DollShe craft 28M and 26F Fashion Pose 44/41 cm size

Dec 8, 2014

1. DollShe craft has announced a new 28M and 26F Fashion Pose 44/41 cm size.

OMG David reduced in scale is a dream come true. My old hands just cannot handle the larger dolls that well anymore and I was crazy in love with David but could not give in to his 70cm size.

Quoting DollShe craft:

" We ask you for your love of our small, but detailed FASHION Line.
Soon, pre-orders will begin and give unrevealed parts as present before the Christmas.

We will be supplying wigs, shoes, clothes, furniture, and accessories that fit FASHION Line. So be sure to check our accessories as well.

In order to make right sized shoes, we are currently producing outsole and last.

DollShe craft will always offer highest quality and variety styles.

We will be releasing both CLASSIC Line and FASHION Line together in our future as well.

After revealing master sculpt, we are planning event that will be step closer to your doorstep. The discount and our secret parts will only be given during pre-orders.

We will continue to strive for excellence in quality and service.

Have a nice day.

2. I am so excited about this!!! I can't wait to see how they look finished and with face-ups - they look amazing! I can already tell I'm going to want the boy so badly...

3. That face... *swoon* I loved David and Grant... Oh please let them release Grant in this size as well...

4. I'm definitely interested in seeing what Dollshe does with this new size/line. I wonder if he'll miniaturize all of his bigger dolls…that would be pretty cool.

Thanks passionafashion for creating the thread.

5. waahh I am stupidly excited for these! This is what it seems so many people have been asking to have for such a long time; mature men dolls in a 1/4 size! I can't wait to see both the males and females released for sale. :D

6. When I first saw Ausley love I fell in love, now that she's a mini I'm going to put her on my headless body! She'd be the perfect size i think...well I hope haha

7. wonder if they can share clothes with chicline boys, some if not all.

8. Seeing David in this size makes me glad I'd been over-thinking what to do with his 70 cm version if I bought him. I'd rather have a difficult-to-shop-for guy in a smaller size than a larger one. He'll need less space, sewing for him will need less fabric (if I'd want to cover that magnificent body with clothes, that is), plus shipping will be cheaper.

9. I can't find where it says the release date will be before Christmas...?

I wonder what the price range on these guys will be?

I looove little David, but I'm kind of hoping that they don't just miniaturize all the larger sculpts. I think it'd be very interesting to see a couple of all-new ones. Although....tiny Saint would convince me for sure that I must have one of these. ;)

10. They are bigger than the C-line dolls. C-lines are about 40cm and David is 44cm.

11. This is so amazing! I really hope I can snag one someday. :D

12. I think they're pretty great too. I have them in the big sizes, but I don't think I would have bought them if I had an option for smaller. I'm tempted to have the small ones too.

• x 1
13. Ah, I am super excited about the small ones! I mostly collect 1/6 scale dolls, and it delights me to see more mature tinies. I've been wanting a good ~16-18 inch boy for a while to match up to one of my dolls.

Not to mention, Dollshe says they're going to be making wigs and clothes... so many of those will be absconded with for various purposes.

14. Sapphire, the text is sort of vague, but under the last photo it says:

"Soon, pre-orders will begin and give unrevealed parts as present before the Christmas."

This sounds like preorders will be open before Christmas?

15. I am super duper excited over this. While I like my immature looking minis, I've wanted a really mature looking male mini for awhile.

16. Can't wait!!!!

17. So excited for the guy! The big version was perfect for a character of mine but as a MSD only collector I resigned myself to never owning him... up to now.

18. This really got me very excited! I can't wait until further details are released about them :D
I would really love to own a Grant Phillippe on this size, especially since this scale would fit perfectly for an OC that I have in mind for a particular story ( > u <)///

19. I think they will be bigger than MiniFee and Chic Line, I can't wait to get Ausley Love in this size!

20. I was extremely happy to see the news. :D!!!! I've always had SDs before but I'm getting more into smaller size dolls lately, and this is just wonderful. They look so detailed and amazing. T~T
I've always admired dolls from Dollshe but their size was considered too big for me(my tallest doll is 65cm and I feel that he's too big sometimes so 70cm+ is....just too much for me).

