Dolls Party 23 Tokyo Big Sight [5-4-2010]

I want to enter the lottery for Chika, but I will be moving very soon... does anyone know how Volks handles this, since the dolls do not ship for awhile?

In the info for the lottery they say they can not accept changes to the order, including address changes...

 

well if u are moving out of japan u'll need to enter for the internationl lottery via volks USA i think unless u can get someone locally to hold and ship the doll for you....

I've had this problem; I put down my work address and received the doll at my workplace, so if you aren't changing workplaces it seems like a good option.

Or, some other friends have had their dolls shipped to me because they couldn't receive it at their homes, so you could try sending the doll to a trusted friend or relative's address and then picking it up from them later on.

I think the idea of not changing the address is so you can't scalp the doll before it's even arrived at your doorstep.

Can overseas people (ie people that don't live in Japan) participate in the AE?
The AE is usually through the Japanese site, right? Or both the USA and Japanese sites?

 

Both the Japanese site and the International site should have their own individual After Events, where Japanese residents are restricted to the Japanese site and overseas people are restricted to the International site. Neither site has specified the dates yet.

Hubby let me enter the lottery for Chika. If I get her she will be my very first Volks Resin doll and my only Volks faceup. I have several of their 1/6th dollfie and a Dollfie Dreams but I did all their faces and they are not resin. I am sooo excited I hope I get her. I already have all kinds of plans for the cute stuff I will make/buy her.

ok settle down the chances of me getting her are pretty slim, but it is fun to imagine anyhow LoL

 

Arrghh.. looks like Chika is a really popular entry. I also tried for her . . . I can only hope I guess. (and pray T-T )

 

I entered the lottery (on the VolksUSA site) Tuesday, EXACTLY at 2pm for Sakura and Alna ^__^
I don't have any Dollfie Dreams and I fell in love with these two as soon as I saw them. ^^
Since they don't seem to be as popular as the regular Super Dollfies, I'd say I have a somewhat
slightly higher chance of obtaining them.

 

I would on the USA site, but Kerby Lane and WLD will let me do layaway. Well, Kerby Lane says 30% down as does WLD, but WLD does let you layaway whereas Kerby Lane wants it paid off when they come in. The USA Volks Site wants it all now, which I don't have...

 

I put in for Chika, too! Man, come on Volks, be nice!!! (Or, if Doll Gods, if you know someone even more amazing is coming down the line, please let me lose.)

 

Rynn007 layaway is a big plus especially with the pricier dolls. I also put in for Chika but I am not holding my breath. Not to be negative but I dont usually have much luck with the lottery.

I woke up at 7:20am this morning and wasn't sure if California was behind or ahead of EST... I assumed ahead for some sleep deprived reason and that I had minutes to order.

I ended putting in for both Ran and Chika. Chika seems very popular, and I know there are plenty of Ran fans! I think they're both precious.

@wjsdpwl: I believe that's the Short Shaggy wig, which you can get through the FCS.
I think it's also a standard wig.

 

Thank you for letting me know! I checked angelden, but I couldnt find the right color for this wig. Does anyone know what color is this wig?

 

I THINK that's the Natural Gold color, #27 or #4/27 on the FCS. It could be either, but I'm leaning more towards Natural Gold. Dark Brown is too dark for that color.

 

It actually looks like it is the 350 wine brown colour, which is a reddish brown.

It bothers me that Volks hasn´t released any infos how to obtain Ran if you are from europe and other countries who will have to order through the volks.co.jp/en site. Normally they had the after events there, too.
I´m starting to lose hope because the after event on the USAwebsite has been over for some days and there is still no new information on the volks.co.jp/en site if there will also be a lottery etc. >.>

Does anyone know something about this?

 

There was an AE on the US site? But there the Japanese AE isn't even until the end of the month O_O.

VolksUSA has its own lottery for people who live in North America that every single Dolpa runs concurrently with the actual Dolpa in Japan. People who live in North America find out the results of this lottery usually within a week of the Dolpa. It is NOT an After Event.

I am sure there will be an After Event even if Volks has not announced the dates yet. There is always an After Event for those who live in Japan/outside Japan and were unable to make it to the Dolpa, I think you're just going to have to be patient until said dates are announced, I would think it will be some time in late May or Early June though.

Actually, they've announced it on the Japanese site:
http://www.volks.co.jp/jp/event/dolpa23/index.html and while there is nothing officially up on the English site it will be the 29th and the 30th of May, the same as the Japanese AE. You will need to wait to see what dolls will be available and the wait times for them. Sometimes the DDs are not available because of licensing issues.

 

Has anyone heard anything about the Volks Lottery dolls yet. Either from the dealers or Volks? I'm very anxious.

 

Volks should be announcing results on May 14th, like they said in their instructions. As for the dealers, they'll most likely be announcing results anytime soon.

 

I asked one and she said hopefull this week. I hope it's soon, as I really want Chika!

 

Volks USA store said in their lottery instructions that they might be sending emails out this coming Friday to lottery winners & nonwinners. If this schedule has changed please check Volks USA website and let us know of changes.

OMG this is killing me. The first time I convince hubby to let me enter is because Lil Chika looks so much like my daughter that they could be twins. I have been hoping and praying and wishing since I entered the lottery. I really hope there are a lot of them available if not enough for everyone.

I am not really a fan of Volks resin sculpts so when one comes up that I like I get obsessed over it. If I win, Chika will be my first Volks doll with a Volks faceup as well as my first Volks resin angel. I have a Dollfie Dream and several of their 1/6 dollfies but no volks resin. Soo excited I think I may pass out LOL.

When I got my lottery confirmation for HTDolpa7 (Okita), that came from Volks around 6:30 their time. I heard from WLD about 8:30 central the day before the VolksUSA lottery results, but that was my first lottery so I don't know if those times were standard or unique.

At least we can flail here together until the emails come for good or for ill?

 

well, I have put in with BOTH WLD and Kerby Lane, and heard nothing. Rochelle said it was a bit unusual.

 

I decided to forego all the anxiety these Dolpa lotteries give me and I got Hewitt and Kakeru on Y!J as a present to myself, since i am no longer going to Dolpa. The yen has gone down some, so it wasn't even that painful. Good luck to everyone waiting to hear. As I recall I have always gotten my email around 5:30 EST.

 

My problem with YJ is I do not know Japanese so I couldn't find them if I tried.

 

You have to use a service like Rinkya or Crescent. I use Rinkya all the time they are awesome!!!!

WLD will let you know one way or the other. KL will not contact you if you did not win. Neither will VolksUSA.
