Shopping Dolls under 300$ (update 06/22)

BBB seems to be either gone or a broken link.

 

It's a broken link. It's always very easy to test these things by removing everything after the .com (or .net in some cases); the main shop loads just fine.

Just a note about Shine Doll..... I asked for a quote from them for a 72cm body a few months ago. The list price on their website does not include an additional fee for "international transaction". Their shipping quote was also the highest I've ever seen. The additional amounts put them out of my price range and not in the range of the lower price companies.

@bluekitsune, sometime when you're updating, you might want to add the link to Batchix's Etsy shop, for her $250 MSD Lagoon: Batchix Dolls by batchix The Etsy shop seems to be a little more active than the website on your list.

And tinybear/sleepingelf's website has a full selection of tiny dolls (all in the $175-$225 range), where her Etsy shop concentrates more on wigs and Monster High repaints. The website is: SleepingElf

Just a heads up, while looking at the yosd category, one of the links starting with the letter A was a broken link that took me to a scareware site that froze my computer.

 

Anyone else having trouble reaching SleepingElf.com? It just shows "connecting" for ages, and then eventually "The connection has timed out". I've been trying for a couple of days, and via various links.

Heads up, Dragondoll (Which might now be going by Telestheseia doll???) has raised their prices. They're still quite reasonable, but most are no longer under $300.

 

Dragondoll and Telesthesia are sister companies. Maybe it's already been asked but does anyone have a link to Two.S.Dolls?? MintOnCard hasn't sold them for several years.

 

The link DollFactory 26,5cm 230 leads to a virus site. I had to close my browser 2 or 3 times and turn on Airplane Mode to get away from it! The old website must no longer be there! :'(

 

It works fine for me. It sounds like it's more of an issue with your device (I have had several legit sites come up as "malicious" on Android, for some reason). I'd recommend checking it on a computer instead of a mobile device.

 

I just tried to visit it after enabling View Desktop Site, and it works fine, but they mobile site was virusy.

 

This may be getting a bit into the technical weeds for this site, but... there isn't actually a mobile site for Doll Factory. It just loads as the desktop version, in a squished-to-your-screen format. I checked both emulation for both Android and Apple devices (and even tossed in a Galaxy for good measure), and got no virus warnings or mobile site. I also checked with an actual mobile device (Android, with Avast and Verizon's default security), and got no warnings there either. So, for the sake of not scaring other people off from the site, I will say it is clean, and likely came up as a false positive on whatever security app your particular phone is using; for others who may encounter the same problem, trying the "view desktop site" option may be the best one, but they shouldn't be concerned about the site. If you want any help figuring out what's going on with your phone, feel free to message me and maybe we can solve it. I wanted to post this here to reassure anyone else reading the page that the site is fine, but anything beyond that will be way too technical for a BJD forum.

 

It may just be me, but Amber Dolls/Amber Academy seems to be gone?
Their site's not working and none of the local sellers seem to carry them anymore...

 

They're super uncommon (a search of them turns up just a wiki page on DoA) but Fect doll has SD's in the low 300's

 

Are there any tiny dolls that are "affordable"? I want some more tinies but don't want to blow the bank so to say

There are some. If you look in the top row of tabs and look in the REFERENCE tab and look in the Wiki you can see a list of dolls under $300. There are others out there but you need to look around. You can find some good dolls for that price range.

Idk if you only count whole dolls but if bodies count swell Raccoondoll has some gorgeous ones for 280$

I just wanted to post a photo of my doll, which was way under $300 - she is a Doudou girl by Myou Doll, 1/6 size (26 cm) with 14 mm eyes. I think she is the cutest thing in the world. I gave her my new resin eyes I just finished, picked the green FAIRY color.

i used this list and used impldoll Aurora, with face up it cost under 300. list was wery helpfull. still waiting her. maybe next month will be here.

ImplDoll Alma is a Dream. She’s so beautiful! I worked on this sculpt three times so far when clients sent heads for commission, and gosh, those lips. She’s so stunning.

If you're looking for vinyl, like Voks DD, I'm afraid I don't. But Luts has a few resin ones, this, for example, and I'm sure I've seen some on other company websites, as well.

 

Do you know much about obitsu? i was thinking of getting an anime obitsu head and putting in on a different body.

 

@gracemary13 I'm sorry, I don't have any experience at all with Obitsus. Some of them are on topic here, though, so you might search for a thread or start your own if you can't find one about Obitsu hybrids.
