Dollshe Discussion - Part Eight

Apr 21, 2016

    1. Thank you for the input, I'll try & find that board thread on here. It's good to hear those shoes fit!!

    2. Wow, she is amazing! Congrats!

    3. thank you sooooo much!^^
      :celebrate

    4. What's with this Leonardo Di Caprio thing they're doing now? Oh Dollshe, why? There are so many other things for you to finish, why start another project?

    5. Me: *waiting* :huh?:
      Dollshe: Leo :dance
      Me: :nowords:

    6. He (Leo) Sounds Fabulous (I'll probably buy him)....Can't wait to see pics eventually, but, yeah, this is yet another project, to be added to the list. Would like to see him clear off the wait list first before this new project starts. I currently am not waiting for anything from Dollshe, but know there are lots of people waiting for orders as it is.

    7. $1.5K for Leonardo di Caprio? No thanks.

    8. If this a order made bjd, I thought based on the previous posting that it was something a person could order for them self for like $70,000. But if so it would not be up for public sale which defeats the whole OOAK concept. So this new development is indeed a sign of the Dollshe Apocalypse.
I wonder if he even thinks about ever getting King Corey finished at all. And Arsene and the poor little children.

Edit: Leo is going to be only 61cm tall. Lolraotf that's going to look hilarious next to the 70cm hunks.

    9. I got that email. I don't think I've ever been so confused by a Doll company post in my life.

I actually spent a few seconds thinking Leonardo di Caprio ordered dolls from them XD

    10. We can only hope that he finishes the unfinished work before he gets enough punters to make this new project viable. I can understand wanting new challenges and projects, but not when you are running a business and have thousands of dollars of other people's money on trust.

    11. at least now it seems the 50% loyalty programme is now gone lol
Judging from the reactions here, i guess this Leo doll is a no go? I wasn't interested anyway.

    12. I have just read this response from Mr Kim to someone enquiring about the release schedule.

Once inspiration pops up in my mind I can make several dolls at a time.
However, If there is no motivation, itโ€™s hard for me to make a new doll.
There are some dolls that havenโ€™t been completed and are waiting their turn.
I have worked hard when the original form was not completed and my health got worse. Iโ€™m trying not to push myself while Iโ€™m working currently.

I can so relate to that. Boom and bust. Three months frantic, inspired activity then nothing for the next six, only pushing through with routine work. Doesn't make for good business, though.

On the same response, he said three months to ship Arsene (don't know if that is large or small). So, it won't be three months, but at least he hasn't been completely forgotten about. Any news on King Corey?

Good to hear the 50% down offer has disappeared. That was a disaster waiting to happen.

    13. So, if I got it right, Dollshe wants people to buy a doll that hasn't been made yet? :? I mean, not even a 'love in grey' type of doll? :aeyepop:

      Scary.:shudder

    14. I just want King Corey news. ): I knew it would take a while, but the head and pose plus body did look finished already.

    15. oh, you so funny, M! :kitty1

    16. I sent a rather nasty email to Dollshe asking him to finish King Corey before going on with Leo. Will see how he responds.

    17. *Sigh* Ever the optimist, me. Stops me from going completely insane with all this.

    18. i'm actually about to order one more doll (Ausley Love) yesterday
maybe I shall wait a few more weeks after they shipped my first purchase. supposedly.

    19. Ausley is one of the dolls they have been shipping fast so no worries if you want to order her. It is the unfinished sculpts which are interminably delayed.

    20. I would be interested to hear what he says to the email, Walter. He needs a bit of discipline there, to sit down and do the onerous task of finishing off stuff he's lost interest in before he can go and play with the new stuff. He needs to eat his greens or no dessert!

    21. I don't understand why dollshe put himself in a difficult position :( Courage to those who wait !
And someone know if is Venitu going to reappear on website soon ?

    22. @Hachiko-chan96 , Venitu was sculpted by 5th Motif and just sold through the Dollshe site. Cho updates people through Facebook. Maybe check the 5th Motif thread?

    23. @BlitheFool okay thanks you for your precision that's what I'll do then! :)

    24. @Hachiko-chan96 Venitu was limited and is not actually a dollshe sculpt. He's not for sale anymore.

The sculpter just did a limited order of 16 dolls for the last time but I have no idea if all 16 are sold out. Like someone else said, you contact him on facebook, Fifth Motif.
