Doll collection so far 2016

Started the year with a Kid Delf Corni, Soom Gena, and a DDH09 head, and now going into the later part of the year with the KDF and DDH09 on sale and a VMF50 and a off-topic vinyl doll. I'll probably get another of those off-topic vinyl dolls before the year ends out.

 

2016 has turned out to be a good dolly year to me so far :3 I have purchased 3x SD heads and 3 full dolls (2 of them MSD sized and one tiny)... oh and I purchased a body for one of my floating heads^^


UPDATE:: The year is almost coming to an end... and 2016 has brought to me 4x full dolls + 4x floating heads... oh dear, so much for down-sizing the collection!!

 

2016 has also been a good year for me. I bought a full doll, SDF Loid, and two heads, SWITCH Milhwa & Nanuri 07. I have purchased a body for my SWITCH Milwa head and considering which body to buy for Nanuro 07.

Apart from purchasing dolls I have just sent six doll heads all the way to Canada to get new faceups. I am so excited to see them returned to me!

 

My plan for the year was to reshell Hailey, nothing else. But, as usual, I can't ever be content with a "finished" crew, and so I've sold off several dolls/parts, and brought home Luc, Piper, Hazle and Rose. Hailey is not yet reshelled (due to Loongsoul's waiting times), but she will be hopefully before the end of the year. I also have a Dollzone Mo BB girl in the works. This seems to be the year where I've been selling/trading off SD boys and bringing home mini and tiny girls!

 

This year I got a DoD Too (but-but he was purchased in December 2015 so he doesn't count for this year right..? ), a RS Deertaur, a KDF Kiwi, and a Simply Divine Richard head and an April Story senior body for him (my avatar)

 

I wasn't going to buy any dolls this year as I've been saving for a trip (and the Canadian dollar sucks sooooo hard *sigh*). But... things happen.

A friend bought me a doll as a surprise at the same time I was buying one for her as a surprise. While buying her a doll, I thought it was so cute, I bought one for myself (it was a DZ Little Bean). Then SoulDoll came out with their new souloid and his character just jumped out at me so I needed to buy him as he was a limited sale. And I saw another doll, actually the same one that idrisfynn bought, Akhmel Nathan, and NEED him. The souloid is on layaway and I'm waiting to pounce on the Nathan when he become available to purchase internationally. But that should be it. Probably.

 

My doll collection has definitely grown this year. I also sold some floating heads and the body my Leeke Noella was using because I hated it so much that I didn't even want to play with her. So now she's a floating head. Just recently I got a Volks Rio head on the MP and body on Mandarake, I have an Atelier Momoni MSD Momoni on the way, and I have a PW Goldie on super secret layaway. I had a Goldie head, but when I saw a full doll with extra hands and the company face up in perfect condition I sold the floating head and put the full doll on layaway. I'm waiting impatiently for my Delf Ari and Ari Wink to come back from face ups! Their bodies look so sad in the doll cabinet with no heads. My doll stuff has multiplied too, lots of new clothes and shoes and I still need MOAR! I have to move at the end of February so no more dolls for awhile unless I win in the DearSD lottery. After we recover from moving, I need to replace Noella's body. I'd spend a lot less on dolls if I wasn't obsessed with sculpts that aren't available anymore, or aren't easy to get.

 

I didn't start the year with much in the way of specific plans... But thanks to Iple discontinuing some of their sculpts this summer, I ended up with Madison and the Prince of Shadows (SID Cherie and EID Tedros) and because Sugarble did the same with their little nagas, I ended up with Nagi and Asha, my "snake babies". Randomly browsing Mandarake one afternoon landed me a very well-priced impulse buy (Tai'sun, my F-36), and looking at the marketplace here resulted in a fortunate find I'd been after for ages (Nyala, my tanned Dark Elf Soo). Earlier, I'd gotten ahold of two of my other long-standing wish-list sculpts, both the open-eyed and Romantic SDGr Okitas (Kenji and Tian). And somehow I ended up with a chibi hippogriff (Sky) from Fairyland and a honkin' big black spider (an Eve Studio Tarantula).

A DollZone Moon (Ghost) had to be added to the crew because she was such an unusual sculpt, and Soom tempted me into buying a free-choice girl and a vampire Heliot (Shiva and Raksha), but those three are still in the "waiting" stage. I expect them before year's end, though, so they still count. ^_^

All in all? It's been about an average year for additions to the crew.

 

I've been in the hobby for a little over a year, actually I think it's been a year and half. I don't really have doll "plans." I have my first girl and then about a year ago, I bought my second girl a little abs plastic AI BJD. I'm really excited about Lillycat's new Bo, and I'm thinking she'll be the next doll I want to buy.

 

I was planning on not buying any new dolls this year...

In January DZ had an event monkey doll, so I HAD to get one, as a monkey Bjd is super important to me. Then in April, I decided to sell Ichabod's DZ body and get him a DC one. At the end of this summer, two amazing dolls were released that just had to join the collection (DC Fiona and DF-A Hu Xiaodao). Whoa, this is getting out of control! Now I'm waiting on one more, a BishonenHouse Steve kit (Grail Doll, so yeah, a must have!). I'm dreading the Holiday releases. I have enough, please!

