Thank you very much for the compliments! Yes, it is Monique wig "Sassy" in brown/black. And Monique shoes - size 64/24 mm. I love Dörtje`s versatile look! Just in one this wig she may look so different.
And my Fränzchen ( Judith Girl Doll - Minuet Eve ; Tara). She is not so versatile, but I`m trying to give different images too:
The Tara probably just needs some more color in her face. I had to do that with mine, cause it's just too light. I put pastels over the existing face-up.
nYID is SD size, so I wouldn't think that size would fit at all. I don't know about JID since my Judith head is on a FMD body. I know my JID boy and MNF boy can't share.
Hmm, good thing I didn't buy from them I guess. So, JID has bigger hips, much bigger neck, Glamour bust is slightly larger, bigger waist, bigger thighs, longer legs. Judith has wider shoulders, ever so slightly longer arms, larger wrists, bigger feet, bigger hands. So looks like as long as it isn't something that should be super fitted, it should be fine.
Here is my suntan Zinna in Iplehouse JID girl jeans and sweater. I can't remember what else fit her but some things will, some things won't.
Aw, thanks! I find I play with her more since I sold her full set. The ones that are still dressed by the company are the ones that just sit on the shelf looking pretty. As soon as I found that silver wig, she said, "Gimme that!" and has been strutting her stuff ever since. It's the only wig that doesn't make her look like a raccoon with that eye makeup.
My friend Olga has 3 JID girls, and sometimes we successfully change dolls` clothes. And also for Zinnas fit Tonner Deeanna Denton dresses and some of Evaneline Ghastly outfits, aspecially stretch.
Oh awesome, yeah I was looking at one of the really tight fitted black assasin suits for jid but the shoulder difference wouldn't work I think. I have a suntan zinna and abosuletly adore her and her fullset. *Edit Just finished Halloween photoshoot with Zinna!
Thanks! I also took some short movie clips and I'm going to try to make a stop motion animation of her. XD
Yeah, pretty excited. Although not sure if my movie program will be compatible :P Here's another shot from the photo session: "Magical Hands"
While it's always a thrill to see great photos, are people aware that we are allowed only one photo per post? The photo galleries are the place to post multiples, or else you can link to them in your Flickr or Photobucket, etc.
Did anyone get some cute holiday photos? I got my new girls a few months ago, but I have been working crazy hours and haven't had time to do anything with them yet. >:
That outfit is just so perfect with her faceup!! I love that wig too, omg. I'm so bad with curly wigs. Dx
Did anyone here buy the one-off Amaranth II Suntan Zinna? She sold fairly quickly. My holiday photos weren't much to look at, so I'm sharing my "Outlander"-inspired Dollpire Roo (Judith body) with SoulKid Yarn.
vermont chick, question about the Roo doll. Is she the Hazy Roo they sold full set? If so, can you show me a close up of her face up?
Vermont Chick; Nope, not me for once. She was pretty much the same one but with the other outfit. And I already have both dolls, so I have both outfits. lol That's hella cute. I love their outfits!
@stellarphenomena - Yes, she is the Dollpire Definition of Hazy Roo. She's really hard to photograph in the full set (too much black) so here's a close-up in a different wig and outfit. She was reclining on a sofa, which is why one arm is up at such a weird angle. I love the yellow Ellowyne Wilde set on your Judith. I have it, too, but never thought to try on one of my Judiths. I'm guessing the dress itself doesn't fit. I usually let one of my MiniFees wear it. Thanks @stellarphenomena and @Kielin on the outfits. They were really fun to make. I've dressed two more dolls in Outlander Scottish style. I'll need to do a photostory or something.
Love her! I think she'd make a great friend/sister. They kind of look alike to me. I'm glad you posted her without all the black, I didn't feel the promo pics were great for that doll. I think the dress may have fit but when I couldn't get the sleeves over her dollpire hands I just didn't want to deal with removing her hands! I love my dolls mouth! As you can see I have moved most of her 'teeth piece' up to give her this look!
@stellarphenomena - I love what you did with the teeth piece. It gives her a very sexy look. Even though Roo is a Kid head, she fits right in with my Zinnas.
Hello! We are here again. Variations on a theme Gray and mauve with Fränzchen: and Dörtje Elverdink: More photos: /threads/gray-and-mauve-part-1-fränzchen.739280/ /threads/gray-and-mauve-part-2-dörtje-elverdink.739282/
Lovely photos of your girls @kurtik, but please be aware of this notice on the list of threads page: "One Image Per Post Please limit images to one per post; link to your Photo Sharing thread if you'd like to show more."
Many thanks! This is Dollmore dress, they sell it in SD size, but for my request they make it in Judith doll size.
@kurtik - Ah, I thought it looked familiar. I had thought of buying that gray dress for my Zaoll Luv. Did you get it recently? I only ask because they posted a notice on October 19th to the effect that they will no longer do custom sizing on doll clothes. They didn't give a reason; I can only assume they received more requests than they could handle. They could at least compensate us by producing more clothing that fits Judith girls.
I`ve made my order befor this Dollmore notice. Now I can only regret, that they don`t custom sizing on doll clothes. I ordered for Judith two dresses: this SD gray and Model doll black. I did the installation "Sin City" with Dörtje Elverdink and Model doll Malli Adelhaid:
I stumbled by accident over dollmore's ballet kid line and I instantly fell in love with it! I'm doing ballett, too, so that was kind of predictable Especially your Zinnas you posted here look beautiful! Thing is I just ordered a Loongsoul SD sized girl fullset (Antje, she is so lovely) and then a YoSD Kids Sky girl, because it was such a good price (116$ with face up instead of 150$ at Alice Collections). So, I really don't have any money left at the moment... But: My birthday is nearing and I told my parents that I wanted the Ballerina Kid Brise Zinna. They agreed so far, but I have not jet told them the price Hopefully they don't withdraw their consent once they hear it. They do know about my expensive hobby here, but they don't understand how anyone would spend so much money on dolls ^^°.
