big chunk of resin ( Yes, I don't lift xD)
I would prefer his head on a leaner body (just another reason for myself to not press the purchase button ; _; )

Dear lord, he's beautiful! But not on the 28M body. He looks like he'd suit a slimmer, more streamlined body.
Now, you asked for copper oriental? I've probably shared this one before but I adore it.

Wow! Lewis is very handsome. I love the 28M body. It's pure sculpted perfection, but it's too muscular for my tastes…

Like like slender, tall and lanky guys. I think Lewis (although his head will not fit), would suit a build closer to the 5th Motif Timeless body. His face shape is angular, so the slightly thinner body would be perfect for him. Just my opinion…..

I do hope in the future though, that the discontinued slim bodies of both 5th motif and all the other slimmer past bodies from Dollshe will be replaced with at least 1 slimmer build in the 28M range.

 

I wonder how many messages it would take to get him to release Lewis as a head?

Out of curiosity, has anyone put a 28M head on an Idealian body? I'd love to get Lewis as an alternate head for my Hyperon

I agree that Rey Lewis (suddenly his name is different) would look better on a slimmer body like Fifth Motif.

[MENTION=68206]Therealwalter[/MENTION]: yes, me, me....want peach & oriental & well, anything to keep me from pushing the order button for Lewis. the Peach is so beautiful & I love the "darker" Caramel. maybe because the Honeys are cast one at a time, they vary more than the Pures done in batches. ? or maybe my Jishin is an anomaly. he was the first or one of the first of the Caramels. like the first pancake. not quite cooked.

 

Oh me, oh my. Lewis is absolutely dreamy. I've send Dollshe a message asking if they will be offering the head separate, but if not, I may have to take the plunge and get the full doll. Body's a bit too big for the character I'm thinking of so hybridizing will be a necessity, but I can always sell the body later for something a bit smaller. I wonder how he would look on Ringdoll's RGM-3 with a shorter pair of legs...

 

Well, I too hope they sell the Lewis head separately as I really do not need anymore male bodies. But I tried to get another Amanda head and was told it would not be sold separately. Maybe he is taking lessons from Iplehouse but I hope not. I never think of Iplehouse as a customer friendly company and I have always thought of Dollshe as being very customer friendly. I am anxious to hear what they tell you Verse.I would love the Lewis head.

 

I would be very surprised if Lewis weren't sold as a head. The other 28Ms are, so no reason why this one should be different.

Talking of the other 28Ms, I redid my Kuncci's faceup. I am the only one who can see a difference, but this one is less insipid than his first. So, all is good.

Therealwalter, great shot of your beautiful guys. Honey Peach Fresh is a yummy color, to say the least. Now, your Ahmad is the more the color of my GooHwa, in the Honey Caramel Brown (which I love). I wish we could get your Caramel Brown Ahmad, petiteballerine's Caramel Brown guy, and mine together just to see the variation in color. Again, not that it matters at all the tones are gorgeous....just out of curiosity.

MadamMauMauGreat job on your Kuncci's faceup. I love his coloration and he reminds me of a Welsh Lord.

Added: Quite and Insane, I really love the slim bodies of the dear Saint and Bernard guys. I had to tell you that the photo of your guy is wonderful. I could look at the Saints all day long.

 

BlitheFool - My favourite blue mutant graces us with his presence once again. I wish there were more interestingly coloured DollShe's hanging around...

Therealwalter - Bjorn and Ahmad are gorgeous. I love Ahmad's outfit, the embroidery looks pretty.

petitballerine - All credit for his face up goes to Fiarene. She did a fantastic job. Rey Lewis...I did think it was strange when he only had one name, all the 28M guys have two, but this makes more sense now!

MadamMauMau - He's gorgeous! I spent my day making the most of the good weather prepping my David for blushing and face up(s). Got his hands (all six of them) and his feet done, and now I'm just waiting on his various glue scars to dry (while praying it doesn't rain tomorrow so I can continue working on him).

oriscany - Thank you! Skinny, lanky guys are just so much fun. I'm a bit the same, I just adore Saints. One of the other locals has one and it was thanks to her and her photos that I fell in love with DollShe and Saints in particular.

 

I have a friend who is not on DoA that is really interested in getting a Grant Phillipe fashion size boy. But I couldn't answer a couple of her questions fully. I was wondering any of you would know. I understand the sculpt is technically not finished, but can you order him now? Has anyone ordered yet? If they have, how long have they been waiting? If she does order him within the next 2 months, how long a wait do you think she'll have. This would be her first doll (start with the good ones). Appreciate any help or extra help. Thanks.

 

Good news, everyone! Looks like we'll be getting his head sold separately too

 

Anyone have a Mango Oriental doll they can share here? I'm thinking about getting Lewis in that color, but haven't seen many owner pics at all of that color so a bit unsure.

 

I was thinking about doing a layaway with Dollshe to get David, but the cart was not adding up for a total price......just the shipping price was there only. So no David for me.

 

You can still go ahead and buy him if you want. I had the same issue when ordering Lewis. I just paid the shipping and messaged Dollshe about the problem. Their response:

"Sorry for the inconvenience.

Unknown error has occurred on our website payment system, which resulted in showing the price of your doll as ‘0’.
We noticed this kind of problem has been ocurring for some customers.
All other orders are working just fine. We believe there is a conflict with paypal’s interlocking system.
We are currently looking into this issue to find the resolution quickly.

It does not appear to be a serious issue so there is no need to worry. Your order will be processed successfully."

They also let me know how much I still owed, so I sent a payment with paypal. Easy Peasy!

 

that happens sometimes. just pay for the total as is - which will create an order #, then email Dollshe with your layaway information + order #, then pay your 1st installment. (send email again)
you'll have to keep track yourself & email them with each payment. make sure to add your order # & layway info on each paypal payment too.

you will get a reply to each email verifying your payment.

 

I have such mixed feelings about Lewis! I absolutely love him, and the price is great right now, but I am still so conflicted. Argh!! I love these guys so much! I love seeing each and everyone of your dolls!

Well, Lewis is on sale. I like the head but the body looks too old for him.

 

Lewis is going to look amazing with a good face-up. I am looking forward to seeing him in one of the light tan colours. I like his eyebrows and cheekbones. And I like him on this body too, though he would also look good on a more slender body. Maybe one muscled like a runner?

 

Yes, at least a body with leaner legs and a slimmer midriff... okay, a new body 10 years younger. That body just looks too heavy for me for a head which doesn't sag.
Didn't the sculptor mention a new body somewhere? One to replace the body of the leaner guys, i.e. Saint, Leonard etc...
