Dollshe Discussion - Part Eight

Apr 21, 2016

    1. I broke down and got a fresh pure body. I already know I love them and at this price I couldn't resist. :sweat

    2. @strm, Something is wrong with the website. My discount disappeared and wouldn't show up no matter what device I logged in on. Tell Dollshe that you haven't received your discount.

    3. That's the latest.
      Dear SN,

There are a lot of orders of 18M dolls due to this event so it will take for 2~3 months to produce it.
Your order #1749 (Grant Phillippe) will be delivered first in September.
      Have a wonderful day.

      Sincerely yours,
      DollShe craft

I believe it when I see it at the door LOL :-/

    4. @Therealwalter & @strm - Very odd. I have ordered less than five, that's assuming they're only counting full dolls. But like @T'Mari said, their website maybe glitching (again).

@SalmonNugget - Which body did you order him on? Because if it's the L1 there is a chance that may actually happen as those bodies are already made.

    5. So, if he is still casting sales orders until September (read October/November) I doubt the people who ordered Robin and Rosa will see them before Christmas. So, lots more members for the One Year Club.

    6. @Quiet and Insane mine is L2, ordered on May 27. But I'm totally OK if they shipped me the 18Ms first lol (ordered on July 9th and 30th)

    7. She arrived!!
And I can say honestly, that completely nothing fits her for now(( Not Iplehouse SID clothes, not Dollmore Model doll shoes( So I will order some EID but still in doubt whot to do with shoes.
      Her name is Kimberly=)

      • x 2
    8. @taecelle Congrats! She's gorgeous! Hope you can find some decent shoes for her.

    9. @SalmonNugget - Ah, you might be in for the long haul then. Good luck!

@taecelle - She's very pretty! Good luck finding her clothes. :)

    10. @taecelle that's so fetch! what breast size are those? those are huge!
I have a character on my mind that I want to create, but she is super flat chested, so I guess its probably not gonna be a dollshe girl lol unless they revive the 16F line with the pose + bodies #ABoyCanDream #FanFiction #StopMakingFetchHappen

@Quiet and Insane I'm expecting a year long wait to be honest lol I just want them to send me one of those 18M boys so I can use my 1% discount :-/

    11. I saw that people have asked for their bigger boys, but has anyone e-mailed Dollshe to ask when the 18M boys will be shipping? I just want to get a sense of how long wait I'm in for, I don't mind waiting as long as I know how long ;) And I'd hate to trouble them with another e-mail asking, if someone already has.

    12. @indigoparaflax , You mean the ones from the 50% off sale? Some people have already gotten them! Mr. Dollshe seems to be prioritizing the sale dolls. Although, he may yet run out of steam. I think a lot of people took advantage of the price break...

    13. Yes, I did take advantage of the price break and was glad I could buy just the body. I'm in the middle of my 7th month waiting for Arsene so I will probably be joining the 1 year club.

    14. Oooh! Did not know! :D The list in the waiting room was so empty, that's why I asked. But that's great news OuO I swapped my Fresh Aramis to a Pale Tan one thanks to the 50% off sale, so I'm so excite to get my boy back home <3

    15. This is the medium one - and they are not big comparable to her hight. She arrived with small breasts, but they are not flat, i think. Just small)

    16. Well, I broke down and jumped on the half off train for the Saint I've always wanted! First doll I've ordered directly from a company since 2010. Let the waiting begin!

    17. @taecelle congrats! She looks so pretty, I'd love to see more pictures

    18. I have ordered more than 15 full doll.
      Dollshe reply me:

The website managing program has been finished.
We asked to the website company to reuse the program.

We will give you our membership points into your account.
      Have a wonderful day.

      Sincerely yours,
      DollShe craft

But I am not received membership point, hope DollShe will give me next week.

    19. That's what they've told me too, but I only received the points from purchasing the dolls, not the difference of the discount and the normal price.

    20. DollShe told me: we provide you points when your order is delivered.

    21. But I am still waiting on my Arsene order from January. No single doll Arsene or Robin or Rosa in sight, but Dollshe launches one event after the other. Sorry, I really love Dollshe art, but that is not normal. Now he offers "loyality discount", wants to ship a doll after only 50% payment. He raises much money without casting a single doll, that makes me nervous. It also effects Dollstown which also casts at Dollshe. Did You see a single new 17year body casted yet?
Todayยดs Dollshe news says another 3 month delay. :(

    22. not to mention they are ending the 30% sale early, its like saying buy now, our dolls are going fast and we can't promise when will it end, so buy while you can.
That said, I still need to come up with the money for my David Kuncci, Ausley and Amanda (in pale tan). #FirstWorldProblem #SMH

    23. Hmm, I don't remember anyone complaining from delayed Dollstown orders (I even went to check in the DT waiting room, and everything seems fine there). Where does that information come from?
I saw several Dollstown Female 17 years bodies (on Flickr, and even one on the DoA market place that I was too broke to buy ;__;") and the pre-order for the 17 year boys has yet to start (last time I heard of them, they said "maybe" early August.)