 

Well, I was meant to be good this year and buy nothing. But I got encouraged into buying myself a birthday boy (Dollzone Gray presently waiting to be restrung and laying in pieces on my table at the moment), then I couldn't pass a used Feeple60 that, consequently, needed a 'better' head.
So my collection has grown more quickly than planned.
On the plus side, I am getting better at sewing clothes.

 

I got my DIM Flowne/Mirodoll hybrid in April, so far she's been my big purchase this year. She's my first MSD and I went ahead and got her a few sets of clothes, wig, etc.. I hadn't originally planned on it, but after finding out Mirodoll matches DIM resin and they had a sale going on at the time, I decided to go for it. I'm especially glad I did that now since DIM is taking down all of their sculpts after this month. Flowne was the sculpt that got me into BJDs, so I would have been sad if I had missed out on the chance to get her.

I don't know if I'm making any more doll purchases or not this year, I'll have to wait and see.

 

Well I only had David Kuncci from Dollshe then last year but this year I bought an Ipelhouse HID, then I ordered Enoch from Granado, then another David K, then a one of a kind resin from Dalilia, then another bjd from Hazel Florentino a Soul Doll Vito named Haim.... Stop me already

 

I have DEFINITELY had an eventful doll year! I had a ton of plans to switch to vinyl, but I ended up just falling back in love with resin.

This year, I have gotten rid of my dolls I had & brought home 6 new girls & am currently paying on a layaway for #7.

 

2016 its been a good year for me as well... usually I could efford a doll just one at year or even one every 2 years... this year 2016 I got 2 dolls (both YOSD from Fairyland and from Luts, both with face up) and I think is good (for a poor person like me) xD

 

I bought my first doll this year, a YOSD from Impldoll. I then bought a ResinSoul MSD, sold him, and bought a PW MSD who should be arriving soon. I bought a Little Monica SD head and now need a body for her.

 

Between March and November of 2016 I've gone from owning one off-topic doll to owning three off-topic dolls, three on-topic dolls, two floating heads, and a large selection of clothing and supplies. Not bad for my first year as a serious BJD owner. I owe a debt of gratitude to my mother, who bought at least half of the clothing.

 

I brought my second doll this year. I now have 1 MSD and 1 SD.

 

Well ... I was going to focus on my main crew. Instead I have two incoming MSDs and two off the "possibly maybe" list because DiM was discontinuing everything.

One package is currently in transit ... once I get them home, faced-up and clothed, I'll take a "state of the union" pic. I hope they make it before my dollie-versary

 

So far I have 2 dolls I bought this year, a twigling Miningenue and a Luts Yul. One I have sitting at my house already and the other should arrive sometime in the next few weeks. I'm seriously considering ordering 2 new dolls over the holidays, but I still have to make sure I really want them and have the funds.

 

I landed myself back at square one, as I'm restarting my collection, however I did managed to order one already! I'm changing sizes and got a YoSD, really can't wait for her to get here!!! So at the moment I have one, but I'm working on saving up, and hope to get one more before the year is up! (Might not get them until next year, but I will have at least paid for them!

 

I'm not with my dolls now, and I don't think that I can get them all together before next year (currently split between two states). I received my IOS Doll Jade/Dollshe 28M hybrid this year, my Granado Mads body (Dollstown 18), my Dollshe Fashion Grant Phillippe, and my Impldoll Nicholas same-company hybrid (oldest body, newest legs).

 

just a SWITCH Seolrok Holy head at the moment, but i ordered a Ringdoll Norman in october so he'll be coming home early next year (i could dream for sooner, but thats unlikely haha)

 

2016 is the year my collection goes from three boys and one floating head to three boys, one floating head, and one (half-deer) girl, who should be arriving any day now, which makes it a good year for me.

In the end... I sold 5 full dolls, and bought 8 full dolls, 1 head, and 1 body this year.
Now I have 6 full dolls, 1 head and 1 body.

I also have a couple long layaways going but I think that'll count for next year because they won't be finished until well into 2017!

 

At the beginning of january, I think it was january, I got my Doll Chateau Carol.
At the 2end of august I bought my Fifth Motif Venitu, which isn´t still here.
And this weekend I finished my layaway for my Soom Adonis.

If my two boys will come this year my crew will contain 3 full BJDs and one floting head (which I have for faceup practice).

 

Let's see, I think I started 2016 with 2 Iplehouse KID Lisas, a JID I, a Harucasting Adori on the way, a Sugarble naga, and a Junga Toy skull. (Also a floating head from Sugarble, which I had completely forgotten about until I started this list.)

Then I lost my mind. I bought a Magical Angel Sherry doll, another KID Lisa (I really have a thing for that sculpt), and an Iplehouse SID Grace. And that's after I bought an off-topic grail doll literally on the first day of the year!

I plan to buy another Harucasting doll next month if they are offered, but it looks like I already doubled my collection just this year!

