Doll Chateau Kid Boys and Girls (Mini), what fits?

Sep 3, 2011

1. Guys, I'm torn about eyes. 14 or 12? Arghhh.

2. Really nice outfits! and I love the face-up! *o* My next doll will be a DC Bella so this info was really helpfull^^

3. I'm using 12mm silicone (Eyeco) eyes in my Bella, and they work really well:

4. What I did is order some 14mm eyes from CiG but requested that the iris and pupil be smaller than average. I hope that this way, I'll have some whites showing but also avoid gaps.

5. Hallo, thought I would drop in O:
I am getting a little confused here after going through the whole thread. Do the 14" Kish shoes fit the boy feet, too? :?
Thanks for everyone posting what they've found! It's making me a little less worried about finding clothes for my boy when he gets here, especially jeans! :) Those scared me a little bit...

6. Yes, I've tried them on my Colin and they fit him perfectly. They are a bit wide on the girls but are acceptable.

7. Awesome, thanks! :)

8. I returned that frilly purple monstrosity and picked up this other Build-a-Bear Small Fry outfit. Thought I'd post here, since the little shorts are too cute and Build-a-Bear small fry stuff is hit or miss. These ones fit perfectly. I think the shirt is a bit silly, but Caty Bracken LOVES it.

9. OK, I need that. The PJs she was modeling a page back were pretty awesome for 6 bucks. They are actually on the website, so I don't have to go to the mall! Not going to the mall is worth the shipping cost.

I don't even have my Debbie yet, but she's building a wardrobe.

10. Those DC Kids just like showing off their cute tummies!

11. I'm sorry ot ask, dunno if this was answered yet but do you think that AlicesCollections' clothes would fit kid/Bella's body?

12. If you send them the measurements they can tell you. Also, if you special order from Stacy's Pink Ocean they will custom make the clothes to the doll's measurements, as well as let you pick fabrics from their selection so that the outfits form a set. A lot of their pieces are Chinese/Japanese historical fantasy style, but they also have some modern pieces and their work is very professional!

13. I have a question! For socks, do we buy msd or yosd? Since DC kids have such thin ankles, I thought that maybe we could fit them on yosd sized socks?

14. I have just placed my order for Bella and was wondering if anyone could help me with a foot width measurement? I've gathered her foot length is 5.1 cm but have not found a foot width mentioned anywhere. I'd really appreciate it and thanks so much in advance!

15. I just got out the calipers to measure my girl's foot. It's 1.8 cm wide. I verified the length is 5.1 cm. That's a scrawny foot.

Merino has been spending a lot of time in her undies.

I think it has been mentioned here previously that Minifee size corsets from Raouken fit the DC kids. Edhelwen on Etsy also makes some very lovely bloomers for DC kids. If you click the pic there are some links in my Flickr description.

16. Merino is just lovely! Thank you ever so much for the measurements, I really appreciate it. That is quite a slender foot, I'm certain dainty feet add to their charm though. I'm off to find shoes, thanks again!

17. I keep meaning to post. I have some options to post photos of. Here is Piper my DC Debbie in a Dollmore hoodie, Monstro design YO-SD shirt and pants from starrshinedesigns on Esty

Also have found that Dollmore MSD jeans and leggings fit well if anyone wants a pic of the fit let me know

18. I'm getting an Alberta and I'm trying to figure out clothes for her human body.

I know they kinda have wide hips, but they're not like overly massive, right? She'll be my first DC. Regular elastic skirts will fit them, right? I have a cart full of Alice Collections clothing that should fit, but I'm just really unsure. Like it's all elasticized...

And their feet are super small but I'll figure out something.

19. knightjeran, the Alberta human body is just a standard DC Kid girl, so you'll need to look in this thread for clothing that fits the DC kid girl.

20. Are those the regular msd size pants from starrshinedesigns? How is the length? If you have a photo to show the fit of the pants, even better!

Piper is beautiful! Did AmyAngel do her faceup?

21. i have read mimiwoo's shoes too big for DC...but i'm gonna take the risk... i only order boots...so if its too big it wouldnt matter much XD
beside...mimiwoo's have a sale for MSD shoes...shopping time!!!!!!!!!

mimiwoo measurement is 6 cm length and 2,5 wide

22. Thanks! They are regular MSD pants they have no openings or snaps so you have to wiggle them over their hips but they fit great I think the length is perfect. Here is a shot to show fit / length. And that is an amyangel face up!!! <3

Please excuse my messy deck and stained up tattoo stand/table she is standing on lol

23. What about Luts Honey Delf clothes/shoes? Has anyone tried them on their DC girls?

24. I'm pretty sure Honey Delf shoes would be too small. My Honey Delf has pretty standard yosd-sized feet, but DC kids wear msd shoes. Smallish msd shoes, but still msd shoes.

