Hello all! I'm going to Taipei for a short holiday soon, and I thought I'd try to fit some doll shops into my schedule if there are any to be found. Physical doll stores, I mean: not online sellers. Any names and addresses would be appreciated, thank you. ^_^ Names and addresses in Chinese are great, too, as I do read Chinese. I searched the forum, but could only really find info on Hong Kong. If there is a thread on Taiwan, do let me know. Thanks!
Big thanks to everyone who has replied with help, I'll definitely do my best to find the shops while I'm there. Especially Wingmax's outlets: yay for Volks things! Now I need to decide who to bring with me. Mikaiei, I'm not sure if you've noticed, but Wingmax has a map with English for at least one of their shops, click "Direct Shops".
strange..I clicked on direct shops but I still don't see any maps in English. The closest thing I can see to what you're talking about is this http://www.wingmax.com.tw/images/shop/shop_map_big.gif but that only has the store name in English. Can you give me a link to what you are referring to, please?
Ah, I see the problem: the link to the map was in Chinese. ^_^;; http://www.wingmax.com.tw/event/shop03_060307/shop03_map.htm
Ok..so far I have gone to two of these stores. I made my way to the Pop.jp store in Ximen and the store located at the K-mall next to the Taipei Main Station. To my dismay, neither of these stores had any selection of MSD sized eyes or a decent variety of MSD sized clothes. I think my only hope is at the main Wingmax Hobbyland: http://www.wingmax.com.tw/wingmaxhobbyland.htm#shop01 Unfortunately, I am still unable to read Chinese. Can anyone help me find this place (what MRT stop, what landmark is it near, english map?). I would, again, be greatly appreciative of any help.
Sorry in advance if the translation isn't the best. ^^;It's next to Kingstone bookstore on Ming Shen (?) East Rd, Sec 5, no. 121, on the second floor. It says if you're catching the bus from the Taipei bus station, take 262. From the Songshan station, take 53 or 518. From the rest of the stations, take either 214, 905, 254, 612, 613, 12 or 225. Get off at 瑞祥新村站. Um, I can't figure out how it'd be written phonetically/in English. It doesn't say anything about MRT, so I'm guessing there's not a stop close by. Hope this helps!
That helps a lot...thanks. I should be able to get my friend to phoneticize 瑞祥新村站.
I visited the Wingmax outlet in Ximen, which in my opinion was pretty much a waste of time....you can buy some standard SDs and MSDs, but they don't have clothes or wigs. Then I decided to try the main store in Songshan district, but I forgot that they are closed on Thursdays! >_< The taxi cost about 200 TW dollars from Ximen. I was really disappointed when I realized it was closed....although I consoled myself with some milk tea from a little shop across the road. XD I'm back in Singapore now so I won't have a chance to try Wingmax in Songshan until my next visit. If Mikaiei or anyone else makes it to the main store, a review would be great!
I was just back in Taipei this may to attend a funeral... I had a whole week there to wander around and I only went around to various bookstores. I'll keep these places in mind. In the meantime, which were your favorite stores and which ones would you recommend?
I just got back from Taiwan this morning. I managed to find a WingMax store by accident after I visited this Taiwan Story Land (Tai Wan Gu Shi Guan.) The Story Land is located right under the Kmall. The Kmall is also known as Shin Guang San Yue. It's really easy to find once you get off at the Taipei Main Station (Tai Bei Che Zhan.) Take the 6 exit (Liu Hao Chu Kou). Once you get up the stairs, go left. I believe you need to cross a predestrain crossing so watch out for the cars. After that, you should see the mall. The Story Land is located directly on the corner and the mall itself is basically the whole building you see. Shin Guang San Yue is located on the far right if you're facing the building with your back to Zhong Xiao West road (Zhong Xiao Xi Lu.) Once you get inside, the WingMax store is on the third floor. Mikaiei provided a link to several Mingmax stores. The one I'm referring to is this one: 3 5 13 252 287 605 670 The metro/subway/jie ring costs a little more than the public bus depending on which stop you're coming from. Public bus rides are only 15 yuan whereas metro rides are 20+ yuan. If you're staying in Taipei for a while, I suggest get a Yo-yo card. You can use those for both buses and metro rides, whereas tokens are only for metros. I'm going back next summer so I'll be checking out all the WingMax stores provided in the link. After then, I can give you guys an evaluation on which store is worth visiting, i.e. which one has more stuff. Also, I'll remember to ask the clerks or doll owners I see for their opinions and hopefully get more directions to other stores besides the WingMax line. The one in the Kmall I went to was kind of small. It had several limiteds displayed and the clerk was kind enough to take some out for you to look at, even though most were not for sale. However, if you ask for the ones on the open shelves, you may be able to strike a bargain. For example, a fullset Dreaming Piccolo could be bought but the fullset Kurumi could not be bought. There weren't a lot of clothes or eyes to choose from though. If you're interested in obitsus, there was a section of the store dedictated to them. Across from the dollfie store, there was another store (?) dedictated to other miniature figures. As usual, everything in the dollfe store is as expensive as the prices from the Volks stores. Still, it was fun just looking around and talking to some of the doll owners there. It was well worth cruising around.
