I won Ran! Really didn't think I would, kind of - want her so much - but don't get your hopes up too high. But I got her!!

If anyone lost out on Chika, as of yesterday, Kerby Lane said they had some, and maybe some yo boys as well...But they might be gone now.

 

One out of 22 not getting her, pretty good percentage I would say ^^

She is lovely so I don't care if she was a leftover.

 

So who is planning on entering for items in the After Party? I'm planning on entering for several dresses and a pair of those DD Headphones. ^_^ Now, for the After Party, do you 100% get what you entered for, or is it still a raffle thing?

 

Me! I'm trying for Hewitt again in the After Event. Hopefully I'll have better luck then. I'm not even going to bother trying for clothes or accessories since I think those are still the first come first served madness.

 

Exactly how does the afterevent work? Does Volks USA have one too?

 

For dolls, it's a lottery. But for clothes and other items, it's first come first serve.

Ok. So how do I log in? I see no way on their site to log in at all.

 

The way I usually log in is from their Q&A links at the bottom of the page on the international site. One should say "How do I log in?" or something like that. Just click that and follow the directions.

Alright, so I have a question. For the After Event, can you apply for both the Limited items and Tenshi no Sumika items at the same time (same order?) Or do you have to do it separately?

Congradulation for people who win dolls
I am now waiting for the After Event for DP23. Hope I can get the doll I want!

 

The Limited Items are via lottery so you apply for those.

The Sumika items are first come/first serve so there is no applying, it's a matter of who gets lucky and the servers being up and how popular something is in the mad dash to try to get it.

 

A question to anyone who attended the Dolpa: Do you know about what number Kakeru sold out at? I've got a friend on the fence about going for him right now, especially since lately YoSDs are available well after the event at sumikas, but I had the impression Kakeru sold fairly briskly.

 

Does anyone know when we're going to be charged for winning entries? I looked around the instructions listed on VolksUSA but I didn't see anything.

 

My confirmation email said this:
"We plan to begin processing payments for these items on May 21st."

However, in the last event I bought a lottery doll from them, I think I remember them being a bit later charging the money than their estimated date.

 

Yes this is true...they seem to charge a few days after the date specified.

 

I really want some of the outfits and I am going to try the After Event but last time I couldn't even get the items into my cart they were selling out so fast! I was able to snag Kakeru's outfit on Y!J and one other SD outfit, but I have not seen the other outfits I want at all for sale on Y!J.

 

I wish I knew how to look for the outfits, as I really want Chika's!

I don't know for sure, but I am guessing that the Chika outfits haven't been available to anyone yet so you won't find them until after the after event. Also I would check Rinkya. Her web site is set up to help with the searching. You may have better luck if you weren't already using her.

 

They were released in Japan. Can you search in English on her site? Can't with Crescent.

 

Who are you signed up with when shopping on Y!J???

 

Oh, okay, I guess you are with Crescent. I have always preferred Rinkya. You can do all the searching and bidding yourself. You can even translate all the pages and set up searches like "VolKs Super Dollfie All Items" or "Dolpa Items". I have not seen Chika's outfit since the first week of release. I bought Kakeru's outfit but there were very few. I suggest you sign up with Rinkya if you are having trouble elsewhere.

 

All you need to do is copy and paste the name of the outfit from the Japanese Dolpa website and then paste it into the y!j search. It's not hard at all.

 

yes you can search Rinkya in english. but as with any translation it isn't always the most accurate.

 

I also search easily in English on crescent
But Kim is correct, copy paste is the most efficient and gets the best result.

 

International AE lottery results are out. I won Chika.

Same here. It went into my cart and then server error. Before I knew it, it sold out within minutes!

 

Mine never got that far. I would click to get it in the cart and server errors out the backside. I dunno why I even bothered. I knew it would do that, but I had hoped it wouldn't, since I wasn't on dialup now.

 

I suppose some people have really really fast internet service or use a program to manipulate it.

 

Dang it I forgot the time difference between the US and Japan. I missed the outfits. By the time I got there Chika's outfit was sold out. So irritating. I wish Chika just came with her outfit. I will just have to wait for Volks USA to get it. I won Chika and now she needs her outfit lol ARGH!

I think it also depend on the server load. Your internet speed is not the only factor. If too many people try to access and overload the server, some people will be dropped.

Yup. If you open another internet browser, you'll find out that the outfits were long gone.

Edit: Also, programs that can manipulate websites can lead to server crashes I believe. sighs...

 

I wsh we could get DSL or something here...but it's satellite or dialup. Cable runs down my road, but they ended it before the road ends...and there are MORE houses on my end than the end it runs down!

 

I wish they included the yo outfits with the dolls, like they do MSD and up...I wanted the outfit too for my Chika, Koko.

Same here ... i'm used myself to the AE but this time is getting frustratring ... maybe i'm some kind of masochist XD but i'm counting my server errors pages... 75 so far ... and like all of you ... the problem is when trying to make the second step.. confirming the payment.

The funny thing is that a friend of mine just made a test trying to buy another outfit for checking my payment problem (Plum Blossom Dress / SD Girls, SD13 Girls ) and she had no problem at all into passing the pages for the payment OO and her connection is slower than mine.. no server error nowhere >< .

Maybe just a problem with the most wanted outfits Oo ??

 

*waves to everyone* Yeah ... I'm in the same boat as everyone else. I can see all my items in my shopping cart but can't check out. I've even gone to try and add other items and I could with the limited stuff staying in my cart.

Why can't they just have an error of "It's gone. Give it up and go to bed."

 

If they are in your cart... then leave the browser opened and come back later.

Last time, it crushed on me right after I entered all CC info. Then when Volks came back - they processed the order and the outfits were shipped to me

DO not give up if they are in your cart.

Not in cart - is another story, but if they are in cart, do not give up

Negative here too. I've not done a AE recently, but it use t be the hard part was getting it in the cart and now it feels like paying is the next to impossible task. *sighs*

Just got back from the Lalaport Sumika. I drew #12 (Dood!) so had my pick, but I didn't have much money so I just got the YoSD boy outfit and the SD13 girl undies set. Hewitt 3rd sold out at about #30 and Alna right after that, but I think Ran and Kakeru might have been left over when they finished going through the line. I don't think I heard Chika's name I'm not sure how she sold.

Of COURSE I draw a great number the time I don't plan to omukae . . . Not that I'm complaining, getting to go right in, buy what you want, and be out of there in 30 minutes is a nice way to do an AE! (Usually I hit the register at about 1-2 pm -_-; )

Hang in there, guys, you should get through eventually O_o.
