Payment Dollmore Order Question

Feb 16, 2009

    1. I'm so very, very confused about this. I've searched for threads, but have found none.

      I may be being very stupid;;;;

If I order $900 of stuff, then my 'points' comes up to 10.00. This is when 'points' are usable. Do I then, basically, get $1000 of free stuff...?

Or do I have to order with real money //and// points?!:?

      I'm not sure how this works and can't find any information on DollMore;;

      Thanks in advance;;

    2. oh nooooooooo, that's hilarious, i think you get $10.00 credit, you can use them when you make a purchase, just choose the "use points" option, but i "think" you need to wait for a payment invoice, i don't think it is automatically deducted from the total.

i used mine one time, i had $20 in points credit, so i applied it to cover the cost of shipping. i was paying by paypal, so i posted on the Q&A and requested an invoice to be sent with the point value deducted, it worked out fine.

    3. 1 point = one dollar, so if you have 10 points you can get $10 off your next order if you choose to use it.

    4. Oh I see...!

That makes so much more sense xDD!

    5. I was just allowed to use my points as I had saved up 11 points. It was so great to get $11.00 off the total.

    6. Last night I added a whole bunch of items to my Dollmore shopping cart and then logged off to go to bed.

I just logged back on to Dollmore and checked my shopping cart---it was empty :/

I had 7 articles of clothing, 2 wigs, 1 pair of shoes, 6 mini cookies (:XD:), and a tea set. I don't want to have to keep re-adding the stuff to my shopping cart everytime I log on. I don't even have the money to order the things at the moment but would like to be able to check back every now and again to see if the items are out of stock.

Is this supposed to happen? If not, then I don't know what's wrong... :( Please help me the best you can, this would be my first time ordering from Dollmore and I'm not sure if this was supposed to happen or not (though Idk WHY it would...)

      Thanks =)

    7. I'm not sure if that's supposed to happen, but a way around this is to bookmark all the links to the items you are planning to buy and store them in a separate folder- then when you want to look at them, open them all at once and the 'in stock' status will show- I use Firefox, but I assume most bookmarking functions work the same :sweat ? Good luck!

    8. if you are registered they also have a wishlist feature

    9. Yes, the items will disappear from their cart after a little while. Or at least they always have for me. I recommend the Wishlist feature Meladori mentioned.

    10. It's a bit late to add this comment now I think, but I'd like to mention that I recommend using Internet Explorer (one of the latest versions) to checkout when shopping in Dollmore. If you'll be checking out via Paygate, use IE: Firefox will load a blank page and your order won't go through, or you might even be billed twice. I'm not sure about placing an order and selecting Paypal as payment option, but last time I did try to check out when browsing the Dollmore site in Firefox, my browser went meh (the aforemention blank page) after I selected a shipping option and was prompted to write down my billing/shipping info.

To summarize: signing up for an account at Dollmore and using their wishlist option is the easiest way to keep track of items you want to buy. But once you're ready to order them, do use IE to browse the site and place the order. Paygate has some issues with browsers such as Firefox (not sure about others), but it also seems the site might give you some problems during checkout even if you select Paypal as payment option.

    11. I'm having an issue with Dollmore's shopping cart also. Though, mine's a litle different. I was thinking of running a GO for dollmore, however when I was adding items to my cart just to play around with getting at total of 800 for the free shipping, my cart stopped updating.

It won't add another single thing and I'm only just over half way to the free shipping mark.

I've tried on IE and on Firefox, and both just stop after a certain point for me.

    12. I ran into this same issue when I ran my GO this Spring. each cart would only hold about ten items for me. You'll probably need to submit several shopping carts letting Jee at Dollmore know how many you end up using and ask him to combine all of them into one total to get free shipping on your GO. Don't pay until Jee sends you a Paypal invoice for everything in your order minus the shipping charges. Hope this info helps you, good luck! :)

    13. If you are a registered member of DM using the wishlist would be a safe method:)

    14. Thanks much, I hope it works when I try for my GO,

    15. There is a technical reason for this. I'm a web designer and to be honest, this is not uncommon for e-commerce sites. It takes a lot of space to hold all of the information for all of the items each person puts in their shopping cart so generally once you close your browser, the website's server dumps the information. i'd suggest using the wishlist option instead of the shopping cart. Some sites do hold the information but it's more common for sites to dump the info and save the server space. Hope that this helped explain what happened ;)

    16. I just experienced the shopping cart only allowing so many items (between 10 & 20). I did exactly as Julidc suggested and Jee just combined the two shopping carts and gave me the free shipping.