Moe Moe's BJD shop had close! I just found out about that. So sad... Actually, Kaohsiung city at the southern part of Taiwan have more doll shops...at least compare to Taipei. I remember there is a doll shop that sells Leeke doll stuff.....
Oh what, more shops in souther Taiwan?! Anyone know any other shops in Taipei? Little shops selling random stuff would be nice too. There has to be more than just Wingmax and Cotin...
When I went to Taipei in the last year December, I found out there are some stores called "check fun" located at XiMen have some Doll stuff.... but not many As far as I know, Taiwan does not have many doll shop...however, if you can stay in Taiper untill end of Feburary(2/22), you can go to the Doll Festival There will be a lot of doll stuff!
Hello, does anyone have the address for Doll Heart? I'm going to Taipei end of this week so I thought I'd drop into the BJD shops over there. ^^ Who knows, I might find something fabulous for my boy.
sorry, but I don't think there is a shop in Taiwan. Their headquarters/shop is in Hong Kong, Mainland China. I don't think I've heard of a branch in Taiwan, do let me know if someone else knows. I'm in Taiwan for the rest of the week and it would be cool to visit if there were.
Yeah, that's what I found on Google too. It's just that earlier in this (pretty old) thread they mentioned a shop called Dollheart (which has the bonus of selling some BJD stuff and BL manga XD) It might not be a relation to the HK one since Dollheart doesn't have a link to a distributor in Taipei, only Kaohsiung.
Oh really? I only know that there has Volk, do you have the shop's name or address? It would be much grateful. ^^
Hi! I was just at Wingmax (Volks store in Taipei) just this Tuesday. Here are the address and directions: http://www.wingmax.com.tw/wingmaxhobbyland.htm#shop01 . And you can find more information about the store here: http://www.wingmax.com.tw/wm/index.php?page=Catalog.Volks.Home . If you'd like to join us, we may be planning more Taipei doll meets in the near future. Here's the meet up thread. I'm leaving in August, but I hear there are going to be a few BJD conventions here after I leave. If you stick around, maybe you can make it to one.
Hi Sakuri, thank you for your lovely information about Wingmax at Taipei. Not sure whether need to bring my doll over. *shy~ But it will be great to join the doll meet up at Taiwan. Thanks for inviting.
So I'm actually in Taipei right now for the summer. Just flew in a few days ago and I finally managed to snag some time out of reorganizing the apartment with my mom and cleaning up our suitcases to go visit the Wingmax in the KMall off of Tai Bei Che Zhan's metro stop. ^^ I've never been to a BJD/Dollfie shop in my life, so it was interesting to see everything from eyes, wigs, to obitsu body parts and some smaller dolls on sale (sorry, I don't know too much about the lines other than Volks's BJDs... ^^;;;.) I was pretty impressed with what they had, but I was even more so and awestruck by the dolls in the display case right when you walk in. I don't think they were for sale though, as they had no price tag listed next to them. I feel really dumb asking this, but would the storekeeper get upset if I ask to see a doll? She had a few sitting behind the check out counter as well, not in cases or in the store front's glass display. <_<;;; I've never tried holding a Volks doll before and would like to see how heavy they are compared to other company's dolls... I was thinking about asking clothing sizes for one of my incoming dolls too, but since my incoming doll isn't Volks, I didn't know whether I should ask or not, in case that is offensive.
@OmitIdentity - Welcome to Taiwan! I don't think they will take the dolls out of the display as they are not for sale, but any dolls sitting right by the counter would most likely be the clerk's. If you explain why you want to hold their doll, they may let you. The people working there are very nice and understanding. If you have any questions about Volks dolls, they usually know the answers.
