Doll Leaves Waiting Room v3

Haha, well that's good, I'm just so enamored with them!

It's clear in person that they have some of the infamous Doll Leaves crookedness going on in their sculpting. It's most obvious in their mouths since one side is clearly longer than the other. I think with my tan boy I'll leave it as is because I don't want to mess with his resin, but I may try to fix it with the white one....also debating if I want to open his eyes a bit more or not. Also excited since I'll be making them some temporary wigs this weekend! I don't have much to dress them in, but I do have some old faux fur wigs I've been meaning to sell that I can butcher up to give them something for the time being. I'll be sad when I have to leave this thread, unfortunately the Doll Leaves Tinies thread doesn't get much action

But to keep on topic of the subject of waiting, I just made my last payment for my Doll Leaves order from Mint on Card! I asked for an update too on their status, hopefully they're ready to be shipped out soon!

 

My last payment comes up on the 8th of next month. For me, it has always been easy to wait while I'm still paying a doll off. Once I am done, things are different...

 

Nice! You're almost done! Hopefully they'll already already been at MoC so by the time you make your payment they can just send them straight over

 

I am really looking forward to seeing the new 1/3 girl body in person. I'm not a huge fan of slotless thighs, but the mobility joint may help with that.

As an aside...still no name for the Athena, but I'm calling my Lulu deer Thistle and Bramble.

 

Just sent in my first payment to Alice's Collections for Hedy. She's my very first BJD and I'm super excited!
I know exactly what wig to get her and everything, but now it's time for the waiting game lol

 

Congratulations @AlicetheWizardofOz ! Doll Leaves is usually quick, but there have been some events lately that slowed them to a crawl. Worth it, though!

Just paid for Nozomi 1/3 to alice collection~ its been 8 years since i brought my first boy. i just fall in love with him at first sight...

 

I have just ordered the new 1/4 girl body through the Chinese ebay dealer (forgot her alias...), she said wait time is about 6 weeks, I'm keeping my fingers crossed as I can't wait to receive it!! It looks so fab and it's going to be perfect for one of my floating heads!!

 

Hey everyone!! I just got an email from MoC telling me that my order was in and ready to be shipped out to me! I'm so excited, and I was a part of the January order, so that should mean everyone else waiting will be getting their dolls too!!

 

My notification was in my inbox! Only $70 stands between me and my order.

I'm so jealous, I was REALLY hoping my cuties would be here by tomorrow (which is my birthday), but it seems they won't arrive until the day after. Oh well, the wait is almost over!

My order came in last night!! I'm SO excited! Unfortunately I got home very late last night so I only had time to open them and then go to sleep. Today will be another long day so hopefully I'll have time to take photos over the weekend.

I'm blown away by them! Amara is SO beautiful! I didn't get her with a face-up as I'll be dyeing her tan once her body arrives, but even so her sculpt is just gorgeous! I did get Pepper and Hedy with face-ups and they're very pretty! I'm not really a fan of the lashes Doll Leaves uses though as they're SO long and cover up their eyes, so I'll probably be removing them, but everything else is lovely. I kind of hoped Pepper would have looked a little happier since he's supposed to be super cheerful and upbeat, but looking at his website photos he's not actually smiling all that much so I'm not sure why I expected that haha. Oh well, still gorgeous and I love them! Hedy will be taking over the DiM body I already have at home, so my poor Alpon is going to be floating for a bit.

Also, the little Lulu deer are TOO stinkin' cute! I'm so happy I qualified for two of them....now I just wish I was better at blushing, the poor cuties will probably be blank for a LONG time with me.

 

Everyone is here. Now to modify where needed and get them all painted up.

 

@glyndon congratulations on the arrival : ) ! Am I seeing this right, that it took nearly 5-6 months for your order to reach ? I thought Doll Leaves had a processing time of about 2-3 months :C ?

 

@Milenn Normally they are two months, yes. The Holiday event, however, did unexpected things. Not even the Noir head event slowed down the works so badly. I expect they should start speeding back up now, though.

I'm waiting for Jeremy and the Rosbly event head from may i'm not sure how long it usuallly takes for doll leaves, cause this is my first time buying one of their dolls but i can't wait! ^^ i've heard only good things about their dolls

 

How long IS the usual wait? I've been reading about a lot of different things, from a few weeks to 6 months

I ordered the new girl body through Alice's Collections back in May, so was wondering how long to expect the wait to be... I had assumed 6 weeks but it seems it'll be longer

 

Alice says the usual wait is 2 month..but if im not wrong alice has a processing period of 1 month so most probably you will get yours on august/september

Just ordered a Teresa in white skin on the male body from Angelesque! This will be my first Doll Leaves doll, I'm excited! No plans for him yet, but I thought of possibly modding his eyes a little narrower :O

 

I just put a 70 cm Asa on layaway. He's gonna not only be my first 70 cm doll but my first boy as well. cant wait til he gets here

 

Hi! I'm Bird. C: I ordered my first doll from Alice's Collections and decided upon a Pepper head and V2 girl's body.