BTW Jee is super fast at responding, usually within 18 hours. :)

    17. So, I'm bumping this up with a problem.

It only allows so many items, but how do you know when you reach that amount? After I've added a few items, it seems to lock me out of the shopping cart. I can click "Add to Cart" or "Shopping Cart" and it just sits at a blank loading screen. I actually left it up for ten minutes and nothing happened. I don't really know what to do. If it would let me in, I would submit it (even though it's not even half of the stuff) and start a new one with the intention of asking to combine orders. But it just...won't let me through.

Any ideas or words of wisdom?

    18. That sounds like more an issue with your browser than the site. When you reach it's limit, it would usually send you to the shopping cart, where you can see your item isn't added, so you know it's time to check out. I would suggest using a different browser and see if you get the same problem.

Also, in regards to the shipping thing further up, if you are paying by paypal, you can add up the total of all your orders minus shipping, and just send them that amount with the order numbers listed and they will accept it. I usually add in the order comments to combine orders with the other order numbers. You don't even need to send them a message about it, Jee will just send you an order confirmation email once they've accepted your payment. :)

    19. I don't think it's my browser, but I kind of thought of that. So, before I posted in here, my girlfriend and I were fighting with it for at least forty minutes. She tried putting the order in with Firefox(version 3.0.15), I tried with Firefox (version 3.5.5), and then I tried in Internet Explorer 7. It didn't work in any of them. We do not use the same computer.

I tried deleting all my cookies in the hopes that it was somewhere in my browser that made it impossible to finish the order. I checked every time I added something to see if it appeared, and they all showed up just fine...until it stopped loading the cart. If I remember right, I don't think it would even go anywhere at all. (It's been like four hours or something like that...) There really wasn't anything for me to do but close the tabs and the browser and try again.

EDIT: So, I just added stuff to it until it quit loading again. I did remember part of it: once it stopped, it would not let me navigate Dollmore's site anymore. However, I was able to put in a new URL (including Dollmore's, as long as I typed it out in the address bar) and it would let me navigate away from the site, or even to the main page, but even once I got to the main page it would still not let me into the shopping cart.

EDITEDIT: My girlfriend finally got it to work, but I don't remember how. I think it had to do with having a shopping cart open at all times and refreshing it after every item? Anyways, ignore this question. It's taken care of.

    20. Hello. I ordered from dollmore today. I put my items in the cart, then checked out, filled the informations in and then chose "Paypal". After I clicked on OK after that, I got only lead to a white page (I don't know if that's normal) and nothing was happening afterwards. So I checked my e-mail inbox and I got an e-mail from dollmore saying "Thank you for your purchase". But no further information except for the items I bought listed. So then I checked dollmore and my Order Status, at Process it says "receipt of credit payment". I don't know what that means. And to be honest, I don't know what to do now. Will I get an e-mail with their paypal information? Or do I have to pay through paypal NOW without any further details? I don't want my order to get canceled. It's my first time buying from dollmore. Could someone tell me what to do please? :?

    21. No this is normal with Paypal, it scared me the first time too. What Dollmore does when you use Paypal is they will send that first email which you already received saying, "Thank you for your purchase," then in a little while they will send you another email that says, please send payment to "___", after you make the payment you will get an order number and conformation. They aren't going to cancel your order, they are just a little slow with paypal sometimes (I sometimes prefer to just use credit/debit cards with them for this reason, its immediate and it can cut a couple days off the waiting time).

    22. thank you. but does that mean i have to wait a few days until i can pay? i wanted to order now because the xmas event ends on 31th...does it count to the event when i order or when i pay?

    23. sorry double post accidentally

    24. I'm sure you'll be fine. I have just got my Paypal invoice through, so you will get yours before 31st.

    25. hm i hope so as well, thank you. may i ask when you ordered?

    26. I orderd from them yesterday and have just got my Paypal invoice. It always takes longeer if you order when the office is closed but I have been buying from them for ages and they are very reliable. If it doesn't come through today, email them and theye'll sort it out.:)

    27. i purchased from Dollmore twice...it was ok...just send the payment to paypal...i usually then confirmed them about my payment...although they must have known already about it...

I don't really-really consider the email...as long as I've paid my order...I also have a receipt proof from paypal...so I have no worry at all...their status "received the payment" is a little bit weird, right?...but it doesn't mean you have paid actually...i think it was their kind of default status when order is received...(^.^)'''...

i'm not bothered with it...(^.^)...and i never waited until a few days to pay my order, waiting for their email or whatsoever...because i already got my bill and send the money to their paypal email...

what i'll be waiting is the email when I purchase with register shipping (non ems)...they need to calculate the register fee since it's not in their system...but with EMS, no...i just go for it...

I purchased twice: 1 with EMS,1 with register shipping...and i will purchase again from them...