I can't wait to see their other models in the same size especially 18M line and Venitu(but he's from 5th Motif so it may not possible) if they're gonna do the same thing with them. ;~; I'm wondering the price range too and am a little bit nervous(working student...sigh). After I've sworn to myself I won't get any new dolls in the near future...... :doh

21. Also makes me wonder if these dolls will be On Topic for the forum???? The term Fashion Doll is not on topic with this forum even if some are made of resin.

22. Interesting point. The Dollmore dolls in this scale are small versions of their big dolls, just like these and the Chicline dolls. I think it's just semantics as all of these have the aesthetics of their big versions. Calling them "fashion dolls" doesn't make them so. In any event, it's up to the mods.

23. The Dollmore 16" fashion dolls were deemed on-topic in May 2013 (http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?575919-Re-evaluation-of-Dollmore-16-quot-quot-Fashion-quot-Dolls-topicality), though no one's started a discussion thread for them, that I can tell.

When I first saw the Dollshe pics, I thought they were photoshopped, and hypothetical, but... looking at them again, they could be the real deal. Very, very tempting... my David and Ausley can have mini-mees, to be their consciences, LOL.

24. Beamlette, I can't wait for the photostories if you buy these. ;) I just think they'd be so much easier to play with. I love my big dolls, but they just sit around like huge fashion dolls in my tiny house. Sometimes I wonder what I was thinking when I look around at them.

25. I would love a Mini David or Grant, that body is so :love:drool:nosebleed and my wallet will do this to me :chomp::mwahaha

26. I'm beyond excited and will be on board as soon as the pre-order is opened.

If Dollshe follows through with even only shoes made to fit this line, I'll be happy.

27. I am looking forward to seeing the release :)

28. I'm wondering if they will appear to be grown adults when next to FL minifees who look like young adults... I can't wait to see comparison shots. 44cm sounds like a hair taller than my Minifees, and I have a character who is a 50 year old man, which might fit this size, and he is mentoring my 21 year old character who is currently portrayed by a Minifee.

29. I would love a Tiny Husky, Rosen, and Hound. Do you think they'll make a tiny Berman? :aheartbea

30. I'd die if they made a mini Berman XD

But honestly I think I'm doomed with these minis, I've been wanting a David for soo long but the size is sort of intimidating, especially since I have limited space right now. Having them in mini would be amazing though! :D

31. I'm so glad someone created a thread for these. I looked for one yesterday after I saw the announcement on BJDCollectasy and couldn't find anything.

I agree with linakauno that calling them fashion dolls doesn't make them so. No one looking at David would mistake him for a typical fashion doll--the aesthetic is completely different. The typical fashion doll is just a vehicle to show off the clothing. David could stand around in a thong and that would be enough, because in his case the clothing is the vehicle for showing off the body.

32. Now I've got that image stuck in my mind and I think I need to get my guy a thong and make a picture like this xD

33. I'm doomed if they ever do a Saint mini. Dollshe Saint has been on my wishlist forever

34. I wonder about the cost. Just because they are tiny doesn't translate into cheaper. The casting could be, and probably is more tricky. The finishing/ cleaning off the gates more time consuming. The only thing that could make them less pricey is the amount of resin involved. I really do hope I'm wrong, however the cost of the other resin dolls (Sybarites, Numina) that size are not cheap.

I wonder if dollshe is going to make his whole line into the smaller version. I'd love that. And I can't wait to see the clothing.

35. I'd also love a tiny Venitu, but him technically being a 5th Motif doll makes my less certain it would happen~~~

36. I hope that the price range is around $300.00-$500.00ish (considering the amount of details these dolls have, it must not be easy to cast them) and not in the same price range as their 70cm counterparts.

37. They now have the new categories listed in their sidebar, just no items yet.

I'm pretty excited to see the price range of them, though even if they end up costing as much as their 70cm counterparts I'll not pass up on the guy, he's just too perfect for my character.

38. For those wondering how they would look with a ChicLine, I did a mock up, based on the measurements on the two sites. CLines look tiny, but could possibly work. They certainly couldn't share clothes, though.

I also did a face comparison, to see if CLine faces are too stylised to go with a mini Kuncci. If you chose a realistic CLine sculpt and paint it realistically, they could go together. The Rou head would actually be slightly smaller than this in an actual side-by-side.

