I am due to get my wigs tomorrow, I have the MSD wigs coming so I will post what
I get. I may not be able to use them as I have yo's ( oh well, sigh )

 

RE: You too?! I just received an e-mail from Volks saying that the Wig Lucky-Dip Grab Bag -- MSD Size was being shipped to my house. Did Volks mention that there would be more than one winner for these prizes, or just one? *scratches head*

 

There were multiple wig dips not one. I won one too. But I'm not getting it yet since I also put in for the candy curl wig.

RE: Yeah, I know there were three -- one wig grab bag for MSD sized dolls, one wig grab bag for SD dolls, and one wig grab bag for DD dolls. I thought, three bags equals three winners. *shrugs* I guess I was mistaken. But, hey, it's nice to know that there were more than three people who won. Of course, in my book, anyone who entered any type of raffle regardless, is a winner in my book.

I hope this is the right place, but VOLKS is delivering using UPS, how does that work? I know like in USPS they make 2 rounds of delivery a day and that's it, does the UPS makes rounds or patterns or something? *very confused*

I hope I manage to get 114N...thats an awesome looking wig. (I bought the wig pack for new MSD...although girls wigs might make me decide to buy another girl MSD)

 

Oh I'm scared now that the Volks MSD wigs will not fit my DOC girl. How big was it? Will it fit with a wig cap?

 

Volks MSD wigs generally fit the common MSD :3 I think you'd have to worry most about is the height of DoC heads XD; But since Volks MSD wigs are pretty big, I don't think you'll have a problem with your girl wearing them

I have used Volks wigs on my DoC girl. For the most part, they are fairly loose, but that can be solved with a wig stopper.

RE: Gotcha. Yeah, I didn't see anything on the Volks website that stated anything as to how many people would win, or how many of those grab bags were available. Kind of cool that they keep you in suspense. *laughs*

 

Hi Barb!! I just re-read my confirmation note from Volks and they say all items will be shipped together. The examble they give is actually Pearl and wigs. So I guess that means a longer wait.

Wow, UPS shipped faster than I imagined! I was just expecting a book order today, and the poor delivery guy was trying to open a stubborn gate with a book box and a large doll box! Just a tip-off to the one-off winners, they might be arriving sooner then stated. XD

My wig grab bag set is pretty awesome, a nice mix of colours (including a navy one), and pretty even between long and short styles. No doubles, so perhaps we don't have to worry as much about getting all of the same wig.

I have to go buy batteries now. xD;;

 

Oh that is so nice to know Cerine! I should be getting mine today sometime so I'm anxiously waiting to see what I get...I just love getting a package in the mail!

 

I'm glad to see people are getting a variety of styles and colors. I can't wait to get mine! I might be willing to buy one of the wigs you got Jinjur depending on what I get. Mine arent schedualed until Dec 2 though

 

If I get any girly wigs in my MSD pack I'm willing to trade for boyish wigs.

 

Wow oh wow these are some great wigs! I'm blown away with what I got for the price. Although I'm only keeping the long ones, I've sure got some lovely boy wigs to trade! Yah, Volks!!

 

Has anyone gotten a DD sized box yet? I'm dying to know what's in them, and mine won't be here until Tuesday if the tracking is right.

 

Wow those are lovely, I'm so excited! My friend and I have been looking out our windows every 10 minutes, we're both expecting wig deliveries today. I hope they deliver the wigs before I have to catch the train! >.<

 

Awesome...I just got my wigs and I am very pleased with my selection and can in fact use every single one as they are indeed quite the variety of colors and styles! I even got a couple of two-toned wigs (one for a boy and one for a girl or for both), one with long blonde braids, a cute silver/white blonde boy wig and a really long gorgeous light golden brown colored one This is a happy day!

 

Roweena - Did your wigs come in an oversized box? I got mine today too but haven't opened it yet - two toned boy wigs? I hope I get one of those too1

Yes it was pretty large which was unexpected. I hope you get some good ones too...I'm very pleased!

 

I received both SD and MSD bags. It appears I have some of the same wigs as already mentioned/pictured. Actually, I really like all of the wigs, so I'll be doing some playing this weekend.
But a surprise too! Did anyone get anything extra? I also received two pairs of 18mm acrylic metallic eyes; one silvery cat eyes, and one pale silvery blue regular eyes.

Here's a quickie picture of everything. My girl, Volks Rose, is already wearing Item W-47, Col 6 (chocolate brown with tight wavy curls).

Kalani, "brokeness", I understand that very well! I ended not spending money on something else, so I had a few extra dollars. Based on what Volks had written on the web dolpa page, I wasn't sure if Volks would allow entry for more than one grab bags; but I figured I'd take a chance just to see what might happen. I'm really happy with the wigs.

