Doll Leaves Waiting Room v3

I fell in love with Andy and his grey skin
Is it cool if I hang out here a little bit until I can order him?
My partner already gave me the thumbs up, I'm just saving up a little bit more so I can take the plunge
I did however, order him some rainbow pants. He will be my first boy (AHHH!!!! )

 

So I take it Doll Leaves orders take a while huh ;___; i ordered a Doll Leaves Jeremy a little towards the middle of this month, maybe earlier, and havent heard much regarding shipping since. I ordered through acbjd, and contact with them has been really good though!! so i'm thankful for that.. now its just a waiting game ^^;

 

I have received both of my orders today! Teresa, Ida, Len head and Asa. I'm over the moon with hapiness! I was so afraid, that our post will make me wait for indefinite time even when the parcels arrived. But they are finally here!
They are beautiful, the girls are so petite and exquisite, I love the body (new version) and their sculpts are adorable.
In terms of skin-tones, most of the dolls who arrived are in normal skintone, and it is nicely looking. A bit on the pink side, but I suppose, it'll change over time.
My Teresa is in gray skin, and it is really more gray, then it looked on the promo-pictures (I'd say promo-pictures are on the more greenish side, and that's not just my screen color scheme XD I've checked on different devices, it's more mint than gray in pictures). Nevertheless, I think I know the trick (light, right clothes tone, not drastic measures, like dyeing the doll XD) to make it more mint in color.
The 70+ boy body is a bit strange to my liking, the "balls" under knees and in his elbows are just huge. And the whole body is not very slim and borders on being too heavy (I'm comparing to the other off-topic 70+ doll I have). Nevertheless, I'm happy, overjoyed almost. If not for a broken ear of Asa, I'd say I'm totally satisfied.

Alas, either due to postal mishandling or something alike I will need to glue the part of his ear back . I'm still undecided what to use for this: hot glue or epoxy, or what. Any advices, guys?

I'll put up the box- opening photos in a separate post later. Obviously, not today, I'm drained after this all. But in nearest days, probably tomorrow, for sure.

I ordered my Hedy from DDE a little bit ago. I hope I get her soon! I can't wait to get her some clothes and eyes and wigs! Now to decide on a name and face-up

Hey I'm ordering in the next couple days from ACBjd and wondering if recent wait times have been better? I'm reading all these things about months and months and it scares me and it seems like this is the best thread to ask.

 

Has someone already got their order from february?
When I ordered mine I tought waiting time would be arround 3 months but 4 are already over..
I'm so impatient

 

I emailed Denver Doll last night about my order from February (Wish and Ida) and they said it's in the next order that is to come in and that it shouldn't be too much longer. So yay~! < 3

 

Just placed my order for a yoko through AC, now it's time to wait. I asked her and she said that waiting times right now are between 2-3 months

 

Congratulation. Im also waiting for yoko. Get preparred it could be mor 3-4 months. Also waiting for my end of februar girl

 

I know I'm preparing for the worst But hopefully dollleaves starts cranking out dolls as fast as they can

 

Definatly not hot glue, it tends to peel if and if something hits it, it could fall off. I speak from tragic experience. Rip many doll fingers. I would go with epoxy, or see what others use with fingers and stuff.

 

I just ordered Jeremy through AC. I hope it won't take longer than 2-3 months ;w; I will die from waiting...

 

I ordered Jeremy through AC too, on June 28th. Have his wig and some clothes coming from various places. Hoping the wait wont be too long!

@Quik Yes we can! I wanted Oscar originally, but I couldnt find a single owner picture of him. I found some for Jeremy and liked them, so went with that mold instead. If I like him maybe Ill get an Oscar at some point, too.

Did you get your Jeremy with faceup?

 

@Capistrono I fell in love with Jeremy instantly but Oscar is also pretty And yep, I took the faceup too~ It looks really nice and suits the character I want for him.

 

Yoo I ordered Jeremy too!! ^^ I think it was towards the end of May when I placed the order maybe?? Still waiting for him, ordered through AC also and so far no updates but i'm hoping he gets here soon~ ;w;

I'm waiting for a Teresa in NS through DDE! I paid off my 3 month layaway at the end of June, so I hope I don't have much longer to go!

So my two from the DDE february order finally made it home. I didn't get a shipping notification, but they arrived safe and sound. So happy~! < 3

I'm loving the height difference between the girl and boy bodies, makes for some unique characters.

 

@TurtleJen Hooray, congrats! I love those outfits, Ive always liked muted colors to brighter ones.

