Hi there! I'm trying to order a local group order amongst friends through Dollmore... the only thing is, I keep having problems. First thing is I get exactly 44 items (doesn't matter which ones) in the shopping cart using Safari on my Mac... then I get an error when I try to add one more saying "Bad Request - Your browser sent a request that this server does not understand." I typically have to restart my computer before I can browse Dollmore, View My Wishlist, or Access the Shopping Cart after that. So I figured maybe it's my browser. I used Mozilla Firefox next. It let me put in exactly 24 items (again, didn't matter which) before it just stopped adding things to the cart. This seemed slightly more normal than the error message of doom and got me wondering if maybe there's a shopping cart limit? So I tried IE on a Windows PC. It let me put in exactly 29 items. I was confused because if the shopping cart had a limit... why would it be different per browser? So I tried Google Chrome, also on a PC. It let me put in 24 items. So I was wondering... does Dollmore have a shopping cart limit or am I just having technical difficulties with their site? If they have a shopping cart limit, how many items is it limited to? And if I wanted free shipping and my order is big enough... but it cannot fit into one shopping cart, will they combine my orders and give me the free shipping anyway? Or would I need to ask them to on the Q&A? I've been trying to order all day and I'm getting mildly frustrated. Can anyone enlighten this first time Dollmore buyer? Or at least direct me to a thread that is enlightening, since I couldn't find my answer through a search?
Hihi~ Dollmore definitely has a shopping cart limit. Once the cart stops taking items, you should follow through the ordering process and submit that order. Repeat the process and be sure to make a note in the comment box that you would like the orders combined into one for free EMS shipping. Jee will then send you an invoice with the combined total of your shopping carts.
Hey there, I'm running a Dollmore GO at the moment, and was just doing a mock up of my current orders to see what the shipping price would be... However, I've reached a bit of a problem and it's something I'd really like to get solved before I make the final order. I've placed about 23 items in my cart so far (not including doubles) and for some reason I cant add any more. When ever I click 'Add to Cart' on a new item, the price nor order list doesn't update, even after clicking 'recalculate'. I can however add in multiple quantities of the same item already on the list successfully. Can anyone tell me why this is, and how to avoid it when it counts?
Hiyas. This is actually a frequent issue people seem to have with Dollmore when doing group orders. You have to create multiple shopping carts and have them combined manually by Jee, who will send you a PayPal invoice minus the cost of EMS is your order reaches the goal for free shipping or inclusive of the shipping fee if your order falls short of the goal.
OH dear, I was hoping it wouldn't come to that.. But at least I know its normal. Thanks very much for the help!
I have a similar problem... i add things to my shopping cart and the when i enter again to the site the items has gone hehe.. and i had to sdd the items again... so i think the shopping cart system of dollmore is bad... and is not a problem of the buyers.
that's just a matter of the cookies for the site not lasting very long. Many companies with shopping carts do this to avoid items being left in there for ages when they could be sold to someone else. I would suggest using their wish list if you want to keep note of everything you want to order from them.
This is what I found out... Sometimes the items in the cart seem to be missing because "the Dollmore link is changed"... While accessing the site, there are 2 links : http://www.dollmore.net and http://dollmore.net - They are one and the same, but the cart in www.dollmore.net is different than the one in dollmore.net - Do I make sense? XD; Whenever I have things in my cart, and add one more, then suddenly the cart's contents are missing, I know I have to change the url (add or remove the www prefix). ^^;; On a more fortunate side... this is quite helpful if you have a lot of things (more than 23 items). You can have 2 carts. XDD Try it. It's funny. Hahah... XDD I wonder how it happens but it just does.
Does it charge you separately for the two carts when you do this little trick (like do you get two invoices, that sort of thing)? Do you have to pay the shipping on both or ask them to combine the orders into one?
Nope... ^^ After you check out, don't pay. You will receive 2 separate order numbers. Then ask in the Q&A Board for combined shipping fee. Dollmore will then send you 1 invoice, combining the 2 orders including combined shipping fee for both. ^^
Another dollmore ordering question...how do you track your order? When I click the EMS link in my email they sent me to confirm shipping it takes me to some admin page or other. I tried going to EMS's main site too, with no luck...
Do you put the waybill number as the item number in track-trace.com or...? How does that work? The actual order number?
This thread was very informative, but I must just be technological impaired because if my sister was not right there to walk me through this I would have ended up with the same order like eight times. Now that I am really getting into this hobby it helps to have somebody their with me . Thanks Carmarilla!!!!!
Oh good, I'm not the only one trying to figure out Dollmore's ordering system. Anyone know when/if they will send a paypal invoice?
Have sort of similiar problem with DollMore...we have been corresponding with JEE (?) regarding placing an order,,, when we 1st spoke to her it was to be a layaway... now we are going to pay the full amount. But have not been able to get them to understand that this is now NOT a layaway, but a purchase and have added things like normal hands and flat feet and sanding service. We were told this morning layaways do not qualify for free shipping, not matter how much you add to the order...But it's not a layaway now. And at over $724 we should qualify for the free shipping. What I'm worrying about is the free shipping will take a year and a day to get here so it might just be better to PAY for the EMS and get the order here that much faster. But I still have not been able to get JEE to understand what we want to do with the order and what we want. And I am at my wits end trying. The language filters must the simply awful as only a few snipets of what was written are actually getting translated correctly. Does anyone know of a translation service that can help or have any suggestions? Anything will be greatly appreciated. MasterJinn
MSN, I think.... we just installed Safari as I.E was locking up and now we are getting bounced from Safari, so I guess it's back to I.E. and our old msn account. MJ
Hahaha, I feel dumb for asking this, but I just put in an order for a Zaoll Muse and I selected PayPal. I don't understand this bit: "** In the case of selection the Paypal payment, Please wait a little bit, Dollmore will send you a invoice via paypal.^^" JUST TO MAKE SURE - They're gonna send me an invoice via paypal, right? Well, wondering how they're gonna get my e-mail address or should I just go ahead and send them the full amount to [email protected], right?
The email address you use to register must also be your Paypal account. >.> Or you can write in their Q&A Board and give them your PP address for the invoice. It would be better to wait for the invoice... it's easier for them to check on payments, too. ^^
I thought so! I wanted to make sure before I did that, not be all "LOL HERE YOU GUYS" and send money with confusion. Wrote on the Q&A board so yes. And I got a response from Dollmore real quick. So now the waiting game.
