Doll Leaves 60cm Boys Discussion

I was just looking at the 60cm boy body on their website. The style of the torso looks familiar to me. It looks much like one of the Angell Studio 70cm boys' torsos, except that it is the smaller size.

Are they associated with Angell Studio?

 

DOLL LEAVES are not associated with Angel Studio. DOLL LEAVES joints design and torso shape are totally different from AS. :-)

The Only Similarity i see of the Bodies is right in the upper part of the torso, The back details and other parts to the body are more detailed than the AoD ones.

Either way The styles of the torsos remind me of CPR Dummy dolls

I love their 60cm body, is the most beautifull ones in that scale!

 

I'll be able to give a better judgement on them hopefully in a week or so, I've got one of the boys coming.

I've got a Ben coming home and we're actually keeping his name Ben. It's pretty fitting and my fiance and I have a bit of a Joke with the name Ben so it makes us happy all 'round.

The Doll-leaves bodies come in 2 colours right now a White and Normal skin and if it helps you to know their resin colour matches that of Dollzone. so White -> White and normal -> Normal Pink

 

Ben is is the best looking and why not to keep name when its funny XD

Mm Mortin is a lovely one too the faceup they show on him is just lovely too, a little crazy with eyeliner ;D But there is nothing wrong with that.

But the most important thing... how does he pose?? That body looks like it should pose very well, but looks have deceived me before... ^^;

 

He poses very well but he's a little tricky to balance. But once you figure out his center of balance It's really quiet simple.
Not The BEST poser i've ever handled... But he's up there with the good ones

I have a question for you: could you measure his body just (w/out the head or like body with neck you know?)


I need a body that runs under 61cm, otherwise it will be to big for my small Souldoll Iso head , and on your pictures from box opening next to your Adonis (DIM right?) it looks even bigger? So Im a bit worried. I would be very great help for me

Well I dont have any Dollzone 60cm or anyone but Adonis to Show him next to but Keet's Dollzone Yuu and thats Bobblehead city from a 70cm.

Uhm I am not sure when exactly He'll be released, i know their is some Clothing issues with their tailor atm for his Fullset. and the Tinies have a release date of the 15th from last I was told.

I'll keep you posted about it, and if not with me poke Kitazawa, ( since i see you know her also ) She and I have beenvery gabby lately haha i let her know things too, just since its something to talk about. Since I might tell her first seeing as we chat a lot now.

I could always just mod elf ears on, but it's really hard to match the resin color afterward. x_x Easier if they come pre-made as pointy-eared lovies.

Put Ben on order today since still no sign of the elf-eared doll and I wanted to catch the June promo. Was informed my order should be shipping in 3 days. *boggle* Is this normal? Or did they happen to have a blank NS Ben just lying around? ^^;;

 

Woo I have a whiteskin 60cm doll body on the way! Hoping it will work nicely for my CH Sram head. I will post some pics here once it arrives.

 

3 Shipping days is about normal... Thats how long it took to get Our order from them. ^^;;; Since I think they made a couple of each in advance...

Though We haven't been getting any orders @ HS .... x-x;;

 

I ordered some DOLL LEAVES NS hands from them and they are exquisite. I will post some of the photos of the hands if anyone is interested.

Aren't the jointed hands fantastic? They're so lovely and inscale with the bodies unlike some hands which look huge!

My guy arrived this morning. I got him to be a body for my DIM elf head, which I was quite pleased to see matched much better than I was honestly expecting. I'm loving the torso jointing as well. All too often torso joints are just kind of... there... and are more or less useless. Not this guy's! Full range of motion there.

The other joints aren't as impressive, and I was a bit disappointed that he doesn't want to touch his face even with double-jointed elbows, but hey, I'm a master at wiring by now.

He sat up straight and stood right out of the box, which are two problems that wiring can't always fix, and he feels very nice. Not too light, not too heavy, good sleek resin, and not a single seam in sight. Overall, I'm quite pleased.

Wow. So, Doll-Leaves boys are definitely on the thin side.

I was wondering why the outfits I kept putting him into seemed baggy on him, so on a whim I stuffed him into a pair of girl-jeans that fit my uber-thin B&G boy. They fit. So I got out the pair of super-tight Dollmore skinny pants... and those fit too.

It's funny, because he doesn't look that thin, but clothing-wise he is. ^^;;

I may resort to that, or rather, asking my roomie, because I can't sew a stitch. ^^;

It's kind of funny, because this guy was supposed to be the easy one to dress. Simple, common clothes like slacks, jeans, and polo shirts. *headshake*

 

Haha XD never is how we wanted eh? X3 I think all my dolls do it to me.

 

I'm looking to see if Dollmore has anything that will work, since I know their skinny-butt clothes will fit.

Maybe a strange question but I just went to their site and noticed Mortin is no longer there. Anyone know if that particular sculpt has sold out or has just vanished into the ether?

 

Doll Leaves has removed their Dolls from their main site on more than on occasion, however Heartstring Serenade still carries Jiang who was removed fairly early on. That being said Mortin and Lang are still order-able through Heartstring Serenade.
The Main site takes them down if there isn't enough requesting or ordering of the sculpts, So they become somewhat exclusive to our shop particular.

I hope that helps to clear things up a little bit, and if Doll Leaves tell us anything We'll be more than happy to update everyone.

His face is something I don't think i normally would have been all that drawn too, but he's pretty cute!! His Faceup isn't fully finished yet, and I need to replace his eye putty since they gave him like Mint-green gum coloured tack D: YUCKIES

He'll be finished soon I think... Then to find him clothes.

Those eyes are so awesome. His lips are rather off-putting though. Same as Xavor. Beautiful eyes and ears, notsomuch on the lips. *pout* Not that I need another doll, but...

I also love the little squiggles on his cheek. The artist in me is squeeing.

What I'd really like to know, though, is does he come with the sleeping head as well as the OE head?

 

I'm personally not a fan of the sequins on his face x-x; I don't like things glued to dolls, but aside from that he's pretty. Too narrow of a face for my personal liking.. but I do think he's very pretty

Xavor being hard to resist eh? Well to better see him ourselves We got one to model with for our shop Heartstring Serenade I haven't really taken a ton of pictures yet D: since he's kinda bald! Lol.. But he's Gorgeous! I can Happily say he was totally worth the temptation!!! So I shall give you a little more ;D