      I'm personally not super happy with their decision to change (yet again) the time and limit on their dolls :/ I was planning to get an Amanda on the last period of ordering (next February) but I have less that half the dolls and half the time to gather the money ;__;

    24. Thanks Ivelia for the info about Dollstown. I found the threads about 17year bodies now. I will ask Anjonghak from Dollstown about the current waiting time.

    25. I don't see mention of the extra jointed dolls. (I may just be overcome by words)
has anyone heard from Dollshe about the Pose Plus versions?

      *_*

    27. Wow, I was not expecting to see that image here of all places. XD

    28. I feel like history is strongly repeating itself here; Dollshe taking such a long time for certain sculpts, and then he releases/reopens new/old sculpts, and everyone's sitting at home, scratching their heads, trying to understand how this man's mind works x) Somehow I get the feeling these releases are simply to have the funds to finish the sculpts he hasn't finishes. As if the 18M boys are easier to make/mold, so by selling them he can have an income while the old orders are piling up, getting nowhere.

    29. @farin - regarding Dollstown, I ordered a body from them recently and it showed up in, like, 3 weeks or something. Super fast. I think they might just use Mr.Dollshe's studio.

The new loyalty program seems very risky for Dollshe. Why would you mail a doll that's only partially paid for?

    30. It seems really weird. The amount of money they could potentially lose from people who only pay the 50%, get their doll, and then vanish...no it just doesn't seem right to me.

    31. @Quiet and Insane- totally agree. I dunno what he's thinking. But then, you never do know what to expect from Mr. Dollshe...

    32. Give it a month and he'll probably change his mind again...

    33. The whole "reasons" for the delay didn't make sense to me, I mean they knew there's gonna be 4 x 50 units for each line up until Feb, and will shut down that round as soon as the quoters are met, so there is no reason to change the deadline (from Feb to Dec) because of taking "massive orders".

As for 18M, they should have known better when people asked about not having the certificate (which they claimed a lot), and they still open the 50% sale to everyone, of course there are gonna be huge response. They could have set a limit like they did the 26F/28M lines.

Also the number of time of each silicon mold can be used is kinda lame excuse if you ask me, it's not like they don't know how many orders they have taken and how many mold of each face sculpt are need. That's simply poor production management.

And then the 50% loyalty program? This doesn't make any sense to me whatsoever. Let's just hope they keep their shipping schedule on time, but I'm not optimistic to be honest :-P

    34. I'm honestly out of date on what is happening at Dollshe. I only looked at them again because I heard there was a sale and I'd always had my eye on Amanda a bit.

I'm just hoping I won't be waiting for a year like some others have.

    35. I don't disbelieve the excuses, since silicone moulds really do have a lifespan and really are fragile. Not to mention that masters can be fragile too, and break when the mould is made, adding to the workload (because repair is necessary, and the damage could be extensive).

I do think the management is pretty questionable though. It's hard not to feel slated as a customer when your order gets pushed back more and more with no proof of progress. I'm not minding too much myself, but it's still a bit... Hmm.

And hahahahahaha that loyalty program...! It actually makes me really worried that they're running out of cash and trying to secure quick (though risky) sales. I can live with my doll taking a long time, but I fear DollShe going under before I get my doll resulting in no doll or refund. D:

    36. well no doubt there are limited lifespan for each mould, but they also know how many dolls they are gonna make and what colour they are, they could have prepared a few more ahead of time especially they already planned on making 200 28M / 26F bodies. Using the mould as an excuse is just not acceptable. It's simple mathematics, just saying.

    37. I really do not think mathematics is Mr. Dollshe's strong point.
      Just saying.:ablah:

    38. He doesn't seem to be familiar with either mathematics or time management, but some artists aren't. It's too bad (for us) that he doesn't have a competent scheduler/planner or someone willing to say 'No' to him before he pops off one of these bizarre emails.

    39. I'm developing this anxiety over Dollshe going under before I get a chance to buy another doll from them. For all you Dollshe vets, is this anxiety common? Does it tend to be unfounded?

