Dolls Party in Volks USA Website

one of the wigs I got started staining my boys head cap yellow T.T i just noticed that today...

 

Yes, Volks warns about that on their website. They recommend using one of their wig caps. I know I want to use one for my limited wig when it comes in.

 

Ill have to find something I can use for now till i can get around to maybe ordering some.. O.<

 

I got the DD grab bag since all my big kids have DD sized heads. Man that was a bad idea, I ended up with one long wig that I think I like and four really short cuts that I don't like at all.

Mine is going to be even longer, I bought Pearl with my wigs. So they will not be shipped until Pearl is ready

 

Oh no! I thought my wait was long. Pearl isn't out until after the new year. yikes.

 

Tell me about it ;_; I had to put a Liz on layaway to aide my sadness in wait.

I love how initially before we paid they were all like "end of december". I bet we get ours in march

 

I know what you guys mean. It feels like forever.

 

IV, Nani: We are all in the same boat for the long wait for Pearl. I hope Volks ships out early February as stated.

 

Well I just got my bill and Pearl was on it ... geeze and she does not ship till Feb?
Wow! That is months away (60 days), usually they dont charge so far in advance ... I didnt think Visa liked that .... perhaps they will ship soon and we will get Christmas Pearls!!!

 

We have a couple more weeks until our dolls arrive, yay!

 

With Volks orders I think that is pretty normal. I pad for my wigs a month ago and they don't ship until the end of this month or the first weekof January. I know what you mean though, it is a long way to wait.

 

I went to the Volks store yesterday and they let me play with her. I put wigs of all colors and all styles. All my girls in the past have worn wigs with bangs, but this girl is different. She looks good in every color and fantastic in "shag" kind of wigs. I can't wait to dress her. She's just beautiful.
Oh..........and, the best news? I was told that the limited SD's would be to us at the end of February, well........they are going to be to us at the end of January or beginning of February. So, maybe only 6 weeks? Woo-Hoo!

 

That's really good news. I can't wait for Pearl to ship and get that outfit and those boots on my SD16 Garnet girl, Ciera. =3

 

I am biting my nails over here waiting for Ruby, I have so many plans for her. I want those boots too. I bought the blk pair on the site so I'm good. I just hope that we recieve those emails that they will be shipping this week.

 

I just got an email from VolksUSA with my shipping info so the candy curl wigs are on their way! Woohoo! What a wonderful Xmas gift.

 

I just checked and got an email about my wig shipment too. I thought I had asked for a in-store pickup, since my shipping address is only 2 miles away from the store and I was charged $8 for UPS Ground shipping. Really?

I was emailed at 5:23 pm, so any advice if I can cancel the delivery? I'll just see if Volks is still open right now.

EDIT: And it'll be at my parents house by tomorrow.

 

I recieved mine also. My girl will be here on Jan 2.

 

Just received my email for my twin bunch curls wig stating it has been shipped. I can't wait to get it!

Oh I am so happy that I'm getting my Candy Curl wig afterall! I was a little worried that there was a mistake since the status was blank for so long but that's normal until they charge and ship it out. Whew on that! Hooray for everyone getting their wigs!

 

I got my shipping notice for Ruby, however, I'm going to my grandparent's house tomorrow and she's scheduled to get there tomorrow. Figures. :P I may have to run home mid afternoon to check for her, just in case they aren't asking for signatures...as for obvious reasons I don't want a rather pricy doll sitting on my doorstep all day.

I'm getting my wigs I can't wait it comes today.

 

They are asking for a signature, and I won't be home to sign for her...so I wait until the 26th.

Maybe you can call them and let then know and they can better assist you in getting her before. In my case I shipped her ground and they aren't shipping ground packages until Monday so I have to wait until Friday to get her.

 

I missed the delivery by 30 minutes. ;_;

I will drive to the local distro center on Friday the 26th to pick her up, as like RRoss said, ground shipments are frozen until Monday.

 

My delivery date is January 5th so I guess they will be an early Birthday gift to myself. lol
I am sure I will have a few to trade too.

 

I have my girl. It's a good thing that I'm stripping her lips faceup, because there are twin rub spots on her lips from the face mask slipping.

That and the fact that she's probably been in the box for a year. :P

My limited wig and SD sized Lucky dip bag arrived and I finally had a minute to snap a photo. I was thrilled to see the black up-do re-released with this event! The other wigs I got are beautiful but don't really work for any of my dolls, so my girlfriend got most of them. A silly picture of my Shiwoo in the blond curls might happen though.

Oh St. James, that wig is really cool! I didn't even notice at first that it had a zig zag part on it like that which makes it all the more special

Thank you fireflytrance! I love those two little bow pieces, they look great on every wig of Luna's but especially this new one. You couldn't really tell from the first pic that they were on so I had to take another one to show how cute they look!

 

Wooohoo! My wigs finally came in today. I got a pretty good haul. 4 out of 5 are girl wigs and only two are true keepers, but I have a girl & plans for another in the Spring so that is a good thing. Also, the two wigs I am keeping are really good for my dolls. I think I can style the white wig up into something suitable for 18th century outfits etc.

Well...I had planned on coming home and posting pics of my new wig. However, seems as if I was sent the wrong wig. I called Volks and they were super nice and offered to send my the one I had originally won (Twin bunched curls), but after seeing the Candy Curl (the one they accidently sent me) in person, I decided that I really liked it! So, after making sure that it was not someone else's wig who might have gotten mine, Volks said it was fine that I keep it (plus if someone does get mine, they said they can get a replacement for the other person). They are so nice there! I just love their customer service and I am so happy what could have been a difficult situation turned out so well. Yay for Volks!!! ^_^

 

The Pearl's have arrived at the Volks store. We'll be getting emails soon. Yea!!!!
