I paid for my blank normal skin Yoko last week! I managed to get her inside their event times, which meant I also get a normal skin Ida head with her! She's my very first doll and I'm SO EXCITED I don't know how I'm going to wait so long before I can have her in my hands...

 

My Ida arrived on Wednesday. I'm hoping to send her off for her face up today.

@AureliaSong She really is! She has my favorite resin out of all the dolls I have handled. Its so smooth but it's not shiny at all!

 

I'm SO excited! I really can't wait, I need to have her at home already!!

 

@Haruchaan I know how you feel! I ordered my first doll, a Doll Leaves Teresa, in the middle of December from DDE. I'm still waiting on her. ;u; My second doll, which I ordered from MiroDoll 2 weeks after I ordered my Teresa, is in the mail right now, haha. I just need them both home!

 

The waiting is seriously getting to me! It hasn't even been that long since I ordered her, and I can already feel myself going a little crazy!!

 

Hey everyone! I just ordered my first doll (sorta--I really just ordered a body xD my first doll is a hybrid because I'm insane ) from Doll Leaves through Alice Collections and now I'm waiting for it! I'm trying not to get super excited about it because then the wait will kill me more than it already is.

My plans to distract myself while in BJD-Purgatory include practicing face-ups on my Akagidoll Ban head and trying to bond with him more (the body I ordered isn't for him, he won't be getting a body for a little while).

Just saw a post on another forum from someone who ordered "mid-November" and has yet to receive their doll. Doesn't expect it until April based on their dealer's info. So looks like we're around a 4-5 month wait. I'm still going to hold out a little hope they'll improve their production times and I can have my Amara home by late May, and in time for a Bjd con I'm going to. What's everyone's plan for their dolls when they arrive?

Is waiting time generally more, less or the same when you order from a dealer as opposed to directly from the company?

 

It depends on the company and the dealer, @aae3748 but generally the wait time is a lot less when you order from the company directly. Some dealers have the company make a bunch of dolls ordered through them and ship them all at once, so the wait can be really long (I know Denver Doll does it this way for Fairyland at least, probably most of their companies). So when they can just make your one or two dolls and send it right out, it's faster.

 

@roserising ahh I see, thanks. I ordered directly from Doll Leaves. Is the shipping less when you order from a dealer?

 

@aae3748 Shipping is generally less, and if you're in a country that has customs fees (like the UK where I am) then you don't to worry about that when ordering from a dealer!

That being said, mid-November would have been fine haha. I ordered at the end of September and I'm still waiting c': (Although that was because DL sent a girl body instead of a boy body and I have no idea when they're going to send the next one ^^; It originally arrived in December though, so.. soon??)

 

I'm still waiting on a Teresa I ordered from DDE in the middle of December... I really hope that they're able to fill their orders soon... ^^;

 

My doll leaves Vivian from Jeeryama should actually be here in a few weeks and her clothes should come around the same time! I'm so excited for my first bjd!

@AureliaSong I emailed DDE yesterday (about something else that was in my order for a Teresa) and asked if there was any update on her. This is what she said:
"Doll Leaves still owes me our December order and then the January order with your doll. So I am guessing another 6-8 weeks."

 

@tessiekat Oh my gosh..! D: Are you kidding me...? This is a bit ridiculous, especially given that the wait time when I actually ordered was around a month and a half..... Thanks so much for the info, though! I really appreciate it. :3

 

Not sure what's going on with Doll-Leaves' wait times, they seem all over the place? I saw on Facebook that someone who ordered from them (maybe direct?) on Feb 14, 2017 already received their 2 dolls? I ordered a couple of days before but haven't heard anything, but I had a face up and a weird color so I expect longer. Sure wish they'd answer my email though. :/

 

Got a shipping notice from Angelesque today! (Well yesterday, but I'm still awake so still counting it as Monday haha).
But yay! A little over 6 months of waiting and he'll finally be here! Sad to say that during the wait I've kind of fallen out of love with the head, but I'll be keeping the body for a different head that should match it ok, so it still worked out!

 

I feel youuu! My I-Da will be home on Thursday thanks to Aneglesque too!
And same happens to me, I'm thinking on sell the head and keep the body for my floatnig heads...

 

Doll Leaves's site disappear??

 

Since Doll Leaves website doesn't seem to be working I decided to order though Angelesque.
I had my eye on Kira for a little while along with some of LUTS' sculpts, but seeing that he was in stock on her site, and in the colour I wanted, I was ecstatic when I saw it.
It'll still be a little while before he shows up though, since she's on a holiday (completely fine by me, gives me more time to flesh out his story).

Still a bit perplexed by the Doll Leaves website though. Anyone know anything?

 

I contacted their Facebook page about it. Someone got back to me and said they'd ask the Doll Leaves staff about it.

I agree! The wait times almost seem a bit random. Makes it harder to plan for when she'll arrive, and makes the waiting so much harder!!

 

I just got an email from Doll Leaves yesterday telling me that my Lili doll and Safa head order shipped! I ordered in mid February for reference if anyone needs it. I'll update when they arrive

For me today's exactly two months from the date I ordered the first "batch" of event dolls (I've ordered the second after a week, just a day before the event finished). Really hope, the 2-months waiting is all there is (as I has been told by Alice of Alice Collections when I asked her). Sadly, even in this happy case I will be waiting another 20-30 days due to slow post, as this is normal for Russian inbound postage). Nevertheless, I'm excited already, even knowing I should wait still

 

I still haven't heard any news about my Teresa... I ordered her on December 15th from DDE. Four months of waiting... Hopefully she'll be shipped out soon, especially since people who ordered in February have been getting their orders...