Thanks Sakuri! It's good to be back again as I missed coming back the previous summer due to internship and college applications. TT TT Oh wow, the clerk had a really beautiful boy. I should have asked her what mold he is... I think I'm going to try to go back sometime this week then or when my other BJD fanatic friend arrives in Taipei from the States. ^^
I have a friend going to Taipei as an exchange student who will be leaving in August, and she wants to buy her first BJD while there, so I'll gladly pass on the information about the shops and their locations mentioned here. Aside from Moe Moe closing, have any of the other stores closed recently?
I just came back from Ximending and I daresay Cotindoll was hard to find. They said they changed location as their old location was publicly placed so people tend to touch the dolls or stuff all the time. I think she said the doll owners and themselves felt unhppy and decided to shift. IT's quite hard to find but all I can say it's at an alley that sells food.
I've been wanting to go see Cotindoll, but I haven't gone yet since I figured it would be very difficult to find... Was there a lot of things to look at there? I really want to get some more things for my boys and girl. @OmitIdentity - I think I know who you're talking about... The clerk's brother works on the same floor as her, and I believe the boy belongs to him. He's an Okita 2nd. He's a gorgeous mold.
I just back from Taiwan, it's really fun there. Anyway, as for me, I love Cotindoll, they are really friendly and willing to help whatever you are looking for for your boys or girls. You can look for a corner shop called "CROCS", Cotindoll's shop just behind CROCS, look into the alley. CROCS is under construction now, but I think when you guys/girls go there, the shop will be done by now.^^ As for Wingmax, not much I can find especially for YOSD, so personally I'm kind of disappointed with Wingmax neither Taipei branch nor GaoSiong branch. You can try Princess Gift, I haven't got a chance to go there because it was close but I heard that it's quite small and it's not bad to have a look. Address: 台北市中華路1段59號2樓206室 (MRT XiMen station - Exit no.2, walk around 1 min, the store is on 2nd floor, above 7-11 and Subway).*p/s: Store close on Tuesday
Hi again! Sorry for the late reply, Sakuri. I didn't get to talk with the clerk about the mold of the doll, but he is quite gorgeous! I asked her to explain to me what I should buy to do a faceup for one of my floating heads that I've had for quite a while now, heh. I just returned from my trip to Taiwan a few days ago. Unfortunately during my stay there, I was unable to find Cotindoll in XiMenDing or any other doll store. My cousins told me there is one, but we never had a chance to stop by. Hopefully someone else on DoA will find the store and be able to give future BJD-enthusiastic travelers some good directions. ^^ Despite being unable to find the XiMenDing doll store, my cousins took me to a privatelj/independent owned (not a Volks branch or anything) shop in the outskirts of Taipei, I don't have the exact name or address of the city/district the shop is in, but I do have the website given to me on their business card: http://album.blog.yam.com/eva781113 Because I'm pretty much illiterate in Chinese, I cannot say that the website has the address of the shop, but I do believe it should. If anyone could translate the address and post it up here, that would be great and much appreciated. ^^ I got their business card from their table in an anime convention at Tai Da University (Taipei University, I think?) just 2 weekends ago, I think on August 7-8th. I'm sorry I don't know the con's name, but it is an annual one that is always at Tai Da's gym and usually in late July or early August. Not sure if anyone on DoA went, but there were quite a number of BJD items sold at the con-- the BJD sellers even had their own "alley" which was a smaller room on the first floor, apart from the gigantic main room/gym where the rest of the merchants sold their fanbooks, art, trinkets, etc. So, a bit about the shop-- There were many BJD clothes, shoes, and wigs in various sizes ranging from MSD to 70cm sizes. Definitely more variety in wigs and clothes and shoes than the Wingmax was in Taipei Main Station. The wigs are all pretty colorful and well made. There are regular wigs and heat-resisting fiber wigs that the shopkeeper introduced as wigs that could be styled like human hair (as in crimped, straightened, etc). I bought one of the largest size wig (1/3, I remember) here, but it was still too small to fit over my 66cm doll's head, which is around 9-10cm in circumference. I did ask the shopkeeper though, but she was not sure, so it wasn't her fault that it ended up being too small. The