Feels like itll be a while before my boy is home, but I dont like the wig I got and need to order a new one anyway. Still need a name for him too.

 

I just ordered a Doll Leaves MSD body for a Dika Doll Monica head! I've seen the resins to be quite close in matching, but I don't know if anyone else has hybrid'd these companies. Either way, though, I'm excited to play around with my first hybrid...!

 

My Yoko is here!!! It will be two months Monday that I ordered her and I'm so happy she is here! Stay tuned for pics when she's finished!!

 

I just got my shipping notification for my Teresa that I ordered in March!

 

Just ordered my first BJD through acbjd.com! I bought a Teresa!

 

So I just ordered Mei - the double headed girl today...She is perfect for what I have in mind but I feel I am the only one that likes her mold XD all my friends told me she is creepy! I usually respond with that she is super cute!

Anyway...propably a long wait ahead T.T I hope she arrives here soon!

Any idea how long the waiting time might be for a fullset from dollleaves? it seems they usually ship rather fast...but with a fullset I am not sure...

 

No clue, it's my first bjd ever I'm hoping it's a month or less but that seems pretty optimistic from what I've been seeing on the forums

 

My boy just shipped! I ordered him with a faceup and it was about a 2 and a half month wait. Not bad at all, really. He should be here early next week!

Jeremy. I either wanted him or Oscar, but Jeremy was the only doll I could find owner pictures of so I took the safer bet. If I like him I might add Oscar to my wish list though!

He's here and he's lovely! My first impressions were:

He's so pale! I orded normal skin, but the poor boy still looks like he hasn't seen the sun in a while.

Also he's TINY! Way shorter than my other MSDs and a bit skinnier too! I was expecting the height difference, but didn't expect him to be so all around small. It's almost like he's a size inbetween YOSD and MSD.

No seams or any defects that I can see, strung very tightly, but that was expected. I'm very happy with him!

Just ordered Jenny on Saturday. Denver doll first said they would have to preorder and it would take 4 months or so, but a little while later I received an email informing me that they now have her in stock. Now I'm scrambling to prepare for my first bjd that's arriving much earlier than expected

 

I ordered the new 1/4 girl body in NS last week from DenverDoll. I'm going to use it for my Spiritdoll Liana head. Up until now I've only bought BJD's secondhand, so the 3+ month wait is going to be interesting...

 

One month down, two to go according to Alice's Collections haha

 

Here I thought the long wait for my doll leaves Maya was finally over after 6 months, 2 longer than initially planned... But nope, I just found out doll leaves apparently forgot to make the doll. They didn't respond to emails from the dealer asking about it for weeks on end either, I only just found out... so I'll probably have to wait another 4 months

Back in the waiting room I go.

@Dins That's terrible! Is there a specific reason you ordered from a dealer? Maybe you can cancel your order through the dealer and do it directly through the company, since the wait may be shorter that way.

 

I go through a european dealer bc it's the only way I don't have to pay insane customs costs, haha. Buying the doll from the company would have cost roughly the same base amount, but I would have had to pay a little over 60 euros in customs, and probably about 30-40 euros in shipping. So... I'd rather just wait a bit longer then haha

 

I ordered Teresa during an event in May from Denver Doll, I was just thinking about her... Do you think this wait is normal or should I check in with them? Now I am concerned they misplaced my order, haha.

 

Quoted waiting time is three months, so yes, I would check with them, that's ridiculous

 

I went ahead and emailed them a couple days ago, they said she should be in the next shipment, ugh... every doll I choose seems to have a unusually long wait time, I must have poor luck

 

I ordered a 1/4 Dream girl new body a few days ago. Love this new body, I hope that Doll Leaves will make new male body soon xD

 

Joining in here. Has anybody ordered through Alice"s Collections? I have a Lilith head on order from back in July. Any idea how long this normally takes?

 

I ordered on Alice's collection, they keep assuring you it's fine, it's on it's way, without ever asking the company, as far as I've experienced.

 

Ahhh, the MSD body I ordered back in August finally shipped...! It was a birthday present from my mom, who I think is more excited about it finally shipping than I am. Now, to hope it doesn't hybrid too badly to the head I have for it...!

 

Mine arrived yesterday, it's a pretty good doll, but a little underwhelming on some parts. Took just under 3 months to arrive!

 

@LeMiss what exaclty is underwhelming for you?

 

Got the body, and it hybrids excellently! So if you're looking for a relatively inexpensive MSD, DikaDoll's normal pink skin and DollLeaves' normal skin is a good way to go! Dolly nudity under the cut, fyi.
