D'aww, all these Lian's are precious! I'm hoping this summer they release a human extra event, it would certainly prompt me to order again!

She has such pretty eyes.

Have you tried using a silicon wig cap? I find that that helps a great deal.

Anyone anticipating the event doll Ada??? I've seen my first owner pics on Instagram and was hoping for some more xP I can't wait for mine to get here Kelpie your kitty is adorable!! I love the closed eyes on that mold.

 

Aw, thanks Liveloveyarn! I unfortunately did not order from Doll Leaves again for the event, but I love the Ada sculpt and will be looking at this thread again when you get yours just to see what you do with her (and of course the other thread to see Tryniti!).

 

I too have ordered enough during the event to get an Ada. To be honest I ordered enough to get 2.
Just couldn't resist there sculpt. One of them will have the Pierrot face paint they offered. :}

 

Read somewhere that the Ada's have eye size 12.
Really hope I can find the right eyes for them. :}

 

I actually got two Adas from the event. I fell in love with them based on their looks, but once I received them, I was not comfortable with their size. It makes me a bit sad to say that...

 

Hello guys, I wanted to stop by and ask a quick question, well 2 actually, I just ordered some MSD stuff from Doll-leaves and qualified for the event doll Ovid, who is listed as being 16 cm, I've never owned a doll smaller then 25 cm so basically I'm wondering what size wig and eyes these little guys use so I have a better idea wear to look when I figure out what i'm doing with her.

They should wear a 5/6 sized wig. Luts has quite a few cute ones!

 

Dream-Baby I think 12mm should fit fine. Mine is wearing 10mm at the moment but their on the small side.

Oh btw he is wearing a 5/6 inch wig but just like my lian it's a bit big Their on the small site of 5/6 wigs

 

I tried a 5/6 wig on her and it was too big. She's got kind of an odd shaped head cause I've also tried a 4/5 wig on her and it was too small.

Also here's a bad picture of her. Her eyes are 9 mm actually. Come across them on the Marketplace. Original owner got them in a grab bag and didn't know where they were from.

Yes she's an Ovid. Decided I liked her when she come with some other stuff I bought so now trying to decide what to do with her but can't find a wig that fits.

 

equine-aurora I keep my wigs on with a rubber band ^^ For my taste I found that longer wigs work better. With short bobcuts you cab see that her wig is a little big. Furwigs works really great also.

 

Look at all these little cuties! My Ada is still in the buff, but hopefully I'll fix that soon. Anyone else hoping to get their hands on an Arwen? I can't tell if the detail on her chest and head is carved into the resin or just really good make up. *^*

 

I recently got my DL Ovid, and after looking at sculpt photos I assumed that I'd be adding a little boy to my doll family- nope. As soon as I unwrapped her I knew she was a girl, which was a bit of a shock- but it was just meant to be, I guess.

She's a real joy to pose, except her left leg is really kicky- the rest of her isn't, but I don't want to restring her because she's so small. Restringing my MSD was fiddly enough, I would not be able to remain calm with such a tiny body.
I also found out that she fits barbie skirts really well, so I'm planning to get a few cheap off of ebay!

 

Hey! I hope im posting this in the right place haha. This is Sky and he is a doll leave ada. I really adore him even though I did settle for second best Im finding it really hard to find clothes and accessories for him (especially shoes) I'm looking to meet other ada owners because im quite curious to see what wonderfull face ups / styles look good on him

 

Here's Cornelius pretending to surf! He is wearing a girls' kimono (because when I got him I thought he'd be a girl rofl) made for Lati yellow/Pukifee that I bought off of etsy. It's a little snug, but it works! I'll also be making him some felt overalls within the next few days so he can go rock out in the garden.

Your Ada is adorable, Cinnamonswirl! Mine is still in the buff, but his wig is almost done. I'll get some real pictures when he at least has got something to cover himself, though he does make an appearance in a box opening thread of mine, ahaha.

 

Melface I think it's just a face-up? Because I don't see it on the black pictures? DL does amazing face-ups so I think it's possible?

Cinnamonswirl I own a Ada too ^^ His face-up is done and I'll post pictures of him when he's clothes come in. I ordered a Lati yellow/pukifee outfit from Nubanded. I find that Lati yellow clothes work fine ^^ They are a bit baggy but I like it ^^
Finding shoes is indeed a bit hard. My girl wears Lati yellow sneakers. They are to big but it goes fine with her big head. I also have a pair of Lati Yellow sandals, but they are also to big, because they are open you can see the gap. I wouldn't recommend them. I'll post pictures later ^^ Right now I have Pukifee shoes comming in. When they arrive I'll post pictures ^^

So, I just made Cornelius a pair of terrible felt overalls But, I like them on him!

 

Here's a photo of my Ada, Theo, who was keeping me company while I was in the hospital a few days ago. Don't mind the wrap-dress, I didn't have anything else to put on him... and I still haven't finished his unruly mess of a wig.

It's by formydoll. It was a bit too big so I sewed elastic around the inside; ovid has a weirdly shaped head in my opinion.

The wig itself is nice, if a bit prickly/not very soft, but it stays in shape really well

Sorry I only have cruddy cellphone pictures right now. She's definitely cuter in real life than in the company pictures. I didn't think I would like her that much but she's really growing on me. I'm in the process of making her a wig and an outfit.

I named her Pickle.

I just discovered that Blythe shoes are a perfect fit! A lot better than Lati Y ones

 

I got my Lian a while ago. I could not decide what to do with him, so I used watercolor pencil for body tattoos. Which turned him into a fierce rat-hunter or something.
In my doll universe, he's a house-brownie. Here he is riding around on a wolverine plushie. Crazy brownie!

Thanks, Shailara! I'm not good at drawing anything but lines and swirls, so that's what I did. I should take more photos of the tatoos - crown of head, one butt-cheek and so on.

 

Pickle got herself a wig yesterday so today I took her to work and got a picture of her in some good lighting.



She's basically done now. I'd like to get her some fairy or pixie wings eventually though.

Thanks Shailara! Its the new Monique Gold Pixie, which is like Adorabel but with bangs. I think I need the other colors too because the two-tone is great.

I'm still wondering if she needs shoes. She's a fairy so it could go either way. I'd at least like to get her some little sandals or something. Nothing has called to me yet though.

I just bought a Lian from the MP and gave her a face up - my first one ever. I really enjoyed doing it though I'm letting it sit overnight before I seal it to be sure I like it in the morning. I'd like to get another head from a different company for her body and do another face up. My Lian is white skin. Can any if you help direct me to a company and sculpt that would match her resin and size? I would really appreciate it.

 

I have a pukifee head on my Lian body. The fairyland white is a pretty good match.

 

More Mei spam. Orvid is an interesting sculpt. I have no idea what to do with one. Bebe (been dying to get a hold of her head) I have so many ideas for that one. Lian is another one I don't mind obtaining.
