Body Comparison Doll Chateau K body 11 & K body 01 comparison

Hi guys, I have a small comparison between the two type of body from Doll Chateau's Kid line.
Hope this post will help you decide on which body you want from Doll Chateau
I just welcomed the newest member to my dollie crew on July 10th, 2021. She’s the first K body 11 from Doll Chateau that I own so I’d love to share my review on this body type so you can have a clearer view on how’s it like and what’s the differences between K body 01 and K body 11.
01. Size & aesthetic

K body 11 is taller than K body 01&02. K body 11 is 50.5cm including head. That’s a little odd size but they would still count as 1/4 because despite of being taller, they are very skinny, therefore they would still fit most of 1/4’s clothes. Nevertheless, K body 11 is very curvy, I can almost say extremely curvy and irrealistic. Their upper body is small and tiny but their hip is wide, making their body a supper attractive S curve. This also makes them hard to fit in normal 1/4 clothes, I’d suggest having their clothes tailored and have adjustable pin/strings.
02. Posability and stability

K body 11 poses are much more diverse than K body 01 since they have ankle and wrist and knuckles joints. This feature enables them to extend their hands and legs movement. The wrist joints gave them the ability to curve their hands in more, making them looking elegant and appears smoother. The knuckle joints in my opinion is very interesting, it gave their hands this delicate look with mobility, however, because their fingers are too skinny, they don’t have finger joints, which in my opinion a great thing because they look very delicate to me. In terms of stability, I rate this body a solid 4/10 because they cannot stand easily and effortlessly like K body 01. My K body 01 &02 can be put in stand position without even trying but K body 11 won’t stand without a fight. I’m not mà though, they are heavily disporpotioned so it’s hard for that body shape to stand. Having that said, it can still stand on its own, but with a lot of adjustment and cautions so I’d not recommend.



03. Weight and restring matters

K body 11 and other 1/4 body from DC is as heavy as each other, the design may vary but they have the same weight. On the other hands, K body 11 is harder to restring because they have extra joints and jointed hands. These extra joints are dangerous to me because I’m afraid they might break and getting their replacement is going to be hard. I have examine the jointed fingers and that looks like something I’d never be able to restring ngl…
04. Price

K body 11&12 are more expensive, retail for $295 while K body 01&02 retail for $240. Given their extra joints and pros, I think that’s reasonable.
