Doll Head thickness?

    1. Pretty straight forward question. How thick is the resin and/or vinyl on your doll heads? As someone who is getting into sculpting heads, I want to make sure that when I sculpt a head, they're a sturdy thickness.

      Since I'm currently doll-less, I can only really go by eye on how thick I should sculpt a head and where to re-enforce. So if you guys could do me a favor and tell me an estimate on your doll head's thickness and their head size, it'd be greatly appreciated!~ :3nodding:

    2. It varies on the six I just checked but averages out about half a centimetre

      Some had it thinner in some places (back and sides) and thicker in others (front).

      Is is just looking at the edge around the head opening without the headcap on. It's thicker in places like behind the face where the eye sockets are hollowed out.

      The thinnest ones were on the smaller dolls the thickest ones were on the larger dolls but some of the larger ones were unexpectedly thin around the head opening.

      That's 3 SD size, 2 MSD size and a Tiny/YoSD size. Which I happen to be putting onto bodies at the moment so have sat wigless and to hand.