@Miyuki-chan - Good luck with your parents! Ballerina Brise Zinna is lovely. I wish Dollmore would sell ballerina outfits separately from the dolls. My Pirouette Zinna could use a change of clothes!
@vermont chick Yes it worked, I ordered the doll yesterday and my mum will give me the money back (she doesn't have paypal lol). I can't wait to get my hands on her! She will be my first MSD sized doll, so no clothes for her jet. It is sad they don't sell the ballerina clothes separately, I would love to have more of them. Especially, because the shoes she comes with are black and I would like to have them in some colour (pink would be best). I think I will email dollmore about it and ask them if I could pleeease order some ballerina clothes from them
Congrats on the order! MSD is a lovely size, but the ballet legs take some getting used to. I sometimes have trouble posing mine. I bought a lovely stand from Alice's Collections BJD Accessories, Dolls - Alice's Collections. It's called an invisible stand and lets you pose the doll off the ground as if she is in mid-leap. Dollmore does sell the ballet shoes in other colors, but there are no outfits to go with them.
Oh you are right, there are more ballerina shoes, I totaly overlooked them. Maybe I can add one pair to my previous order, I emailed them about it and asked if it was possible to get more ballett clothes. But I think it won't, as they were all limited editions I'm really excited to see these ballett feet, but I ordered a pair of normal feet, too, just in case. And I thought about getting that invisible stand from Alice Collections, though I had hoped the stand dollmore sends with Brise Zinna would be good enough... Do you have any more pics of your ballerina girl, vermont chick, to sweeten my wait?
@Miyuki-chan - I also ordered the normal feet, just in case, but have never used them. Instead I used them on one of my other Judiths for a short time. She's back on her high heel feet now. I was never able to use the stand Dollmore provided. The two pieces didn't fit together. In fact, the upper part doesn't fit the bottoms of any of my other stands. So I figured if I needed to buy a new stand anyway, I'd get a good one. I had to go back to 2015 to find any photos of Pirouette Zinna. I really should take more. Here is a photo of her in a different Dollmore MSD outfit. It's not technically a ballet costume but it was wide enough to accommodate a split. I repainted her shortly after I received her. Her face-up looked beautiful online, but in person the combination of yellow and green made her look like she was recovering from two black eyes. One of these days I'll wipe her and try again to see if I can do better. IMG_9171 by Lorraine, on Flickr
@vermont chick Wow she is so beautiful and the posing is awesome I was a bit nervous because of Zinnas open mouth, but seeing the pictures here have convinced me of it. The only drawback us the tiny bust size they use on their ballerina and kid bodies, a bit more mature like the Judith body would have been even better. On the other hand it must be easier to find clothes for kids bodies than for Judith bodies.
@Miyuki-chan - Thank you! The adjustable tooth piece makes the mouth very versatile. I like the less toothy look myself. I also prefer a slightly larger bust. On the other hand, most professional ballerinas tend to be skinny and underdeveloped so the flat chest actually works. And you're right. It is easier to dress them than the Judith bodies. The only consideration is finding clothes that won't hinder her moves.
@Kielin @vermont chick I asked them if it was possible to buy the other ballerina outfits separately, but unfortunately it isn't. They have a cute ballerina outfit in pink, blue and yellow though on their site. But it is a bit childish and not very elaborate: Dollmore.net :: Everything for Doll & more
It is cute, but like you say, somewhat childish. It looks good on the doll shown, but on a Zinna? I don't know.
I found a ballerina outfit in my clothing stash. It's one I made years ago for a Mini Supia and I was delighted to find that it fits Zinna. (More or less. It rides up when I pose her, so the top ends up hovering above her shoulders.) In the photo below you can see the flexible doll stand from Alice's Collections. I wish it were more invisible. The waist grips are, but that chrome arm doesn't exactly disappear. You can twist and turn it like a goose-neck lamp. I'll have to try a leaping pose. Maybe today as I have some sunshine to work with. IMG_3063 by Lorraine, on Flickr
Your Zinna looks absolutely stunning in that dress and pose! And I suppose I have to get a decent doll stand after all. But maybe after the three orders from Alice Collections I'm currently waiting for have arrived, and a bit of saving so I can add a few clothes and accessories
You might enjoy seeing a photo in mid-leap after I used Photoshop to erase the stand. (I'm noticing that her hands have faded. I might get her some Judith hands to replace them--I like those better.) IMG_3135 by Lorraine, on Flickr
That's a cute outfit! I need to find a nice outfit because I got the one-off ( Dollmore.net :: Everything for Doll & more ) and she didn't come with clothing. I ordered a dress from Dollmore for her last month, but I don't know how well it will fit her character. We shall see. I also ordered a Zinna head and hands for my Tara. Hopefully I will like her more with those.
Thanks @Kielin. The dress is actually a re-working of a Gracefaerie pattern for MSD called Lilac Afternoon. I left off the sleeves (they weren't much to begin with) and replaced the 3-tiered skirt with scads of tulle. The ballet shoes are from Dollmore--of course--and I think the tights were, too, although I can't be sure. Which dress did you order for your one-off?