girl whose family runs the shop was super nice and did introductions and gave details on most anything you had questions on or interests in. Super friendly-- she encourages you to bring in your doll to try out the sizing for wigs, clothes, anything, if you're not sure. The girl also mentioned that she specialized in doing faceups while her parents ran the store, usually. As for looking for the shop, it is a bit hard to find as it is not on a shopping district of any sort and in a more remote area than the center of Taipei city where Wingmax is. It's more like a neighborhood-like setting. The only landmark nearby the store is a small nursery school/daycare center with a giant apple sign with the building painted yellow with more apples printed on the building itself. If I remember correctly, there is a street that is right by the side of the daycare with the huge 3D apple on it. If you keep walking down, you should see a poster with a BJD on it and then turning in, the shop should be wide open, no doors. However, when I went, the lights were off, so you may have to actually walk into the end of the store and on the right, there should be a door where you can knock on and ask for the shopkeeper to come down, if s/he isn't already in the shop. ^^;;; I know, this sounds a bit sketchy, but they are really nice people and the price isn't bad either, at least from my standpoint. Hope this was interesting/helpful for those BJD lovers in Tawain. ^_^
Hi OmitIdentity, I went to check out the website, and I couldn't really find an actual address. What I did find is this map: I will continue looking through the website for any more helpful information. Thanks for sharing! As for the Tai Da Con, I wanted to go, but unfortunately, that was the day I left Taiwan. Sounds like fun though. I will try to make it the next time I visit. ^.^
I just went to that shop a few days ago It's called Angel's City, but there's no sign or anything. Like OmitIdentity said, the only noticeable landmark would be that big apple at the entrance of that alley. The address is 193 Yong’an St., Xinzhuang City. It would be easier to find if you take the taxi. But if you want to take the public transit, you'll need to get off at Xingpu station exit number 5, and then take either 805 or 99 bus to XinZhuang stadium. Walk in the street on the right (Zhonghe St.) and you'll see that big apple. I actually visited all (I think that's all of them :P) the doll shops in Taipei during this stay in Taiwan. There are about 6-8 shops in Taipei. If anyone want, I can post their store details.
Here is the list of all the doll shops I know in Taipei, hopefully I didn't miss any of them. If you can't read Chinese or not familiar with Taipei City, I would recommend to copy down the Chinese addresses and get a taxi. I've only included brief information for each store. I will add some more details (how to get there by taking MRT) and pictures when I have time later. Hopefully this helps =). The list is pretty up to date; I visited these stores (except IRIS) in September. I'm currently in Taiwan again and will visit IRIS when I get a chance. By the way, some of the stores don't really open in regular hours, so it is always better to call them before you go.
I checked their website just now and the address is the same. You can try call them at (02)2370-1324.Their working hours today is 12pm~9pm.
This is Cotindoll's address and phone number.They are having a 20% discount till 5/1. Address:台北市萬華區武昌街二段88號2樓 (2F,No.88,Sec. 2,Wuchang St.,Wanhua District.,Taipei City 10844,Taiwan Phone :(02)2331-9275
Jessyu: Thanks! I managed to find cotindoll, it's very near my hotel and needs to get to the back alley to get to the shop. The owner is just back in business, so she has not decorate the store yet. I went to Angel City. A very nice owner and face up artist! Bought quite a fair bits of things from her! I did not get to go to the rest, cause I do not want to get myself to spend more! Hahaha T_T
chienism, what kind of news do you expect? I went to Volks Taipei store 2 weeks ago abd realized that they have cute down the space in the store and now the store is only half big. There is a store selling dolls stuffs in Ximen, near Cotindoll. And 2 doll stores in the same area in Taipei county(板橋Banciao).I have never been to any of them yet.I usually buy online.
I'll be going to Taiwan for 10 days this Sunday, any recommendation on doll shops to hit? I'm mostly interested in wigs and clothes and accessories but wouldn't mind seeing some dolls in person either! So far from what I gathered, Wingmax in Kmall, Cotin Doll, and Summer's Here are good ones. Does anyone know if PrincessGIFT is still open? Also, are Begal, IRIS, and Angel City worth a trip? They are more out of the way for me.. TIA!