    40. Up until now it's been a seesaw, but Dollshe is getting weirder faster so anxiety is real.

    41. Hmm, it is not that weird. He has been doing exactly this for years - and has upped the prices so that he can do a sale for the price that used to be normal. The one year club is also not a new thing...

    42. So if you are a Bronze level member you can get the doll with only half down? Okay I know I fighting a real bad head cold, but this does not make sense to me at all:nowords:

    43. so, those who pay for their dolls and are waiting are basically funding other people's dolls half paid for, with no
      guarantee of a happy ending?

Dollshe didn't used to be like this. you ordered a doll. he never spoke a word to Westerners. you eventually got your doll.
or you bought your dolls (the way I did) through Tensiya where Anu the Wonderful treated all of us like family.

My Dollstown honey snow Elf arrived in less than 3 months. earlier this year.
if your buying an already cast sculpt, the time can be pretty quick.

      :nosebleed

    44. I keep reading the posts that there dolls took or are taking a year to get...., WHY?
I got mine in 3 months. They kept trying to give excuses to take longer, I finally said send my doll or I'll cancel my order with my credit card!! My doll came a week later.

      • x 1
    45. @Mrkendoll1 - good for you, but that certainly raises some concerns. Did they have your complete order, and were holding it for no reason? Did they send you someone else's identical order so you wouldn't cancel? Considering the shipping time, it's like they sent it immediately after being threatened, so why were they trying to delay it?

      Man, now I'm worried.

    46. Here's the funny thing I just ordered another doll with 2pr of shoes.
The 1st time for the delay was they were redoing the bodies, I'll give them that one. Now the 2nd time they were having a "holiday" so weren't going to ship him. That's when I said ship or get no $$ as I called my credit card company to refute the charges. Like I said it came a week later.
I'm not going to take an excuse not to send me my paid for doll.

    47. @Mrkendoll1 Huh. I don't know anything about foreign holidays so I personally would have given them a couple more days, but I tend to be pretty laid-back about my stuff. The delays that turn into a year are just insane though!

    48. The problem is they were telling me they weren't shipping because the holiday was coming up.... Why are we discussing this & your not shipping it?? My fear was they would take how long everyone else seems to be having now... A year??? No Beuno for me

    49. @Mrkendoll1 Yeah, I don't blame you for wanting to nip it in the bud. If the holiday was only coming up, I don't see what was keeping them from shipping it.

    50. Well, after spending a good while reading through this entire thread in an attempt to try to find out what's going on at Dollshe, I took the plunge and ordered myself an Amanda. I've admired his dolls for years and couldn't miss out on the opportunity to get this gorgeous sculpt. I'm hoping I won't be granted membership to the 1 year club though :sweat
She'll be the biggest doll I've ever owned, but her character is supposed to be rather tall so I hope she won't be too hefty for me.

    51. Congrats, @Rivon ! Hopefully your Amanda doesn't take an eternity to cast. My Erica Snow took about 5 months or so, I think. The big girl bodies are really nice! The only problem is she's impossible to find shoes for. I have mine is little slippers that are intended for boy dolls.

    52. Thanks @BlitheFool :) Your erica is so beautiful! I already have an Iplehouse girl that's hard to find shoes for, so at least I'm used to difficult feet xD I ordered my girl in pure fresh skin so hopefully it goes a little bit faster with a standard resin colour.

    53. Thanks, @Rivon ! She doesn't fit in Iplehouse shoes either- just a fair warning there. I'm not sure if anyone has found something that works with those lovely (but enormous) feet.

    54. Yeah I already read that she doesn't fit those shoes, I was hoping she could fit some of the EID clothes though. On the plus side I guess the size of her feet help them stand?

    55. I've heard a lot of the IH stuff will fit the new body. I haven't tried yet though. She does stand very well. She's a good poser.

    56. @BlitheFool your Erica Snow is gorgeous! Also her jewelry is beautyful! :love

    57. Thank you, @Rook_Sever ! Whispering Grass sent me the necklace for free with the dress when I bought it. The ring is from Highpriestessice on Etsy.

    58. The Dollshe 70cm doll shoes are hard to find. I was asking every vendor I could find if they had any for my 70cm David K Dollshe doll. Dollshe is actually making shoes now so I hope that will be good news...

    59. @Mrkendoll1 - For the 28M boys, Iplehouse EID shoes fit perfectly. My 2 guys wear them. I feel like I heard some of the big Dollmore shoes fit too? I'd check the 'what fits' thread on the board.