I just got my wigs today and I think I got a great selection! I even got an "extra" - a wig cap. Anyone else get any extra items?

Has anyone received any of the FCS wigs? I was confused at first when I found one in my bag, since the rest were in the shiny plastic display boxes. xD; I know I'm going to keep two for sure, which is really good considering how random the picking process is! No extras, but the deal with the grab bag makes up for just about everything. ;3

The only thing weird I noticed is the navy wig has a strong smell, but I think that's likely due to the dye they had to use for it. It's a lovely colour, though, almost with a purplish tint depending on the light.

 

I just walked about three miles in the rain to pick up my wigs. I had them shipped to my husband's work, because UPS delivery is hit-or-miss at our apartment, but it turned out that he didn't have to work today of all days. When I saw that my wigs were delivered though, I knew that that I couldn't wait until Monday. Boy, did his boss look confused when I showed up at the office asking about my box.

I'm glad that I didn't wait though, because I'm really happy with my lot. I was hoping for some dark brown girl wigs for my Emma and got two beauties, plus a cream wig that's great for my Carol (although I have one that similar, so may be trading it) and a pearl W-55 that I'm keeping for my dream doll that I hope to get someday -- a BW F-16. The only one that won't work is the strawberry blond W-85 boy's wig, so over to the trade thread with it. Anyway, here's a pic of my haul:



Snowleopard -- I'm so glad that you got some eyes too! Oh, and I'm definitely open to a local wig trade if I don't trade mine here.

Cerine - It's nice to hear that someone got an FCS wig and I can't wait to see a picture of it!

 

I got my box. Two long obviously girlie wigs, and two shorter ones. One is blonde, the other is redish, and I think an FCS only color. NONE of them work on my boys, and I will be putting them up for trade in the trade thread.

Well, what do you know? I came home from work early, and I got my package in the mail.



Here's Hazel and Mini-Me Lady Saiyan in suspense as to what wigs have arrived in the mail. Alas, only Mini-Me Lady Saiyan will fit into them.

The wigs that were in the package. So far, only one wig seems to suit Mini-Me Lady Saiyan. However, let's not judge things too quickly.



Let's start off with the long white hairstyle. Hmm... kind of gives her the Kanna look, if she were to cosplay as her.



Next, we have the strawberry blond J-Rock hairstyle. Kind of makes Mini-Me Lady Saiyan look older than her age. The wig feels really rough... like someone with really dry hair.



Third is the blond bubble hairstyle. Can we say early 1960s theme here?



Last, but not least, the raven colored, emo/ pageboy hairstyle. Quite frankly, I can't imagine Mini-Me Lady Saiyan in another hair color than black. *shrugs*

 

Has the hair got a stiff or slightly waxy feel to it? If so, then definitely put a wigcap underneath it. I have seen more than one dark blue or black Volks 'wet-look' (or semi-wet-look) wig, with a particular odd smell, stain a doll's forehead. I don't know if it's the wet-look treatment, or nonfast dyes in the band, or what, but watch out. (Beware Hewitt II's and Shiro 2's wigs, too, btw.) This has been a public service announcement.



PS @ crpsaiyan, tell Mini-Me that she looks tougher than Joan Jett in that strawberry-blonde shag. Happenin'!

 

Unfortunately there's only one that my friend got that I remotely like. >: Ah well...gotta take chances. XD

 

This is so fun! I've already traded 2 of my wigs - I'm having a blast with these gift bags!

 

I got my wigs yesterday after work, but since it was already dark I waited till this morning to take pictures. Malach reluctantly agreed, since he is the one they best fit on. Please ignore his lazy eyeness, his normal wig covers his right eye so it doesn't matter if it matches his left perfectly.


W-4N ....... Color 100


W-15N ....... Color 613 This wig had issues from the moment I took it out of the box. First some of the hairs where coming out of the braid and then the elastics holding the braid dissolved, so I had to rebraid it and use my own elastics. Though I did take a picture of Malach with it unbraided and will post it if people want to see it.


W-85N ....... Color B6 This one surprised me with just how good it looks on him. I might keep it, though I never thought of Malach as a blonde.



W-114N ....... Color 2 This one is not modeled by Malach because Austin has claimed it for himself.

 

I got the msd wig bag It's in customs right now. I'll post pics when it gets here!

 

I picked up my DD grab bag today. I actually ended up trading most of it with the person who bought an SD bag right after I started looking at my wigs. (I think she bought? Might have also been a pick up.) We ended up trying a bunch of our wigs on the shop dolls, too. I don't know when I'll have pictures though, since finals are evil.
