Doll Leaves Waiting Room v3

I am joining the waiting room!

I ordered Teresa (NS) on the 4th of april and she will help me complete my first BJD! I ordered her from Alice's Collections. I already have a DIM Flowne head and want to use this body for her. Yet I couldn't pass up the extra head for face-up practise and in case the hybrid isn't as good looking as I hope.

Please don't take 5+ months to arrive! I can't wait that long .

 

My Doll Leaves Augus took 6 months to arrive. I ordered him in August without a faceup via Angelesque. I kinda loved the look of the girl body, so I ordered the head with the dream girl new body.

Unfortunately, I'm now totally smitten with the look and feel of the Doll Leaves BJDs, and I'm contemplating ordering a boy (or body) and joining the waiting room again..

 

Okay 6 months is probably manageable, given i've just come out the other side of a 9-10 month dream valley wait lol.

I plan to get an Augus and a Jeremy. I can't resist Jeremy's ridiculous sulky face lol. It makes me smile.

You got pics of your Augus? I'd love to see.

My only gripe is I wish they did more resin colours hahahah.

I ordered a Doll Leaves Oscar head to complete my 4th bjd on 3/9/20 via Alice's collections.
I had emailed them today in response to an email they sent out explaining there will be delays because of whats going on.
They said the wait time at the moment for doll leaves is 6 more months so it looks like my poor boy will stay headless for awhile
It’ll be worth the wait, i have a Hedy and an Ida from DS that i adore so I’m just exited

I had totally forgotten to pop into this thread because I have the tiny deertaur Mili on order. its now just a matter of waiting for her. I didn't realize the waits were so long. Its prob best with the current shipping state the world is in right now.

 

I just ordered Louis today, The first time I bought this doll company Hope he will come to me soon

 

I just ordered the Lan full set (doll + faceup + wig + clothes) and I see the wait is a bit long but that's okay, sending good wishes to all of us so that we can get our dolls soon!

has anyone else ordered a 1/3 sized boy? i'm not sure if the wiki list is maybe not representing everyone.

@purple_monkfish i see a discount a few times already since last fall, but seems like 15%, maybe they do a bigger one like 30% once a year? but i found out they don't discount face ups though

 

@Grimalkin that's what i've noticed. I'm thinking they do it every few months which is good as it means I don't have to PANIC about getting money together this round.

It gives me time to save up for Jeremy and Augus and wait for some blank sculpt pics of Ben and Lewis. I fully intend to get a Lan at some point too but i'm not sure if I want them male or female hah.

I wish they did more skin tone options though. I was SO tempted by those aspen tans Denverdoll had but the shipping to the UK and customs charge made it absolutely prohibitive. *sigh*
A shame.

But yeah, when they do their money off offers it makes them SO affordable and it becomes very hard to resist hah. Only thing stopping me from ordering right NOW NOW NOW is that I have literally £30 to my name till June. Whoops.

But there's gonna be a big ACBJD order in my near future, I know this.

 

i put Zheng in with Cloversinging/jeeryama, we will see how it goes, since he is my first Doll Leaves purchase. there was a discount when she had the store anniversary so that actually worked on the whole order, even face up. she has gotten me other brands so much faster than other brokers at times, it's pretty amazing but i like ACBJD too, they have also treated me well. honestly most of the brokers have been to work with. it's a challenging business model though with all the pre-orders, waits and stuff out of your control, it must be so difficult at times.

i sort of like Asa too, but i've seen an owner picture of him full set, and so decided to get Zheng first. i was worried that he was not selling well and would be discontinued. i think the tattoo is probably not for everyone. but he is perfect for my tribe! i've only ever seen one owner post any content about him (in the wild, not on DOA even), and it was without the tattoo. still, he looked great

 

Zheng is very very pretty to be fair. I haven't seen many sd ds dolls in general actually. They have some really nice mature boys.

 

i really hope the face up i get is as nice as the photo, and that they take their time painting it. i will also be interested in seeing how that new SD boy body works with some other heads too, we need a lot of body swapping in my tribe... though i'm slowly closing hte gaps...

 

Hello everyone! I ordered Betty back in February from alice's collection and have been stalking this forum until I found the courage to post something. She'll be my second resin bjd and first 1/4 scale! I already have her hair and eyes and I'm trying to stay patient. >.<

 

Augus is lovely. Does he have a very long pointy nose? I got my Doll Leave Berg a little while ago and I love his face but his nose is very long. I'm considering sanding it down because I think it will bother me over time.

 

Hullo, gonna go ahead and join the waiting room as I have one last payment till my Dollleaves Augus will completely paid off! I really hope DDE already has him on hand to send or it's more waiting for me.

 

I know exactly what you mean, that's the reason I was afraid of ordering Betty! Augus' nose is really cute, it is one of the features I really like about him! It is slightly pointing upward (like an upturned nose) and I think this would be really cute to highlight in a faceup. Looking at the Doll Leaves website, I think it is similar to the nose of Lan? I'll include a picture, hope this helps!

 

DS sculpts tend to have fairly interesting noses, chins and often jowly cheeks lol. I kinda like it, it's unique.

I've asked for blank sculpt pics of their two new boys and they said they were working on it. So hopefully soon. I'm really curious about Ben's super unusual face. He has a REALLY prominant chin which is almost cartoonish.

 

She’s here! I was hoping her fullset would come with the eyes from her promo but these are very nice for random ones. There is a small red spot on the corset but her face and hair are perfect. She is my first MSD size resin and she’s so much easier to move around than my larger ones lol. Now to decide if I’m going to get her some shoes since her outfit doesn’t have them.

