I've been looking through galleries of doll photos and I've noticed there's so many dolls with blank or neutral expressions. I want to see some emotion! Whether it's sorrow, joy, anger, or smugness, I want to see some dolls with expressive sculpts!
Can't get more expressive than your bunch, @VampireAngel13! Expressive anthro, DollZone Burton TomCat Happy Mother's Day by Nadine, on Flickr And I think 5th Motif Venitu certainly conveys a mood Neddy by Nadine, on Flickr
This girl definitely does not have a neutral expression! She's a Delf Ari Wink and her name is Himeko. Fingers crossed that I got a face up slot for her with my fave artist!
Haru Casting Adori is expressive both with teeth... Rabbit by Nadine, on Flickr ...and with tongue Rabbit by Nadine, on Flickr
@VampireAngel13 All of your Jokers are awesome! My favorite is the "chibi" one (is he a puki?) Here is my expressive doll:
Thank you! He's a Littlefee PongPong (version 1 since they have a 2 now)....and I feel like I should find a better picture of him since I had to redo his faceup XD
One of three different expressions on Haru Casting's Nanni sculpt Hand got dirty by Nadine, on Flickr
My Granado Michael's expression changes depending on the camera angle, ranging from amusement to annoyance. Makes him really fun to photograph, IMO. The Many Expressions of Granado Michael by Yela Gatchalian-David, on Flickr
I think that the photo that I have with the most expressive face is this one, I have to work more on it.
Whenever I feel a little down, I just look at my little Doll Leaves Ding-Ding, and her happy expression always brightens up my day.
I love seeing all these expressive sculpts! Here's my April Story Lillian I'm currently saving up for an Angel of Dream Heidi, she has an even more pronounced grin!
All those depicted in the thread are wonderful, but, Vampire Angel...THESE TWO ARE INCREDIBLE! Did you to all the work yourself? Team Batman indeed! Pong as the Joker is brilliant. Totally boggled.... Have to admit, Wiishu and Pookii work for my stories because of their fairly neutral expressions and can be read many ways depending on camera angle, body language and situation, and since the real appeal of the hobby for me is the storytelling, I've been able to avoid the wonderful sculpts you're highlighting here (and thank you for doing that!!!!) That being said, I had to get a backup faceplate when Wiishu's original began to reach the end of its resurractability and the new one hasn't quite the sweet quizzical-ness of the original. Doesn't stop me from really loving all these.
Thank you! I did the faceups and styling (those are all old pics neither look like that anymore lol) but neither of them have any mods. Pong is the best Joker. I especially love his sleep face!
I'll be honest, at first I didn't want a smile on Gobbie, but it really grew on me. Ollie always has a slight smile too.