Begal's online store http://class.ruten.com.tw/user/index00.php?s=begal Iris's online store http://class.ruten.com.tw/user/index00.php?s=tsds Angel City's online store http://class.ruten.com.tw/user/index00.php?s=eva781113 You can have a look and see what they sell. As of Princessgift, they are still selling some stuffs but not sure if they have a store still open. http://class.ruten.com.tw/user/index00.php?s=allan13579
I just got back from Taipei so here to share some update! Wingmax: Still there but its actually not easy to locate the place (even for me who understand and speaks Chinese) -Alight at Taipei Main Station (about 10mins walk) -Walk toward Xin Guang San Yue Exit (there is alot of exist) -Or ask someone for direction to Kmall (the one that sells IT products)! Not K-underground Mall (there's 2 K-mall) -The mall is pretty huge and looks like an office tower and DO NOT states that its K-mall on the outside. -Its at a corner of lvl 3. -Mainly DD heads & body parts. -Small range of Volks clothes. -Unless you are ready to spend big bucks if not its not worth the time to go all the way there. Conti Doll -Closed! Its now a language center/ tuition center Summer (Blyth & BJD) -Its located at Xi Men Ding (Exit 1 is actually nearer. IDK how to explain) -Look for a mall called Shinjuku Plaza! -Level 5 Corner (last shop) -Closed on Monday -Open after 2pm -Best to call before heading down -Its actually a "cube" store so the range is pretty good! -Got myself 2 MSD Set, 3 YoSD Sets & 2 really cute headbands for USD97 -The Blyth/Pulip/Dal size range is AMAZING!!
Cross-posting from The Lonely BJD Planet (Google Map Dollie BJD Shop Guide) thread: 1) Wingmax (Taipei shop) is probably closed too or at least the shop is not in the same area anymore, but since their website is almost non existent and hasn't been updated for years, I think they are closed. 2) CotinDoll has moved from Xinmen to Nangang District. New address: No. 16, Lane 134, Kunyang St, Nangang District, Taipei City (In Chinese: 台北市南港區昆陽街134巷16號1樓) Phone: (+886) 2 2789 0779 Email: They are very easy to reach from Kunyang MRT station (blue line). Exit 4 --> cross the Zhongxiao East rd. --> --> go along the Kunyang street a few meters --> turn to the first small street on the right (currently opposite the Family Mart shop): 134 Line, Kunyang st. --> go along a bit further and CotinDoll shop is on the left side. The shop is open from 10am to 7pm and closed on Tuesdays.
Tsukasa - Thank you for the update I'm visiting Taiwan for a few days this December into January and was planning to check out if WingMax is still there, as I was hoping I'd find some Volks clothing. There're some Yo-SD sets I'm waiting to get restocked on the Volks JP store site - I was going to try and find them in Taiwan if they haven't restocked by the time I went to visit. Also, I've never been to CotinDoll before - do you know if they may have some Volks clothing sets in there? Thanks Just in general though, do any of you know which store has the best selection of Yo-SD clothes in Taipei? (An actual store - not online) Would just like to have a solid list to check out when I go back!
I'm afraid that all the open shops in Taiwan currently know are: - SummerSister (Ximen area) - CotinDoll (Nangang district) Lonely BJD planet map: the shop may look far from each other, but with the MRT, it's quite fast to reach both of them. You can also check I*Doll website, since there may be a doll market in Taipei when you visit there. It's at the university very close to Wanlong MRT station (dark green line). The last one was on 10/25, not sure when there is the next one scheduled, but it's definitely worth checking ~ a great source of doll related accessories. CotinDoll has mostly DollHeart clothes and shoes, but they do have some Volks and others.
Thanks again, Tsukasa. I checked the site you recommended, but it doesn't look like the December schedule is out yet. I'll check again when my trip draws closer I'll definitely be visiting CotinDoll, as it'll be close to where I'm staying. As I plan to see the Gundam shop at the mall, I'll take a quick peek and see if WingMax left a notice or anything if I do. It's a shame - they were my go to store over there
I wasn't able to visit SummerSister, but I was able to go to CotinDoll and pick up a few items! The owner was super sweet and helped me fix the hopeless rat's nest that was my little's girl's wig. She told me she used to be a doll wig maker, and she really had the magic touch. Was probably my best experience at a doll store thus far, and I've been to many. And you're right, @Tsukasa, Wingmax is no more. Will visit SummerSister in Ximen next time I visit though! Always good to check out new things.
