Doll Maker UK ( NEW Pics update 17.06.2005)

Im pleased to be able to let everyone know that www.angelsoflife.co.uk will be opening soon...

We will be making and are in the process of making the first UK BJD's 1st to launch soon will be our new Elf Male head, he will be in a white skin resin made to a very high standard by hand.. each head mold will be in a LE run of 50 Max and will come signed by the artist and with a LE certificate with the head issue number (this will be on Cert and inside head ) the next head to be done will be a Elf Girl both these head will be slighlty more mature looking. after these 2 there shud be 2 vampire models in aprrox SD and MSD size.

Heads will be available with and without faceups, so you can customize yourself.

Bodies are in discussion and being designed aswell and will follow shortly after both the heads, in time there shud be 3 colour skins, white, natural and a darker sunkissed version) the bodies will at this time come in male and female, and will be approx SD size 58cm/60cm and approx 43cm.. tinies in future to...

This is a exciting project, which has been in discussion for some time and is now starting.. the holding page is up on the site, and as pics come thru and more information is available this site will be updated. If things go to plan the first head should be available in June.

We will ship worldwide, and accept paypal and from the UK, other forms of payments.

Your feedback will help us to design LE runs in the future, of the type of heads you would like, so please feel free to let us know what you may like for the future.

The LE head will not infact be expensive in comparision to other heads, they will be in approx price range of head sold sep now price range and this is approx $120 for non painted plus shipping and approx $160 for a painted version... we hope that this is acceptable to all.. we just felt it nice to keep the runs Limited.

 

sorry ment 58cm and 60 cm approx... my typing error.... so inline with others, so you can buy clothes from all, ebay etc and sizes will be around same for wigs acc etc...

 

Thanks for all your comments, this has been a long time in planning, meeting with the company actually making the dolls, they are very small and make them by hand as other companies, they themselves are very excited about this and have a real passion for this project, which is what I wanted... (infact lol... his wife is already asking for her own doll :grin: )

These heads, bodies and full doll, will be made with so much feeling and can say love and they will be lovely...

I cant say how happy and excited I am to be able to tell everyone finally... and have taken alot of info on what people like, want into my mind when getting the artists to design the 1st head.. which I hope you will all love... as much as I do...

 

The white shud be more on tone with the CP/Luts white skin tone.

 

also the designers are making a easy release head cap system as we speak, for ease of eye change etc....

yay for the designers.... how many nails have I broke on some head cap systems lol...

lol.. its been so so hard to keep quiet.. but me and hubby yep ropped him in went down to the designers and makers last week, for confirmation that they cud,wud and wanted to take on my project.. and they were so excited in someways more than me, they love the dolls, I took down a few and they are delighted to be making unique head and body molds.

Its taken months to get to the point I could release info saying yep, its done they are desigining and theyve said it will be ready for this date...

The other stuff they do, which are not dolls are amazing and all made by hand.. so fab...

im so excited and happy... and very very tires lol...

 

Hi yes they will be available worldwide.. payable thru paypal to non UK customers..

We know that the heads will fit CP/Luts bodies thats been tested lol....

we will be bringing out different types of dolls, the 1st quite a boyish mature boy Elf, but still with posibilities to make into an anime look with your customising, as soon as pics are available I will show you...

we will be doing other looks in the future and your feedback will help us to hopefully design heads that will appeal to all, so all info you give us gives me info to give the artist, for drawings, which will then be put forward to the designers.. pics of what you like are always helful etc.. as then maybe we can do something in the future that would possibly be midstream for all...

and Tinybear we are end of the year going to crossfingers have the tiny range :grin: so not just big ones....

This is my company with my husband, that has employed professional people to do this, tho when they saw one of these dolls they really wanted to make them, these are people that make amazing things with molds, using resin and other products depending what people ask them to make. They didnt want to make these dolls I went to them and asked them if they would make them for me....

process is... 1. make rough drawing of what I wanted, 2. make more detailed drawing, with the artist 3. turn into a scale drawing with all round detail ie depth reality etc 4. turn this into a sculpt.. 5. then add more detail etc sculpt again ... 6. then mold is made 7. thenanother mold is made if happy with resin head rough one.. 8. final detailed mold made and slowly heads come along... 9. each mold will be destroyed after the LE run is done and will never be repeated, this is my decision as dont want to make them large runs..

The artist have been given ideas from me and the molders and makes them into reality, then into sculpts, its amazing process...

The work that the company have done before is amazing, alot for TV, Films, Big Show on stage and lots lots more.. I did my homeowrk before asking them.

One of the important things was that they made these heads, bodies, complete dolls, because they liked/loved them, not for any other reason and when I went for first meeting with them before we had sat down, they saw Elf Lishe in my hubbies arms and Dreaming Shiwoo in mine and went OMFG they are amazing, so lovely.. they love these dolls as much as me and that means alot.

The designers/artists have been employed to bring an idea in our heads to paper to 3D to sculpts to the company to make molds.. it takes all of this to make the 1st head, I knew what I wanted and hoped others would like and they made it reality..

does that make sence lol.. If you want more info I will do my best to answer..

 

I can do some faceups, more pics will be coming when some of the heads arrive.. I will be looking for a excellent faceup artist in the UK, but this may take some time but it is in discussion. If its a faceup I can do then I will be happy to do it.. if I believe I would not do the faceup justice then I will be honest and not attempt it...

Looking for a faceup artist is not easy... but we will find one I assure you.... I have high standards lol...

here is a pic... this is the final pre mold head... he has small elf ears.. he at the moment has 18mm eyes in but we think he will prob need to wear 16mm... He wont be this colour he will be white skin and possibly 2 other skin tones, so will look slightly diferent to the pic.

Thats cool.... He will look so much better me thinks in white skin tone.. and with the smaller eyes, I think that green really stands out in the model.. The eyes ive ordered are stunning and will look so much better... plus faceup and wig... cant wait.. he has been tweaked a tiny bit on the chin but thats all really... not long now....

im of down to the people on Tuesday to see the 1st resin head... yay.. cant wait also seeing the whole process.. my camera will be charged.. im taking bodies and wigs.. but off course he wont have a faceup... but shud be pics... yay roll on Tuesday...

 

Updated piccy... Just got back

Ok lol here is a pic.. gota get my kid from school.. and shattered.. 2 hours there and 2 hours back... its in sepia as the resin for the 1st one is very dark as has metal in to make strong for the re-molds.. sorry for crappy pic... (nice stinging nettles lol) so did in sepia so different colour didnt stand out and look horrendous.. the correct colour is being made now to be sent to me for faceup and more pics to see if ok... not brilliant pic... but will add a few more later...



cant wait to do a faceup... he has shadows on his face, there was so many trees and the sun was shining for once.. so sorry for that...

The boys head will be available very soon, I should be getting the 1st for me to do the faceup in around 2 weeks... then they make them as I want... so will prob order 5 in... and then put rest on a pre order.. gota see how things go...

The girl is already in the think zone... we are discussing looks etc as I type lol.. the little MSD's should be coming in a few months.. I want a certain look for her.. so sorting that now...

Basically it all goes how I decide....