 

It suits him. It definitely doesn't look as long as Berg's.

 

Returned to this site to say I'm waiting on my Doll Leaves Zheng! Should be here any day now, ordered him back in November so it's been a decent wait, mostly due to Covid...

I got him with the face-up & look forward to making clothes for him!

I was thinking that too! Was thinking that a healthy coat or two of Mr. Super Clear will protect my boy. I'm also hunting down some kind of display cabinet because my house is dusty af! Lol. And also...cats.

I ordered a blank Doll Leaves Asa last night, normal skin tone. I couldn't decide between him or Dollzone Robin, so I had people vote on it. I honestly think he is the better choice as well. Asa has these amazing lips, where Robin kind of has that open mouth thing going on. I did change Asa's style up a bit differently then I would have with Robin, but feel that Asa is going to work out amazingly! I already ordered the wig and some shoes! Now it is time to make the clothes... even though he wont be here for months!

 

I got an email telling me my Doll Leaves Augus should be here in only 4 days!! This'll be my very first bjd in person, I can not contain my excitement!

GUYS, MY DOLL LEAVES MILI JUST SHOWED UP OUT OF NOWHERE!

No shipping notice, no warning, just a FedEx package at my door. I have to go to work now, but I'll post a box opening when I get home! I thought Alice's Collection would have given me a shipping notice/tracking, but nope... package surprise. Good thing I saw it while leaving for work because I had no idea to expect it and FedEx didn't even knock.

 

I just ordered my first doll a Pepper from Alice's Collections. The waiting game is going to be tough first time I have ever had to wait so long for something to arrive. I guess plenty of time to learn to make cloths for her.

 

I'm waiting for their summer event to start, which usually happens in July doesn't it?

Is anyone sure what the wait time is now? I looked at the wait list but the vast majority seems to be either still waiting or not updated.

I ordered two lovely dolls from Alice collection on March 13th; a blank Fei and a blank Duncan. Along with these dolls were a BUNCH of clothes and other accessories!

It's the biggest order I ever had (and hopefully my last!) so I can't wait until it arrives! I've been paying on it by a 6-month layaway though the shipping time I was told was actually 5-month. ^^

At most I have almost three months left or two months left!!!

Oo nice. How does ordering from clover singing work? I've never done it before but it looks like they've got a whopping 30% off rather than the 12% of ACBJD and 15% of DS themselves (wierd)

 

Similar to ACBJD, if what you want to buy has a listing already, create a cart and check out as paypal later. if you need layaway, email the order number with your layaway plan request. you can also email ahead and have items added to the site if needed. the one odd thing about Doll Leaves is that the face ups are sometimes not eligible for the discount.

 

I've asked about getting the type 1 body for one of the boys and she said she'd check. So if that's all good i'll order Ben, Jeremy and Augus through Clover Singing to save money heh. They also have a pair of shoes i've been wanting for a while that keeps getting sold out everywhere except Taobao.
So.. yay?

I wonder how they get such a good discount. I'm super curious how that works.

Seriously what is Doll Leaves' current wait time? Clover Singing claims it's about 4 months but i've seen people saying it's closer to 6

 

I wish I knew, Zheng is my first one and I did layaway plus he has a complicated face up... oddball to the last breath over here.

 

As they already replied, it’s pretty much the same as Acbjd: you put your order in the cart, pick all the options, then pay with paypal. That’s it! And if you have issues, just mail Christina (the owner), she replies super fast. Oh remember you can have a free wig for every doll order! Dunno how much the promo will last, but it’s super nice to get a wig.
Plus, if you don’t find what you want in the website, just mail and ask for it. The website is new, so she’s adding things back little by little.
I dunno why her prices are so low, but she’s for sure a reputable dealer for what they told me here on DoA, so I honestly am happy she offers such nice prices!

 

I just saw the wig thing. It doesn't automatically apply if you add a wig to the cart and try to check out, so i'm assuming that's a glitch there. I'll ask about it because a free wig would be useful for sure.

I'm gonna hopefully get Ben and Augus on the type 2 boy body and Jeremy on his original type 1 shorty body because it's adorably dinky.

She said she'd ask doll leaves about the type 1 body, but doll leaves offer it on their site so I can't see it being a problem.

I'm tempted to order a couple of bodies while they're cheap for my incoming DIM heads but i'm nervous that too many dolls in one order is more likely to get customs to stop it and slap a hefty fee on there. But there's also the risk that if I did it as two orders i'd get customs twice so nghhh. I dunno.

 

AC told me last week the wait is 5 months, but I guess it depends on the retailer.

 

so an estimate of approximately 6 months is probably realistic. That's good to know. I don't mind waiting as long as I have a rough idea of how long it might be.

I don’t think Doll Leaves will have problems switching the bodies, I saw other people ordered dolls with whichever body they wished for, so you will probably get a positive reply. But I read Doll Leaves is pretty slow replying, so she just probably wants to be 100% sure it’s a thing before replying positively to you.

 

oooo see the website says it'll be removed during checkout, hence my confusion.

Hopefully DS will get back to her soon so we can move forward with the order.
Is it a wig per doll or a wig per order including dolls?

 

I honestly have no idea, since my order was for only 1 doll. You should send a mail and ask if you plan to get more than 1 doll!

Anyway heard back from Clover Singing. Yes they can do the type 1 body so i'm gonna place my order tomorrow I think, after I do a quick shuffle of money from my paypal.

And then if I can scrape together the funds before the deal ends, i'll order a body or two. I keep umming and ahhing over whether I want two of the same body for my boys or want variation but ultimately how much variation really IS there in male msd bodies?
