Dollmore Lusion Discussion - Part V!

I have that new Orgel daish Lusion that looks gothy on layaway XD I fell in love with her when she was first released and since theres only 5 of them going to be made I knew if i put it off I may never get her so i caved for a year long layaway XD I will get her in the end I think that is what should matter. Funny enough she matches this character i have in a story I'm writing. Her name is Penance and she's the daughter of Death. Also other wise known as Mother of Reapers. XD She's gonna be fun.

 

Can you do the year long layaway with dollmore or a doll store, I forget!

Yes you can do a year long layaway from dollmore if you ask for it specially or you can do a year long layaway from Fabric & friends.

People that have the Somnambulinsomnia lusion doll, how are her ears attached are they part of the head or what?

 

The elf ears are a solid part of the head.

I think the orgel daish is her own unique sculpt. She doesn't come as a basic sculpt. Just the basic daish which is different from the Orgel one.

I haven't quite decided if I want to keep my Lusion's dress outfit yet. I need to see it in person and stuff. She is coming with a ton of clothing XD because I wanted to see what works on her truthfully since she firs in with a special story line of mine.

Thanks, Stella! Very nice of you to offer. I've found some online in the color I want (black), but hesitate to buy them since I'm still waiting for my doll. I'm having such fun buying antique and vintage children's clothes for this girl, but trying not to go overboard and buy stuff that won't fit.

I really wish dollmore would offer the elf ears version in white skin.

 

Yeah, Kana's default wig was in pretty bad condition, too. I managed to get the worst of the tangles out and trimmed up the ends to get rid of frays and it looks a lot better now. I really love that glossy white. It's got a beautiful glow to it. But wearing it with that white dress, I think Kana would be hard on the eyes to look at. I'd need shades. lol

Wow, they're all so gorgeous. I've been considering bringing one home but.. Customs in my country is not very kind to Doll people.

 

Perhaps you could find one on the secondary market that is already in the UK?

 

{laugh!} Admittedly it's usually us in the UK that complain about Customs charges on dolls, but I believe that Kthulhu42 is in New Zealand.

Yes, this is correct. Customs here is very strict and they will open boxes if they think the forms are incorrect. They have even searched items on the internet to find their correct worth before if the seller has marked the parcel down "Suspiciously low", so getting dolls can be very challenging, especially if they hold your doll for a number of weeks before even sending out a ransom note.

And this is for dolls only worth $500US or so. I'd hate to see what they would do with a Lusion!

 

What about gifts? Do they charge on packages marked gift?

 

Stalking thread because I've fallen for these big girls and am torn between getting a Lillia or their sibling, Mokashura! Ack, Dollmore! And it seems I'm also stalking Kitty Blue, lol 'waves'

 

Yes, they do, 15% of the price over $110 will be charged customs fees. And for something like a Trinity or Lusion, you would need to pay a biosecurity import fee as well. It's very complicated D:

We get no customs on dolls unless their value including shipping is over $1000. My dolls are always marked down and they have never queried the over 150 dolls I've gotten.

 

Doe Dollmore mark their packages down automatically? And to about how much for a Lusion?? I know my Iplehouse was marked down and I didn't have to pay, but she's much smaller so they probably thought she was just a barbie type doll.

 

They pmarked mine down without my asking. Not so much that it was obvious (the size of the box alone will make them suspicious if the markdown is very low) but enough that the Customs charge was hugely reduced from what it would otherwise have been. I don't knwo if that was just chance, or because they're used to orders form the UK, or they just marked it down to a random amount that turned out to be about the right amount.

I blame KawaiiTsu (but not really) for my doll of the year. My best friend Ehryn and I both purchased a Bie You Tian Di Fei Ren Jian Lillia and we just got our tracking numbers. The girls should be home next week. We're planning on doing a dual box opening.

I can't wait for my Molly to get home, the last time the tracking updated she was going through customs in Melbourne.

 

They definitely mark down. Probably no more than $100. I don't have the box any more though so I can't know for sure

 

I bought a Dahlia head recently, and they marked the value at $20. I didn't ask them to mark it down, they just did it automatically.

 

If all goes well, a Red Riding Hood girlie should stroll in my front door tomorrow, USPS willing!

Hi guys,

Molly and her cousin Poppy just got in and I thought I'd share photos with you guys. The detail in these fullsets is exquisite! I spent a good half an hour marvelling over all the little details while my BFF was eagerly dressing Poppy for photos.

I love them! I want that Lillia fullset so badly. lol These big girls are taking over my collection!

 

I definitely recommend it, it's a gorgeous fullset. Ehryn and I had been waiting for her to come up for sale for months after Dollmore let slip that they were releasing a Lillia fullset. Then we happened to pay them off on the same day and guiltily told each other afterwards, tracking on the same day, arrived on the same day. I think Molly and Poppy were fated to be part of our doll family

 

I have one so-so photo of Dove/Red Riding Hood. There will be more, but I'm still getting to know her and how to handle her. Her rabbit is by me.

I want the elf girl, but I realized the other day I actually want her clothes, hair things, wig and huge elf ears. I don't actually want the NS elf eared doll, and I'm sorry but almost 2,000 is too much to pay for something I wouldn't really be happy about. It makes me sad that they don't have a white skin elf eared lusion.

 

You are very smart to realize that! I love the Elf girl, but the ears scare me.

 

I had been pining for her for a while, but the price and size, kept me a way, even though the price just keep getting higher. I'm going to ask dollmore if they will make an elf eared ws doll.