25. DC kids can't wear Honey delf shoes; the feet are just too long. But they can wear a honey delf tops. But nothing else.
(I have a honey delf and a DC Alberta.)

26. i think MSD clothes will fit DC kid just fine...i bought some MSD clothes and it fit my Bella :D
for the pants....i only bought legging :P

for shoes, here's my crappy picture comparison

i bought all from mimiwoo....except the sneaker is from alice collection...
the sneakers and black leather boots fits fine...a lil bigger in foot size but fine....but the cheaper boots from mimiwoo is freakishly too big for my girl :(
and i bought 5 boots like that in different colors :(

27. Okay, thank you!!

28. I was obsessed with getting the correct shoe size for my Bella. I posted pics in this thread. The photos are located on page 7.
Check #129, and #131. Pics include shoes I have purchased, ones I have made, and ones from Teen Trends.

chops

29. Thank you!!

30. This thread has sort of died a little. Are we going to include the new skinny bodies once they get out in the world? I haven't even ordered mine yet.

I did finally get Merino something other than her corset that suits her style. She's wearing a shirt from The SugarDoll Shop on Etsy.

I like the way it fits on/off her shoulders.

31. Would LOVE to see more pix and any UPDATES on CLOTHING that fits for a Kid Girl ...

I've ordered what I'm hoping is a keeper-doll ... a DC Kid girl body with a DIM Larina head. I love the combination and will be
giving her a younger girl faceup.

Have no clue how long she'll take to get from DDE, but would like to start looking for clothes.

***DOES anyone know if Blythe or JerryBerry clothing fits? I have never seen a DC Kid body before so I haven't got a clue!!!

THANKS for all the good info and great pix posted already!

32. as far as i know...blythe and pullip wear same size...so it deff be a no. yosd tops and dress could fit. the normal Msd size clothes would be loose but as far as i see...its actually looks cute :D
Minifee size will fit perfect. i have commissioned my friend who have a minifee measurement and when i tried the dresses to my Bella it fit nicely :)
havent tried to commission pants tough...

33. Peggytoes - the girls are on the slim side for slim mini on top and a little bigger than slim mini in the hips. Minifee size tops do fit well, and stretchy leggings for Unoa can stretch to fit. Take a look through this thread and I'm sure you'll find some good leads on finding the right clothes.

I still haven't found the right shoes for my girl! I have Tonner Matt boots that fit, but she's not into boots. I'm going to have to find time to make her some little slippers!

34. Peggy,

I have a DC Bella and a DIM Larina. I have placed the Larina head on the DC body and it works well. Presently, Larina has her own body, as I love the Bella sculpt, and she is keeping her body.
I think the DC body is adaptable. I also had a MNF head on the DC body as well. I will see if I have any pics and will post later.

35. CHOPSART, IWASTEELA and CEWIE ....

Thanks so much for your comments. I didn't think the Blythe/Jerry Berry would work but thought I'd ask.
And yes, I've looked through this thread twice at what fits and doesn't and
Yes, I will be designing patterns for this doll ... including shoe patterns. I have some cool soles I make for dolls so I am hoping this
little lady won't take tooo horribly long to get here! Just was hoping to do some designing before she does!

Thanks again!!!

36. Peggytoes - I can't wait to see what you come up with for your new girl - especially shoes!!!!

37. Here is my new doll, it would probably be very difficult to find clothes for her, but she's great :)

38. oh she is gorgeous ! I love her face !

39. I love the jeans made by Virginia (Raw Kiss) on etsy. She makes them specifically for the DC kid body and they fit perfectly. Here is my Ruby, she is a Luria head on the DC kid girl. Sweater from Ebay seller but not sure of her name.
[IMG][/IMG]

40. Love the Luria head (or any of the Happy DIM heads) on the DC Kid bodies! That's what I have coming ... wish it didn't take so long!
And love the black boots - Cyber .... do they zip in the back?
And I love Raw Kiss' jeans too but I'd like to design some with a little flare in the leg.