Does anyone else have a Pepper? Cuz I'm still waiting on her face up to be finished and then she will be sent to me and I wanna see different face ups on that sculpt to get a better idea of the shape of the head than just in the blank and factory faceup.

I just ordered a Vivian with wheat skin from the authorized DL eBay seller. She'll be my first doll, I'll officially be in the hobby! I'm bursting with excitement! How do you guys handle the wait?? She's not supposed to get here until December, I think I'll die!

 

Congrats i'm still waiting for my first doll leaves doll (Jeremy). It's been five month since i orderd him T.T the waiting time is awful i'm lucky because i have five other dolls to "play" with, but if he was my very first doll i would find it hard to wait on him. Hopefully i will have him next month, as i then has been waiting for 6 month. He suposed to be my birthday present, but my birthday was back in July so....

 

Oh that waiting period is hateful!! Jeremy is such an adorable sculpt too! Please post pics when you finally get him

 

I forgot to mention that I ordered Doll Leaves Amara (Grown Up) 6 months ago, along with 2 event Rosbly heads and various items from other companies. I just paid off my layaway and am waiting on shipping from Mint on Card! Anyone know what bodies hybrid good with Doll Leaves 1/4 heads?

[Edit: I am returning them because Amara's leg keeps coming off whenever I pose her. A defect on how she is strung (her legs are strung separately), I guess. Sadly, the heads have to be returned as well.]

 

Does anybody know if the Doll Leaves white skin is a good match with the Mystic Kids white skin?

 

Ordered the 70cm boy body through Denver Doll on October 1. Does anyone have photos at all of this body posing? All I can seem to find are shop photos.

6 months???? The internet and customer reviews have suggested I should only be waiting 3 months at most??? Is this not true anymore???

 

is why I've asked who Rockarina ordered through. If it was a dealer, it could be a new dealer - and some seem to wait till they get enough customer orders before placing their 'dealer order' (typically the doll company ask you as a new dealer to spend a large sum of money for your first order). When i was a dealer I placed my dealer order using my own money, which is how it should be done, but I've noticed new dealers popping up who expect orders from other people to get them started.

So - first of all who did Rockarina order through? Or if s/he ordered direct from Doll Leaves, s/he needs to let them know the doll has gone missing - because no way a Doll Leaves doll should take this long, judging from what others have said.

well I suggest you use the contact form on her website Contact Us and tell her you'd like an update on your order - do you have the email etc from 6 months ago? I know she's moved house fairly recently and got a new website too, so maybe your order got lost in the upheaval somehow? Carol usually replies very quickly on a weekday, and you may even get a reply at the weekend as she has replied to me out of working hours. I hope you can get your boy soon! I was going to order a couple of Doll Leaves dolls from Angelesque myself, but I'll put a hold on that idea for now

 

I've been waiting one month and I can't wait to get here....I wish there were more owner pics....I really love the pics of nina the website has....but you can never 100% be sure until you see owner pics. I saw the one posted for me...but I want to see more!!!

So so. Carol said that the Company made a mistake and sent girl bodys when it should have been boys, so she said that they had to make a new order for the right Dolls She promised to write back to me when she had any news about it.

ZOMG guys!! My Nina has shipped!! I was expecting to have to wait until after the holidays so I'm super excited!! It's only been a little over a month! I ordered her on October 16th from Alice's Collections

 

I'm waiting for Doll Leaves K-Kira (full body) and H-Hedy (head only). I placed an order through DollMix on November 25, 2016 and I got an email yesterday where they say that "the order has been confirmed by the company". My hope is to get the dolls by March but I've heard of people who have been waiting for more than 6 months!!!

Any suggestion for a female body from another company that could match Hedy's head?

I ordered Nina throught Angelesque. Carol wrote it can take 3-4 months. Now I read that you're waiting for six months. It scares me. I hope it does not last longer than four months...

 

My nina only took a month and a week or so to get to me. I got her through Alice Collections

 

It sounds great. But I live in Europe, so if I order from non european dealer or company, I have to count with another fees. That' s why I ordered from Angelesque. I try to see it in better light. During this waiting I can prepare for her arrival

I've been waiting over a year for a head I bought lmao. I'm not sure if I'll ever see it. I've been chasing it up for the last six months, but its soured the experience a lot. For me, I think it will be my first and last dealing with DL, even if I'm sure my case is quite an extreme one.

EDIT: for the record, my order was through Angelesque, and would have been sent in 30th December 2015 at the very latest.

 

And you know where is the problem? Did you ask Carol? What she said? It' s possible they forgot to make your order. But if you paid for this head, you should take it. It' s really strange you are waiting so long...
