I've been browsing through Doll Family H's selection of dolls (interested in a head of theirs), and I see that on Alice's Collections' site they list 2 types of faceup for DF-H dolls; Type A and Type B. It seems Type A is the faceup shown in the respective company photos (and seems to be the more expensive of the 2 options), but there isn't any photos of what Type B faceups look like :/ I would guess it'd be a more neutral/simple faceup, since it just says 'normal faceup', but I'm not sure. If anyone has any photos of the Type B faceups on any doll from DF-H, please share them
Usually the two options are on dolls that have things like tattoos, marking or wounds/scars on their face-up in the promo pictures. So type A (or the more expensive one) means the face-up with the extra bits and type B is the face up without those bits. The basic face-up is the same for both
The dolls I'm looking at don't seem to have anything sort of 'special' like scars or tattoos though :/ That's why I can't really make much sense of it >w< Like, for example, on their 70cm boys Zhenlou and General's Adviser - Lou Yunci, there aren't any scars/tattoos/special markings, but both faceup options are there. All I can think is that it's a more subdued faceup?
I couldn't figure it out either. I would email Alice collection and ask. They're super nice and answers questions
I emailed Alice's Collections about it, and they said the Type B faceups are similar to the ones on some of their older sculpts (linking me to the pages for Linfeng, Qiyu, and Xia Yutong). So yeah, it seems Type B faceups are just simple, subdued/neutral faceups.
I was having the same question and I ran to look for a thread about it, thank you very much @BynByn93 for the information, I guess I'll pay the extra because the photos of makeup "A" that I'm interested in looks pretty cute
