Doll Leaves Mini [45 cm] Discussion part 1

I haven't gotten one of these guys, but I just got a 26cm and a 60cm boy, and I have to say, I'm completely in love. The resin feels nice and solid. It's smooth, and I haven't seen a single seam line. They pose wonderfully! I can get my little guy to stand on one foot even.

 

*joining in on the love* I'm really really considering buying W even though I absolutely HATE ordering new (weird quirk of mine). Oooh, but the feedback page (http://www.denofangels.com/forums/s...ves-Feedback-Thread&highlight=doll+leaves+msd) says that shipping is really quick...*does waaaaaant*

 

actually W has been at home for several days. The company really fast shipping. and their sales are very very nice.

I was totally busy on my work these days. And I cannot fix my camera at present. The only way I can show him is to use my cellphone:-(

I still keep his name W because I really love this damn cool name. I think it is perfectly fit him^^

Hello all :-D

It's been a dream for a while now to own one of the BJD dolls and a couple of days ago I've decided to grow a pair and get myself a boy. I've never before had any experience of these dolls so it took a few days to get accustomed with the terminology and the abbreviations. And right when I finally decide that I was going to start saving up for a Doll Family Lingfeng, I came across these two boys, and really, one glance at the gorgeous body made me instantly change my mind. So now, hopefully soon, me and my best friend will be ordering an M for each of us.
We are planning to make them twins, as we both have similar tastes.

I must say that I absolutely love how detailed and gentle his body is compared to the other MSD dolls, and his freckles are simply irresistible. We are both planning on getting the face-up and really can't wait!

I just hope I'll be able to save up as soon as possible (:

Also I kinda wanted to share that an agent on eBay, jeeryama, also has a listing for these two boys. There's just this little thing, if you buy with her, and you purchase a naked doll, you can actually get a wig for free from her shop. In other words, one doll, one wig, two dolls two wigs etc. I figured I'd share that since, well, if you buy directly from the company, do you get a wig or do you have to purchase that separately?

Anyways, wow this turned out to be really long Sorry about that.

Hey, I like his outfit! I think he's pretty cute. All nice and summery. And I actually really like the variation Doll Leaves has between their sculpts...

Both my 60cm and my 26cm boys have s-hooks, so I think it's safe to assume the 45cms have s-hooks too~

 

v1ntagecouture, I did a hand switching experiment for you
Here is Diarmuid, my Doll Leaves W, with a KDF hand from Marjory, my Luts KDF Bory girl. They are both WS by the way, and the resin match is not what I'd call spot on, but the difference is hardly seen in the pics (daylight) and would probably be easily corrected with a bit of blushing. I don't know about NS, since I have no NS dolls from Luts.



The joint is a little bit too small, so the fit is not perfect. There is a small gap. It does look very well, though. It is a KDF girl hand, so a boy hand might fit better?

Hm, I'm wondering what company's mini-clothes would fit a Doll Leaves MSD boy, I heard somewhere that MiniFeé clothes would fit but someone there isn't much to choose from there..

(Can't help but admire your boy...)

I bought a cheap little camera since my old one broke so I hope to have his box opening up perhaps this weekend. Or maybe next weekend since its my birthday is coming up and I'll be taking a couple of days off work to celebrate so I'll have more time.

Gotta say I was a little disappointed with a couple of things but over all I am very happy. I adore his eyes. I usually change out dolls eyes but I liked these so much I didn't even bother going through my box of eyes.

it's basically a free bunny doll (cute) with most purchases! and they are announcing some mini girls too, so i'm excited to see what the sculpts will look like i will most likely wait a little before getting "W" because I might have to get a little girl with it!!

 

Thank you! ^_^ And don't get me wrong. I was not disappointed in the doll at all. He is gorgeous and nicely made and just perfect. I know I will be purchasing from them again. I love my new little boy so much.

No, I had three small issues and 2 of them involved shipping and the last involved the outfit.

Regarding shipping: it took 2 weeks for EMS shipping. Really? 2 weeks for EMS? Since when? And its not like he was stuck in customs for that long because once he reached US soil he breezed through customs and made it to me in a couple of days. No, it took over a week from them turning him over to their shipping company to him to actually MOVE out. So I was a little unhappy about that.

2nd, he was not placed in a shipping box. His box was just wrapped in bubble wrap and then wrapped with tough plastic for shipping. Angel was perfectly ok as he was wrapped up in his pillow (a really beautiful purple BTW) but the box wasn't so lucky. I like keeping the doll's boxes. Not just for storage but also for placing the doll back in there if I have to put them away for some reason. And its a nice box so I would have loved if it was in perfect condition as I would have kept it out to store clothes and random dollie items.

Last, the outfit. The outfit is really cute and I love the little angel wings but... there are no clasps or buttons to hold the shirt closed. I'm going to have to sew on my own buttons. I was told Angel was made and ready to be shipped rather quickly but I ended up waiting another 2-3 weeks because of the outfit so for it to be missing the buttons... well, its disappointing. And then I sent them an e-mail to inform them of all this and didn't get a response. Which is odd since they were really great about responding to e-mails before. Maybe I just have to resend it.

Well I placed the order yesterday, but they seem to had misunderstood something so I had to reconfirm it today, butzi suppose they'll get to it on monday? So I guessit's the normal waiting time? 1-2 months?
Haha I spent 5 hours sewing jeans for him, by hand. I really need a sewing machine...

Hopefully it will be more towards the 1 than 2 months. I've read elsewhere that DollLeaves is quite fast regarding production time, so hopefully it will be the same for you!

We are sorry to reply late. I saw your problem yesterday and your feedback were sent to the DollLeaves customer service and also the manager for follow up. (As I know, the problems should due to the shipping company because most Chinese shipping company always repack customer's packages! It sounds crazy! ) anyway, it was under investigated and hope that they will got a solution.

These day, I am busy with our anniversary event, our bunny was just released, hope you will enjoy it.
Another boy is nearly finished and going to be released soon.

I am looking forward to see their mini girls, I think I will get one later. I will pick a boy mold with a girl body if no girl mold is my cup of tea~（^人^）

I didn't know Chinese companies did that! That is so weird. I was told there usually is an outer shipping box but I guess the shipping company decided it wasn't needed. No worries. My little Angel arrived fine and dandy.

I can't wait to see what their little girls look like. I'm really not a fan of girl dolls except for my Vanessa but I'd love to see what they look like.


On the discussion of B... I have to admit I agree with those who've said its the face-up that is throwing people off. He looks like he could be a gorgeous doll but the face up is a little too stylized for my taste. Its also a big change from the simplicity of W and M. I think they were going for something different and they certainly achieved it. But those of us in love with the cutesy of W and M just couldn't relate.

I'm very surprised over their quickness, I mean, I placed the order on 16th I think, and on the 24th it was already shipped out. Also for some reason it was to arrive withing 3-7 days, I thought the shipping was supposed to be around 1 month?

And about the eyes, I'm not sure what you mean? You get eyes for free, one pair of a random color

Oh wow I checked out the eyes they have, what's up with those weird sizes, I think it works like- you mail them which 'model' eye you want, and specify the size since they seem to come in all sizes from 8mm to 24mm? I don't really know since I didn't order extra eyes ; ) I'm thinking of getting him green eyes, eventually.
