Dolls Party 23 Tokyo Big Sight [5-4-2010]

Well, it seems like all of us got the same issue of checking out the AE items!!
I being trying for the past 3 hours (Asia timing)

My items are still in my cart but i can't just check out nor make any payment to my items!! *Start to Worry*
I just hope the items don;t suddenly pop empty in the shopping cart!! T__T

 

Well, its been over 4 hours now and I'm still sitting here with items in my cart and unable to check out or pay for them. I'm wondering if I should give up????

Ok, doubt solved TT... i lost all my items because inactivity .... leaving your browser opened without inactivity got you out of their system and make you lost all you have in your cart TT ... damned volks... i hate you =.= .

 

Payment page is finally working ^_^;;;; Paid for my order T_T

 

Well, after 5 1/2 hours I finally got thru the shopping cart process and actually made it thur the payment process to the order confirmation page..... I even have now received a confirmation email. Now I can go to bed....

 

I finally got my order through. I pretty much got everything that I wanted. But my poor wallet, it is crying. D=

 

Yeah, the same thing happened to me. That's the last time I try an on-line AE. That was completely ridiculous. ~.~

 

Aw, that sucks that people lost items! I wish Volks would do lotteries on the clothes again.

 

Ugh! I had the three outfits I wanted in my cart but I could never get to payment page and then I had to leave for work...so once again I got nothing from the AE. At least this time I was able to put something in the cart, last time I couldn't even do that!

 

Oh yes, lotteries on the clothes would be way better than those server crash scenarios we now always have whenever the Tenshi-no-Sumika items are released.

 

I guess I can try with a dealer...that seems to be my only luck.

 

I lost everything in my cart too.....this after event is not working for me......

 

My stuff disappeared too! G'ah! Left it took long I guess but it couldn't be helped. I guess there is always the US AE.

I did manage to get 2 things that I wanted though (that didn't sell out) and along with my magnets.

 

Congradulation to people who manage get through the paying process....I have no luck...
Anyway, I think I can save for USA AE....

 

I went through to check what's left from the AE, so if you are still looking for any of these, you probably can get them without any issues with the server. Shouldn't be too many people on to get stuff now.

heheh i guess i got lucky then i tried this morning but couldn't get through the payment system and tried again after a gruelling 12 hours of workto find that the set i wanted was still in stock (the caramel antique cape set)
but i guess i am going to be sorry for my lucky shot when the set hits dutch customs

That's really nice! If anyone else is interested, proshoppingjp has Chika and Kakeru's outfit as well as other outfits up. Of course, the price is higher.

I often by from her but the mark up just kills me. I usually wait until all hope is lost before I pay double the price. I have never had luck with the AE event.

 

I feel AE this time is specially difficult to get what you want to get. >_< I have no luck in lottery and sumika items...

 

so i've been super busy with finals, but thought I should mention that on my first lottery ever, I won Kakeru! My 1st doll to keep (I paid for 1 once (a Yoko DDdy), lol, and my friend paid for this one-he was like I'm buying you a what? maybe he'll buy one next!) Woo!

I wasnt a fan of his outfit, but I have NO doll clothes lol, so I hope my sister will reconsider her flat out no of sharing Ken clothes with me as a temporary fix, esp since I actually won him...and my ex and current girlfriend arnt sharing either...at least I have a few months before I get to pick him up!

It was my first time purchasing from that site, so I hope I filled in all the info correctly, like my address and things. I thought that I should have waited for the sale at the Torrance store, but I might want to save my "one item per person first" for something else!

arrex - Nope, Volks had never released any numbers concerning limiteds. It's how they roll.

And you're welcome, hallette. I usually troll on the Volks international site to see if they restock on limited sets after every AE. I'm glad it helped you get that outfit that you wanted.

By the way this is my first time to win an International AE lottery.

 

Imagine if they did! People would stock up on popular dolls or production limited dolls and leave the other dolls hanging.

I also like to add that, in my opinion, Volks doesn't want to reveal their numbers because they want their customers to appreciate the intrinsic value of the dolls. If numbers of how many batches are sold, then some of the dolls that they make can be sold very high on the second hand market (hence, scalping). People wouldn't really entirely value the dolls because of their sculp and design but also they would factor in the "rarity" or the monetary worth of it. I believe I've read somewhere that Volks wants people to value their dolls because of their unique design/etc. and not because of monetary value. Please note that this is all my speculation. Not disclosing their numbers in producing the dolls can also be purely business based.

 

Any news on when the dolls will be shipped from Volks USA? I'm expecting Ran. Hoping it wil be soon.

Any news on DP23 lottery orders? Volks stated they would start the delivery from early August, but I haven't got any update till now. My white rabbit was shipped days ago so I assumed the shipment from Japan have arrived already, right?

 

I wish I knew. I'd love to get my birthday gift to myself...even though now it'll be late as mine is tomorrow.

Ah, I got mine through We Love Dolls, and I thought it was early August, but late is ok too. ^^

 

I think Volks must have edited the order pages because when I ordered Chika, the page had said "early" August. But whatever, I guess a couple more weeks won't matter.

 

Yeah, I remember seeing early August too when it was up for discussion.

 

I got mine through WLD too. It's ok for me that they postponed the delivery, just thought they should have let us know.
I was getting anxious because about two weeks ago, I got an email from WLD saying the doll would be shipped late July or early August, and nothing happened then.

 

I have an email indicating late august by Volks "The shipment schedule for these items is around late August 2010 and..." I don't know about the stores.

 

Did you email them asking, because I never got that email.

 

In the email that I got saying I won Chika it's written that they will deliver in late August. So it they changed the date, they would have changed it 3 months ago.

 

Ok late August is fine then. Just want to make sure I'm not the only one who is waiting.
The delivery date I heard from WLD is early August, consistently. I think they mixed up the shipment schedule.

@Rynn007: yeah I did, they said volks had to reunit the dolls so it took some more days.

 

I won Chika through WLD and I was told that I would receive her late August.

 

I won MDD Maria and I've heard late August too. Hopefully we'll be hearing from them soon, I really can't wait until Maria arrives!

I emailed Volks USA and asked if they had any updates on when the limited items might be shipping out (anxious for ALNA to arrive). Will update with any reply.

Thanks for the update, this means the Kerbey Lane orders should ship soon. I believe Volks ships their store orders first then ships dolls to retailers.
