I know that many people made them themselves, but have you tried etsy? Ryuichi loves to read at the library. 100_9517_zpse177350d by Ryuichi Sakuma, on Flickr Ryu
I have browse through all that have been posted on etsy in the past several weeks. I've certainly bookmarked what's suitable. I was just hoping there were some other shops that happened to sell them!
Did you find a tutorial or make them on the fly? If you used a tutorial, mind linking it? I'd love to make some books for my Crew. To keep this post OT, here's a pic of Ryuichi reading to his best buddy, Kumagorou. Of course, its the story of 'The Velveteen Rabbit.' 100_9826_zpsf1324f04 by Ryuichi Sakuma, on Flickr Ryu
I made them on the fly mostly. Spoiler: How I made my books Then I got the idea to have a local printing company cut and pad a ream of paper. Cuts three across and three down on regular 8.5x11 paper and glue or pad them about 3/4" or so then I found photos of book covers online and scaled them to fit the front and back. I tore the padded paper to the width I needed for the book spine and glued the cover to the front, spine and back. Ta-dah books at 1/3 scale. If you look at the bottom of the bookshelf there is padded paper I haven't made into books yet.
That is brilliant! Thank you for the idea. Again, to keep this post OT, here's another old pic I found of Ryuichi reading at the library's reading garden. 100_9503_zpsb3c6fdf2 by Ryuichi Sakuma, on Flickr Ryu
This mini-book came with a stamp kit bought from a Japanese overruns store. Not even sure what's written on it (although I can recognize the character for 'heart' on the cover page). Bitter Medicine 03 by Yela Gatchalian-David, on Flickr
Sunlight ain't for the resin kind; better stay in and read! Bookbinding is another hobby of mine, so I have a lot of these lying around. They happened to be roughly 1/3 scale, so yay!

A guest register is sort of a book. (yes, he's a leftie, like his mom. Only his handwriting is better! )