 

I started collecting in October and so far I have a lati green coco, Little Monica Elana, a Minifee Shushu head and I've just bought a soom Lilid human head. Oh and my husbands buying me a Luts winter event 2012 kdf full doll.

So by the end of the year I'll have 3 full dolls and two heads.

 

It's been over 4 years since I bought a new doll so it was time to add to my small collection. I bought my fourth doll, an Iplehouse Tedros.

 

I have been on a hiatus much of this year due to real life commitments, but now that I'm back I have already ordered two dolls. A Loong Soul Ghost Lin that I fell in love with at first sight, and a DIM Ace which I wasn't planning for this year but apparently it's their last sale before discontinuation so I just took the chance to get him and strike him off my wishlist LOL. They are likely to arrive early 2017 though, end December this year if I am lucky?

 

2016 is the mark of my beginning BJD journey...bought my first doll by some sheer lucky incident in early November 2016 (still waiting for him to arrive home). Then while browsing for BJD clothes, I stumbled upon a new release limited doll that I absolutely fall for in an instant...Oh Gosh, I must HAVE him! So there goes my second BJD following closely after the first one. Aaannd...lately, I'm stalking Alice's Collection website a lot...I'm really in a dilemma right now because there are like a few more dolls that I wanted, but I would get a heart attack when my bills come! ~ I must survive not to buy more dolls...at least until after new year T_T

 

At the end of this year 2016, I have 4 full dolls and 3 floating heads. I have only been in the hobby about 2 years. Taking it slow. Merry Christmas All

 

This has been an unexpectedly good doll year for me! I started collecting in 2009 with my Dream of Doll Ducan and then got Dollshe Rosen and a Soom Chrom head the same year. I hadn't bought anymore dolls since until this year where I somehow ended up with 4 new dolls, haha. I'd only actually planned to buy the guy in my icon, Ringdoll Norman, this year but ended up with a Luts Yul Romance and a Souloid Phiel too, and now a Dollshe Bermann on the way. Definitely going to wait another year for anymore doll purchases, my collection grew so much this year as it is!

 

Last year, in 2015 my collection of tiny dolls went from 9 to 16- eek! So this year I decided I would allow myself to order a maximum of two dolls and a head, in an attempt to get one of my first dolls to work for me. I've already received two dolls this year and the head, and ordered a third. Oops. Soom Faery Legends are hard to resist. The head did not work for the doll I got it for, so it and the doll, who just isn't going to work for me will be going to new homes at the first opportunity. And I won't get the third doll until next year. Of course the one I just ordered is probably twice the price of the one who's leaving. The first one I got this year does not officially exist, as he's unnamed and living in a box currently.

 

I got a shipping notice from Cho (Fifth Motif) after 5 months of waiting time. So my Venitu should be delivered this friday....
Than I looked yesterday at my delivery status and it says that I already got ,my parcel......But I didnt...
What means that DHL delivered my parcel to somebody else or lost it......and now I am scared that I never will resived my doll...#

So I hope that my collection will grow this year around one more doll that is at the moment lost

 

What says you've got him - tracking info or the status on Fifth Motif's website? Because company websites update to "delivered" after a set number of days (three to five) instead of tracking each parcel separately.
Depending on where you are, "delivered" may also mean "being held in customs" - if that is the case, you'll probably get the ransom letter soon and can go pick up your boy at your local customs office.

 

No it is on the DHL webpage.
The status changes to delivered if the post man gives your the parcel and you habe to give him also a signature to confirm that you get that parcel.
I have to clear this tomorow.......but thats typical for DHL.
Hopefully I will get it soon...But thanks for your reply ^^

 

Any time. Just speaking from experience, I'm in Germany and over here "delivered" means "customs has it".

I got my first new doll in nine years this year, so it's been a good year for me.

 

Well, seeing as I sold rather than bought this year, I currently have nobody here. I hope to change that in 2017 with my first Volks doll, though!

 

Now that the year 2016 ends I have two whole doll hybrids and a sack of doll parts. A year ago I had only one doll. I always knew I should end up with a bjd couple. But the parts? I am going to make use of them however.

 

My 19th BJD that I ordered in 2015 arrived in September this year, and just ordered my 20th. I don't think I'll be purchasing any more BJDs after this, but you never know what the future holds for releases.

 

Seeing everyone's collections growing and changing is sweet, I can't to see where I am with collecting next December!

This is my first year in the hobby so I only have my first doll but I do have 2 heads and a body that's still being made!!

 

I bought three dolls this year total, though the last two won't be home until January/February.

2016 brought me my very first doll. A MSD Dollzone Vita with a DZ Annie head.

 

So far this year I have a dollzone tintan, doll leaves ida and bella, and soon I will have my fairyland rheia

 

2016 was a significant BJD year from me as I came back after a few years of break. No new resin at home yet except Doll Chateau high heels for my existing doll, but I ordered this year LAVI (Souldoll) + Swinte head and Rebecca (April Story) on layaway. It means that hopefully soon my collection will be two SD dolls, two MSD and two floating heads in total.