    28. ok thanks for the info! i really wanna get it done before the event ends, and the time difference doesnt really help either...

i see thanks, ok i will consider that. do they ship it faster when i pay now without waiting for the email? also it says "receipt of credit payment" at process but i dunno what that means :/

    29. They usually send you the email asking for you to pay within the day you ordered or the day after. If you don't get one by then I would write to them on their Q&A board (thats the fastest way to get a hold of them, they're always slow to respond to emails). They ship VERY quickly, I usually get my items under two weeks after they ship (Usually one week). I am not sure if they ship faster if you pay before they send you the request email, I have never done it that way just because it seems like it could make things more confusing and open to error. If you are in a real hurry, like I said, I would just pay with a credit/debit card if you are comfortable with that.

    30. well i got the e-mail...but i had the wrong paypal address entered...so in the end i had to pay them just like that via paypal, i sent them an e-mail and wrote it in the note of paypal including my order number. then paypal told me i need a creditcard and now it takes 2-3 days to transfer the money via a bank account because i dont have a creditcard...i wonder if they cancel my order or if i miss the xmas event...*sighs*

    31. Thankyou for asking this question as i am currently going through paying Dollmore with paypal. but i am uncertain if it is payed in USD.

do you know? it would be great and allow me to pay them faster.

      thankyou for your time.

    32. Thankyou so very much. i was part the way through signing in on paypal when i was cofronted with the currency list.*_*

i froze and decided to ask someone first. now i can go ahead and pay for my order.

      thanks again Rynn! :goldstar

      :kitty2 A.R.N.F

    33. You're welcome! Got an order incoming myself...

    34. nice ^^ i hope it all goes well for you ^^

      :kitty2 A.R.N.F

    35. my order got confirmed and the status is "before shipping" since 3 days >_<

    36. does anyone know how long that "before shipping" status lasts? im just wondering why they arent shipping even though they got the money..

    37. I have had mine on "before shipping" since Dec 20th. But they said they would ship this week. I hope... I hope!!! I think it depends on what your ordered, also on there web page says they are closed for the new year holiday 3 days too.

    38. I think it depends on whether they actually have the items available on hand right now right this very minute, and also whether they're actually open (I think they're closed on Sundays).

Depending on the item or items you ordered, the "Before Shipping" status can take from 1 business day to 40 business days (if they have to manufacture a doll after ordering). If you're unsure, you can always ask them over at the Q&A ^_^

    39. Sorry I didn't get back sooner, as I was working....I ordered on 28th Dec, and I have now got:' On shipping':)

    40. thanks, i hope so too!

thank you, i only ordered a few clothes which were in stock, so they should ship soon >_<

    41. hm thats weird...because i ordered on 28th as well..

    42. I ordered from Dollmore on the 2nd of Jan and the 'before shipping' lasted for about a day and a half. it is now saying 'shipment complete' and i received an email confirming that my dollmore stuff is now being shipped to me.

I hope everyone receives their orders soon.

      :kitty2 A.R.N.F

    43. hm i see. may i ask what you ordered? since apparently the waiting time varies greatly

    44. i ordered afew sets of eyes, a wig, some socks, underwear and a pattern book.

some of the things i ordered are for my sister, for the dolls she is going to order at the end of the month.
which makes me glad as i get one of mine at the same time :D

i hope to get her on here soon.

      :kitty2 A.R.N.F

    45. hm i ordered exactly the same, i wonder why yours got shipped so quick and mine didnt..very weird...but thanks for the info! :)

    46. no problem :)

i hope you get your confirmation and receive your items too :)

      :kitty2 A.R.N.F

    47. Yes, maybe different items take different times....I still haven't got an email from them though....

    48. but if the items are in stock they should take the same time..? i dont really understand..oh well i hope i my stuff gets shipped soon...

    49. If you're not sure you could always leave a question on the Q&A board...

    50. i will wait some more and then i might end up doing that

    51. My order shipped and I ordered Jan 1st...so go ahead and ask.

    52. ok i left a msg on their board

    53. now they shipped my items :)

    54. Yey!..........

    55. Okay, so this is the absolute first time I've bought anything through Dollmore directly, and I had the weird blank screen thing happen to me, except, being an idiot, I went back and hit check out again. Does this mean I'm going to have two orders for the same stuff? If so, can I cancel one and pay for the other when the email shows up?

    56. Usually, when it's a weird blank screen, the order hasn't gone through. But if you did accidentally double order, you can cancel one of them. :)

    57. Thanks. I ended up getting two orders, but I left a note in the Q&A section requesting that they cancel the second order. We'll see what happens. Serves me right, I guess, for knowing better than to go back and push the button again so soon, but doing so anyway, XD.

    58. They're actually very good at sorting things out like that I think.

    59. i believe the weird blank page is normal, happened to me too :)