This is pretty much a copy and paste post that I wrote on The Lonely BJD Planet, so I hope it's okay to post here too ^^" I just found this store while looking for doll stuff on Ruten to ship to my aunt's or uncles' houses and I found La Blancheur 拉布蘭雪兒 and here's their FB La Blancheur & TWDP v Taiwan Dolls' Paradise | Facebook They are a physical shop located in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Their address is 高雄市新興區六合一路八十七號 You can find more info on their Facebook page as well as a map ^_^ I also found some blogs about them! Apparently they also sell food too, and it's like a cafe inside. The menu pricing is pretty reasonable (if NTD is converted to USD) and they sell sushi, japanese cuisine, as well as desserts like waffles Anywho here are the blogs: - 高雄-新興區- La Blancheur Cafe.Doll. PIXNET :: Although these blogs really aren't targeted towards the dolls, they still show photos and prices of the food and occasional doll pictures. Hello! ill be visiting taipei for a school trip in April and im wondering if there is any doll shop in taipei while im there and hopefully if time allow, i will be able to go and visit
Hi all! It's been a long, long time since I posted (it looks like I've posted in this thread about 10 years ago!) As I frequently visit Taiwan for family and recently got back into the hobby once again, I started doing some digging and found some more updated a more updated shop in Taipei called MumMy RoBot (FB link here). I found them through this detailed vlog on Youtube that breaks down the goods offered. Even up until last year, it seems like due to COVID, they closed their actual shop and encouraged people to shop via their online store. Looks like you can DM them on FB, Insta, etc (all listed on their FB page) to check in with them, though. It does not look like there are any threads about this shop on DOA (I hope they are legitimate but they seem to be! Perhaps just missed by the Western world as it seems pretty Taiwanese-based and small). Just thought I'd spread the word to any travelers keen on going out there! ^^ Also similar to caged11's 2017 post here, I'm also combing through the list of vendors from Hoffman's Toy Box for any Taiwan-based shops, like Documentary Bookstore (formerly what caged11 mentioned as Documentary Bookshop, their FB page is still the same, here, but looks like they actually sell goods now and online, too!). Most stores seem to be from all over, though. Hoffman's does seem like an interesting bi-annual convention, though I think the most recent post for this event was a 2019 thread... In Kaohsiung (Southern Taiwan), as caged11 also mentioned some years back, Dreamland the O.D. appears to also be open. (Youtube vlog of the store and owner interview from September 2022 of a breakdown of their goods sold and special collections of dolls, they can help you special order doll sculpts that are not discontinued, etc). Directions to their shop can be found on their website link. Seems like they also sell to international buyers online via Etsy and Amazon, etc. This is what I've found so far, I will continue to edit/update this post as I find more! Feel free to DM me if you have questions or need help with translations. ^^
@OmitIdentity Thanks for the update and new links! I haven't visited Taiwan since before the pandemic, so it's really nice to get some new info about the mom & pop BJD shops that are still around. Love that MumMy RoBot Studio carries a lot of DollHeart merch! As far as I know, there still isn't an official DollHeart store in Taiwan. I wonder if the shop's pandemic rules are still in place. . . . the vlog video introducing them was from last year, so perhaps restrictions have lifted somewhat. I checked their FB page, but reading Chinese is still not my forte. It looks like Hoffman's Toy Box is hosting an in-person winter party event with vendors present on November 25th this year. Looks like a great opportunity for folks to meet up there. Just gotta say. . . this thread is making me so nostalgic. It's really been 17 years (yikes) since my first comment. Wherever y'all are at, hoping everyone's well!
Hey Sakuri! I happened to have come back from Taipei in January (was there seeing family over the holidays, a tradition that I had to stop during the height of the pandemic). I would say most things are opened by the time I went back last December, so I wouldn't be surprised if the only rules to enter a mom and pop shop were to sanitize hands and to wear a mask while inside. I would still DM to be sure, but from what my friends and family said, masks are even optional in most places now? (They were fining people for not wearing masks outside or in public transit for a while). I'm hoping to go to a Hoffman's event some time, maybe next May, from 豆醬 (Dou Jiang), the vlogger I linked above for MumMy RoBot, this summer's Hoffman's event was already in person! Also... I have to say, yikes, how I used to write made me cringe inside... I was only a teen then.
Yeah, I heard about the fines too! I'm glad to hear things are not as strict over there anymore. I have extended family there, so I'm hoping my next return visit will overlap with one of those Hoffman events. Thanks again for the tips! And same! The internet really is forever. But it's also kinda nice hearing a echo from the past now and then. Goes to show where all the passion came from
Oooh let me know if you ever go back for a Hoffman's event! Would love to meet someone else state-side back in the Motherland! I'm trying to go for next May/spring event!
