Thank you all for your kind words, and I can only agree with the praise of Aramis - he is drop dead beautiful. I've been busy since he got here so I haven't had time to snap any more pics of him, but here's another one from the box opening. I'll make sure to make a box opening thread

 

Very true! That sounds exhausting though. Hopefully your voice remained intact (though it sounds like your sanity may have taken a hit).

BAHA! thanks Liz! that's encouraging :P ...tis true though! Voice = oka, Sanity = not so much anymore. i'm actually just getting ready for another pleasent seminar -____________-
i'm pretty proud of myself for not buying a doll during the seminar (since thats sort of been a problem when i'm stressed, i'll suddenly buy a doll). i was probably safe because i have a few things on the way to look forward to anyway so...yay!
I can't wait to try out the braids! i love these brushed yarn wigs. they're a little harder to make and take me about 3 hours but they're soooooo soft and fun to style.i'd say as soft as mohair is not softer.

@MaryamDN - Be strong! You can get through this! Think happy thoughts (or do what I do and write stories). I've been debating whether to try making a brushed yarn wig for one of my floating heads...so many cool things to try, not enough time.
Arrow is seriously too gorgeous. Perhaps you may have to venture outdoors to capture the right photo? I know Ragnar always looks best in natural light. But that might be just because of his funky resin.

 

Question do the Venitu hands fit Dollshe wrists?

yes....it's summer down under isn't it? -_____- it's a frozen hell here....it's like winter just decided to start NOW instead of 2 months ago! gah...our poor trees are going to die X_X they had started sprouting already!
i have no claims to sanity...i'm okay with that...but everything to a degree. brushed yarn is loads of fun! totally worth a try...go with 100% acrylic and dont be intimidated by how much will end up in the trash bin. just part of the process.

@MadamMauMau the eyes i ordered arrived! and he/ she (?) sent a pair of 4 mm in there as well....they are remarkably small and look closer to 3.5 than 4 mm to me. i will send you the a pic on Flickr...in a bit....unfortunately <.< they aren't a color i would use (pink cat eyes)....nice of him to send though <.< good reference.

Steamwitch, love the photograph. He looks so relaxed and WARM. With the drop in temp we are having her - just want to curl up with a warm blanket and good book myself.

We have been moving (for over 2 months now - renovating one house and getting the other ready for sale) and I honestly got a box from Dollshe a good month ago and I have not opened it yet. I think I have a Aramis head in there. I really must open that box!

@MaryamDN - Yep, it's summer down here (and it's glorious!) I'd love to take Ragnar out to the snow for photos one day... Pity about the trees though.
I did have a bit of a play around with the wool I already have and wow, you do lose a lot of fiber. On the upside, this guy was only going to have short hair anyway (see the head in the above photo )

 

Woot, they look great @Quiet and Insane, thanks for the photo and the answer to my burning question, I love those expressive hands but I'm afraid I'll break them but I do know how to glue fingers back on. One day.

What is the average eye size of Aramis? I googled, looked on the wiki, Dollshe's website... I'm getting a little frustrated haha

 

Oh! Good : ) My Bernard has 14mm eyes with smaller irises that I really enjoy. They aren't gappy, and I feel like the iris is a good size. The only problem is that these are my only pair haha. They came from a shop on Taobao, but I think they are the same as the "Beetles eyes" that are sold on ebay? Thank you for you very fast response : DD

 

@kittyasauras They are Beetle eyes sold on eBay, also Jeeryama's non-ebay shop clover-singing.com has them and if you get the eye number from Taobao shop they will get them for you. I love them and will probably buy more for those in my bunch who I think need to wear them.
I tried a black wig on Orijean but only under certain lighting does it look good on him. I'm pretty sure the other wig is his now.

I have Eyeco's 11mm eyes in my Aramis that fit him perfectly in my opinion, since I like his eyes looking a bit smiley :3 In my Saints I have 12mm glass eyes with small irises that looks wonderful.

My Saint, Aneirin, is wearing 14mms but I kind of want him to have less sclera (white) showing. It makes him look a little less human-like.

This thread is such an inspiration to me, everyone's dolls are so georgeous!
I am getting a Bernard in Fresh skin on the 35s body, he should arrive this week. I am not sure I will like the hands though, so I would like to know if there is a company who offers a skin similar to Dollshe's Fresh skin, where I could buy hands (jointed or not, I just want beautiful hands ^^)

 

So I actually had the same problem, I just got the 35s body a little while ago, and could not take the hands....a wonderful friend sent me the hands from the Rhythmos body (I think that's the body they're from), and they fit perfectly. they're almost the same as the 35s hands but better - sculpt is similar but the fingers are positioned better and slimmer without that weird thickness on the tips. And they match because Dollshe.

 

Yeah well, that might be difficult to find, what with the old bodies being discontinued and all

But it's true that the Rythmos hands are really beautiful, that would be great if I could find a pair for my boy! I'll keep searching for another company that matches though.

It has been 14 months since I did Kilian's faceup. I know I've gotten better at it since then, so I'm going to wipe his face and do it better or at least differently.

Is there a list of the eye sizes for all the Dollshe heads? Safrin Doll finally came back with doing in house eyes and I'm looking to buy for the characters I've got plans for.

 

I think most tend to have 10-12 mm eyes, but I could be wrong.

 

I knew there was one exception, but I couldn't remember who it was. Thanks for clearing that up!

Thanks! I think I'm going to go for these, though I'm not sure about the color, I received my Bernard today and he is more yellow than I thought, is normal pink a 100% match? I'm hesitating between normal pink and normal yellow right now...

 

I have the DL normal yellow also (I collect hands) and yes it matches better though a touch darker than the Fresh probably a better choice. The NY hands are larger and kept me from using them. From the bottom NY, NP, WS, Tan translucent.

Does anyone know if the rerelease Old Hound body hands are the same as the Pure body hands? I broke a finger and dollshe will sell me a pair of extra hands, but they said I must have pure body hands and I'll get them if they fit...but I wanna be sure

 

I have the old old (not re-release) Hound body and the new pure body and the hands are very similar, the newer one has thinner palm and fingers but the wrist joint is the same size.

 

Ronan has a new lady; I'd say he's pretty taken with her.

Been thinking about freckling up his body. I've never really done body blushing before, but 28m is built like a god so shirtless pictures are probably more warranted ahahahaha