THANKS FOR THE NEW PIX EVERYONE!!

41. peggytoes: yes, they zip in the back. I especially love the way they sit around the calves. The boots i had before looked ok around the foot, but where way, way to big at the calves.

42. Glad to hear the boots fit so well ... can't afford those right now tho.

Can anyone tell me what the DC Kid Girl Body compares to in size ... a Minifee and who else?
...and....
Can anyone tell me who compares to her in hip size as well? If you know right off!

43. I'm sorry if this has already bee asked but are there a company that has pants/shorts/overalls that fit the kid girls body?

44. Thanks so much for the shop list, this is very helpful

Do you (or anybody else) have any suggestions for places to find fluffy dresses with wide skirts? I'm looking specifically for a good fit through the chest/arms, as it's going to go on my Alberta and also needs to accommodate her peculiar body shape
I'm not really fussed about the way the skirt lays, I'll inevitably be adding layers to it

45. I've got candykittenemporium handmade eyes in (the shop is on etsy) so if you're looking for amazing, phenominally vibrant eyes that's a good shop to visit
I don't know how her non-fantasy eyes photograph but the 14mm ones I've got in my Alberta look great

they just catch the light phenomenally well

46. Guys! I was just messing around with what might fit Helleboria and this happened:

It's a Silkstone Barbie dress and it fits beautifully! The snaps close. It's very short of course but works as a dress. I couldn't wait to share it!

On edit: I tried more barbie clothes and the old body dresses with a fitted bodice and wide skirt all work.

47. Quick question: How well does unoa/minifee clothes fit on the k-007 body? I know they're going to be big/baggy, but a photo reference of just how much would be nice.

48. @stella- that is awesome to find out, as I am contemplating that body again. And I have TONS of Barbie patterns. :)

49. This is probably not the place to post this, but I'm a total newb and was wondering in general. DC Kid heads should fit on DC Kid bodies regardless of which one you are using in particular?

50. Cthulhu's Children, you can post questions like this in the DC Kids thread rather than here. This is mostly just for clothes, but I will answer for you anyhow! That is a hard question, aesthetically some of the heads are made to fit certain bodies, so they really only look good on those bodies. If you look at the first line of heads: Colin, Hugh, Erica, and Bella, these heads fit best on the first two DCKid bodies: K-01, K-02, but boys can be girls and girls can be boys and they will look normal. The second two heads (Queena and Douglas), have the same neck insert size, so they can technically go on the first two bodies, but are slightly bigger, and from what I've seen look kind of big for the bodies without the extension pieces. The newest heads (Charles, Austin, Alma, and Agatha) only fit on the bodies they were designed for, mostly because the neck sizes are special for those bodies (K-07, K-08), they may be able to switch genders, but the girl heads may not have the same range of movement on the boy body. Hope this helped you!

Now, anyone have any clue what could fit on to the new boy bodies? I was thinking some SD13 Girl size range for the tops, maybe some bigger MSD stuff, and then I dunno about bottoms...anyone want to take a guess since no one has these guys yet?

51. I don't remember seeing any Goodbyeyouhellome in here yet. They fit on the 01 girl body, as modeled by Merino. This dress was able to go on over her hips (closes with a snap in the back), but one I tried on at a meetup had a smaller opening and would have had to go on after taking off her head.

52. Iwasteela: Love your girl so much!!! And the dress fits great!!!

* I have a question for you who have the DIM/DC hybrids ... what do you do to get the heads to not wobble around???

53. Any updates on clothing or patterns?

54. I've just been making all the clothes for my DC Agatha. :( Would love to find (and buy) a nice shirt that'd fit her, but I'm at a loss. I'm just dreadful at sewing shirts. >.<

55. Here is my Agatha with her gorgeous outfit in old lace made by Heliantas.

56. 6luciole .... LOVE THAT OUTFIT!!!

Hey everyone ... as I asked earlier ... what do you do to keep your DIM head from wobbling on the DC Body??? HELP!!!

57. Peggytoes, how is he wobbling?
My firsts thought would be to put some hot glue sueding on the neck hole of the head. Possibly a lot of hot glue!

58. I have a Larina head on a DC Kid body and the head kind of flops around - doesn't glide smoothly. Normally I'd reshape
the neck hole but I don't think that's going to work. I will try the hot glue method - that might be the best - if not, the suede. THANK YOU!!!