 

@AureliaSong I ordered mine directly from Doll Leaves so maybe they ship out faster than ordering through a dealer especially since DDE only places orders from each company once or twice a month when they meet the minimum requirement. I hope you get happy news soon though!

 

I just got the shipping order for my family's dolls! (It was an order of four straight from Doll Leaves.. one is mine, one is my fiancee's, and the other two are my aunt's lol!) So excited to finally get my cute little Oscar~

 

My order arrived today too! (I also ordered mid-Feb). Yeah, I also believe they're shipping out much quicker to those of us that ordered directly from them instead of a dealer. Probably has to do with the giant batches of dolls they need to produce for them vs. 1 or 2 for direct customers, plus the fact that most dealers only submit doll orders once a month. Hope everyone gets their orders quickly though! My Amara is in Wheat, but I can't even see any seam lines, and she's nice and smooth, so nice casting job. Faceup is good too.

 

@MasahtiJade That's so exciting! Did you do a box opening album? Mine is supposed to be delivered today but no luck yet. Supposedly they attempted to deliver and left a notice earlier today according to tracking but I was sitting by the front window all day and there was no notice so idk what the deal is. My post office branch sucks so I won't be surprised if it shows up in an hour or two or doesn't even get delivered and I end up having to go pick it up at the post office

My new boy, and first BJD, will be arriving tomorrow!

Currently still waiting on my order...it'll be ten weeks since I ordered this Monday coming, I'm really starting to go out of my mind!

 

I've wrote to Alice, asking about my orders. She said that DS is slower this year due to large amount of orders. As for my dolls they say they are due approx. early and mid May (I've ordered in mid and late Feb. correspondingly).
I hope all dolls which are awaited in this tread and around will arrive safe and sound in reasonable time without delays.
Let's be strong for the rest of our waiting!

Wow... I'm seriously starting to wonder if DS just forgot about the DDE order..? I ordered back in mid-December and all I know is that my order hasn't been shipped to DDE yet. I don't even have an estimated time of arrival... I'm starting to wonder if I should just contact DS directly, since it isn't DDE's fault that they haven't received their December order yet. :/

 

That's positive at least! I seem to have ordered around the same time as you, so hopefully there isn't too much more waiting to go!

 

I don't see how it would hurt to shoot them an email and ask, worst they could say is they're behind and still working on the DDE order. I'm sure it would ease your mind to reach out

 

Yeah. I also ordered from DDE, but back in January. Hopefully soon our orders get shipped out.

 

I checked my email yesterday, in hopes that I would have a an email from ACBJD and it turns out they sent an email to me on the 11th that went to my junk folder; my Yoko had already reached Melbourne by the time I had checked the tracking!!! I got home today to find that she had arrived; unfortunately it's night time here, so the photos aren't very good, but I thought someone might appreciate them anyway!


She's so pretty and her resin is SO SMOOTH. I absolutely love her face so much, and her body poses so prettily!

I recon your Yoko should be in NS and Ida's head is WS, no? I am just curious about different skin colors and want to know beforehand what to expect lol. The dolls I've ordered should be in either normal - Ida, Asa and Len - or grey, in case of Teresa.

In case anyone here awaits Doll Leaves and ordered through ACBJD, I've written to Alice and learnt that they expect the latest batch of orders from DS somewhen around upcoming weekend.
And my orders are expected to be in there as well! yay! I can't wait anymore! I hope, as promised, early next week I'll get letter about my orders arriving to Alice and being shipped to me.

I wrote to Doll Leaves concerning the DDE shipments a couple of weeks ago, and.... no response. :/ I'm really starting to get worried now. It's been just over five months since I've ordered, and everyone else here seems to be getting their dolls in 2-3 months! I'm starting to wonder if I should ask for a refund and just order through Alice's Collections...

 

Both are actually in normal skin! I think it's the pink in my hand in the photo that's throwing off the colour in Ida's head

I'm not sure it's possible to get a refund, 'cause dolls are made upon order and most of dealers and companies state on their order forms that you won't be able to ask for refund precisely for this reason.
If I am not mistaken, DDE makes order to the company after they got enough orders or something, while it seems Alice makes orders individually each time. That's why there is the difference in times. Again, this is only my assumption, I'm in no way an expert in the field :-)
Though, if you happen to manage to get a refund, please, share the experience, it's quite useful to know, if the refund is possible for DDE.

 

Okay, guys, I'm just an anxious idiot. I just got my shipping notice. ^^;

Thank you all so much for putting up with my incessant complaining...! I'm so sorry I got so out of hand... it was my first time ordering a doll, and it freaked me out a little when I thought about it too much. I'm honestly so impressed with DDE. They handled my whining and multiple emails with what I can only describe as top-notch customer service. 1000/10 for them, honestly.

I, for one, totally understand you anxiousness and nerves For me it's third order of dolls, but earlier I never went directly for dolls, there always was someone else between me and shipping notices (mostly this way I got some discount or service, not because I can't order myself). And now I'm flooding ACBJD with mails regularly out of anxiousness. For instantce, I plan to send the question about my orders, if I won't hear from them after next Wednesday. XD

Finally! My orders are shipped!!! Hurray! *makes ritual dance on the table*
Now for the most torturous part of the waiting - actual shipment process. Alice form ACBJD wrote that I'll get my tracking Nos. early next week, so I suppose my parcels are qued for being shipped-out after the upcoming weekend.
Unfortunately, the combination of Chinese and Russian post toghether is the hell of a nightmare in terms of times nad quality. I hope my dolls will arrive in good health. >.<