39. These different doll scales make me crazy. I can't decide anything anymore. I just hope if I cave and buy these, Dollshe actually has clothes manufactured to fit them, especially menswear and shoes. These realistic dolls need tiny Freedom Teller type clothes or they just don't look right to me.

Edit: Of course, they say they're making shoes, etc. but they've made promises of this sort before for their other dolls.

40. I think they'd be more compatible with a Bimong Shahti than a ChicLine, given their head size and proportions.

Comparison_1 by Ashbet, on Flickr

(Pardon the rather rough photo, it was taken just for comparison purposes -- the two tall girls are Shahtis.)

I'm really interested in these, although I hope they do more female heads, because I prefer Amanda to Ausley.

-- A <3

ETA: I haven't seen a Lumedoll mini in person, but I also think they'd be more comparable. I don't think they'd be at ALL comparable with MiniFee, who have much larger, more anime-styled/stylized heads.

41. I am joining the group of people who are excited about this! I had given up ever owning David until now. I CAN'T WAIT!!

42. I just hope that FreedomTeller might make suits for the guy. That would be so amazing ;u;

43. All information is out :D
the price is IMO pretty damn amazing, sales start on the 12th and I'm so going to bring one home :3

44. $276? Dayum! That is going to be popular. Damn. And me pre-Christmas broke. But I think they will struggle to sell many at the full price. That is the same price as a Minifee, but that is a well-established line. Iplehouse (another of the expensive companies) only charges $345 for their MSDs. I think it is a mistake to go over $370. $350 would have been a better price. As I have said elsewhere, we just aren't spending the sort of money we used to on dolls.

ETA: Laughing at this

Say it all as one long word and no one will notice. XD

45. Well....looks like I'm getting twin Grants :V
that price is simply amazing!!! I don't care about the wait!!!

46. Well....looks like I'm getting twin Grants :V
that price is simply amazing!!! I don't care about the wait!!!

47. I wonder if the "unrevealed part" will be the sleeping head. Although a pair of the teeny eyes he'll need wouldn't come amiss. ;)

48. Reindeer antlers and a Santa hat. That is what I am hoping for. In March-July.

49. Welp im gonna have to snatch these guys up at the sale price with layaway. xD
Wanted to wait and see if they made amanda head, but I might like the ausley in the little size.

I asked about resin colours, im assuming they will be offered in all their colours but you never know.

50. I am so sold. Of course I wasn't allowed to have any dolls this anymore, but I can't possibly pass by a mini David. I mean really. WANT. The only reason why I never got one in the first place was his size, and look at him now XD.

51. Wowser wowdy wow…That price is good. :aheartbea Glad to see their delay announcement upfront and the bit about them still working on the master sculpt and secret parts to set expectations. Maybe we'll see these little gems in a years time. I'm hoping good things for this little line. I do agree that the regular price can get up there…once you venture past the basic resin shades that don't have an additional cost. I'm wondering how much of an up charge the honey skin or pure tans/grey/colours will be...

52. Yep definitely getting one...or two......

53. I think I'm getting them too. By the time they finally arrive months and months from now, I will have recovered from the financial bite of buying them and it will be like getting a present in the mail.

54. will they offer face up at all? TIA

55. The price for the Christmas event is just too good to pass up. I was pretty much sold on them the moment I saw them, but the event price just seals it.

I'm also glad they mentioned the waiting time up front. That's really honest of them and super helpful. I wish more companies would just be up-front about long wait times. And I agree with you linakauno, after waiting till summer for them, the pain from the financial bite will have faded and it'll just be time for pure enjoyment. :D

Anyone think these little men would look good with the Dollmore FMDs? They've got about the same size heads and they wear the same size eyes.

56. Dollshe has never offered a face-up option.

57. ...and yet there is a category for it on their site. It's too bad they don't offer faceups & blushing because whoever did the ones for the sales photos is truly amazing.

58. The faceups on the sales threads are by SDink, she was asked by Dollshe to do the sample faceups for the dolls, since she brings out the best in the sculpts;are only to show the doll's potential.
Dollshe used to be offer faceup services when they first reopened in 2010, but dropped shortly thereafter, since added even more
Of a wait time on already super long wait

59. *snicker* That would be perfect if it also came with a glowing red nose. ;)
