Doll Chateau - Adult Dolls

Waaa.. Thanks fr creating a room also for SD dolls !! ^^
I will join this one too cause I'm quite curious to see them in the future, once they'll start to reach their new homes ! This company reallu fascinates me, both the sizes of dolls and especially the girls's bodies!
They're wonderful and weird in a beautiful way! I'll stay tuned!!

 

I keep going back & forth between these beauties! I love that they are so different from what I have, but I just don't know! I would love to get a SD girl, and she would fit in better with my SD group better then the MSD girl would fit in my MSD group...but the price! ARGH!!!

 

It's so odd -- my first reaction upon seeing the full doll shots was "ET, Phone HOME!" because all I can think of is the elongated aliens in the door of the ships -- both in ET and in Close Encounters.

But that's not negative. They're just so very different than the hyper-realistic humans we've seen in the last year or two. Eerily beautiful. I love their heads, very much - I'm undecided about the bodies, but they could definitely be made in to wonderful and elegant characters!

 

I felt the same way when I first saw them, now I'm really considering ordering one

 

I'm intrigued. I liked Pierre when I saw his face, and he reminded me of a character from one of my story worlds... And the body (70cm boy) has a 'feel' that might work for him if I decide to go for it somewhere down the line.

They are certainly different, but I kind of like that. I like variety.

 

I just might get Cyril, I have a doll here now that I am considering re-shelling so this just might work out. I love love the slim lanky bodies, but clothing them would be a challenge.

 

I LOVE them. Adore them. I am so super excited for my Cyril I can't stand it. Their super long torso's are wonderful! *__*

I love that Cyril looks so feirce even without a face-up and Peirre looks so soft.

 

Hi there... I'm going to be evil and wait to watch and see what kind of customer service and how long people have to wait for these dolls.. But eventually... Cyril will be mine *.*

I have to say I really like the girl bodies, both MSD and SD, and how they look like younger/older versions of each other. And Olivia's face is so cute blank. I can see myself eventually bringing home her and Cyril. I already know what I want to do with them.

 

I wish the bodies were cheaper! Anyone think they are a little overpriced?

I love the female body the best! But if Ringdoll NEVER gets it's crap together I think I found an alternative to the Frankenstein body I wanted.

 

I actually plan on getting Olivia and Cyril to be Sidhe/fae tree people myself.

As far as being over priced. I don't think so since they seem to be around the same amount as many other dolls in this size range.

I will decide tomorrow if I get Cyril, I know I want him, but I have to get rid of some SD size I have now....well 1 at least. I think they look so alien like. Gives me a good reason to get Cyril after all....he's part alien and part human.

Well, I bit the bullet and ordered Olivia

I just think she's going to look great with my FL F65 Chloe since she's so robust & curvy compared to Olivia's emancipated & overly grouchy look!

 

Uuuug it will take a while, but I need to get a Cyril! I can't wait to see everyone's when they get here!

 

I'm trying to decide between SD and MSD, Doris and Bella. If I get Doris, she'd be a 'girlfriend' for my Sabik, but Bella is my favourite out of all the sculpts. I plan to wait until I can see owners photo because it's too hard to tell with the stylized photos. I prefer the prices of the MSD to the SD. They seem a bit more reasonable. These days, $560 has to be pushing all my buttons for me to purchase.

 

I would go with the sculpt you like more ^_^

I emailed the company to ask about how they stand on those skinny legs, and I was reassured they were very good standers, so hopefully that's true! ^^
Out of all the dolls I want, I want Cyril the most. I really hope I can get him!!

 

I want Pierre. I should be getting him later this month once a check I'm expecting comes in. I can't decide on which color to get him in though.

Or if I really want Cyril instead....

I have to say, I am also a fan of their bodies. I love the way longer-limbs look, so it's not a surprise I like the bodies so much. x3 Personally, though, I don't care as much for the heads, as I don't really like squinty-eyes, and the two SD boys have rather large chins, which I don't care much for, either. Of course, they still look very pretty. :3

I do plan on buying the 70 cm boy body, but I need to save up for a body for a head I ordered. x3 But I'm going to get the body next!

 

Oh my, I remember seeing the news thread and being smitten instantly with their weird look, but my other dolls kept me busy so I kinda forgot about them. But now I'm back drooling over them, especially the SD dolls! Cyril!!! I'm sure I'll order one (or two...) of their beauties in the next months but I can't decide which one! I love Cyril,Olivia,Bella,Erica... I cannot wait to see owner pictures!

 

UOOOOOORRH!! I must have one of them! I love how artistic and unreal they are. I want Olivia. The blank head pic of hers.. I could take it just like that XD Luckily Näri has imaginary friends, so she fits into my story. But I'm fooling myself, I probably can't buy her for ages. Dad will never let me, and he controls my bank account. Can't wait to see owner pics!

 

I have to say, I LOVE the female SD body. It reminds me of how I used to draw when I was very young. I've been wanting a lady SD for a while, and I'm confident that the beautiful Olivia fits the bill. Just looking at her pictures makes me think about all those pretty dresses I could make for her.....

 

So... I had to wait for a check before I could order Pierre (or OT Colin) and it's just come in. However, going on the company website, it says all dolls are sold out. A couple of questions come to mind:

1. Does anyone know if that's just the full sets? (I hope)
2. If so, DDE and MOC both still have the dolls set as available for pre-order. Will this change?

I really would like to get at least Pierre, but... if it's not meant to be, then it's not meant to be.

supposedly Doll Chateau colours are the same resin colours as Dollzone's, as it's a sister company from them. So I guess you could look up resin comparisons with Dollzone dolls to get an idea about the NS and WS.

 

I know. I'm just waiting to see. Dollzone used different resin for the 70 cm boys than they did for other dolls, so I just want to see if there will be any differences.

 

DollZone also use several resin tone,as pink skin and yellow normal skin,so if DC using only a NS we need to check exactly in which shape the normal skin exactly looks.

 

As far as I know they use the same resin color for their 70cm dolls as their smaller dolls. Unless this is a recent development.

 

How many resin color offers actually the CD?

 

You might be right. I read about the difference on the Junky Spot. I just don't want to expect one color and get something different

 

Could somebody who has Doll chateau 70cm male doll, take measurement of the shoulder joint? I've been thinking if I would get 70cm body sometime and put Soom MD Bix arm for it. The body seems so thin that I wonder if the special arm has suitable shoulder for the body.

I can't get Cyril outta my head.......must find a way to get him. I just hope if I do get him I don't have to wait 9+ months for him to come home........unless I do a looonnnnggg layaway with my fave company.

Oh yeah, but I went with MoC instead......so I will have my lanky dude back. I plan on doing his faceup since the default is not what my character will look like.

 

Anybody got some good recs for clothing for these tall & lanky beauties?

 

I can't wait to get Cyril now......I will truly have my lanky girly man home next year. At least I have some clothes and his wig...just need to get him some shoes and then give him a faceup too.

 

I know how you feel derilan85, I can't get Pierre out of my head! I'm really supposed to finally get a body for my poor floating Abies head, but Doll Chateau just screams to me "buy buy buy" with all their beautiful dolls!! It's really hard not to want every single one of them. And it doesn't help that I just discovered that MoC accepts international layaway orders...

 

I'm joining in on this thread I already have Bella and today I ordered Olivia blank with yellow skin. I put her on layaway through Denver Doll so it will be awhile till I get her, but at least she's ordered. Gosh it all, I am excited about having my first SD sized doll.

 

I did it, I just ordered Pierre in pink skin on layway! I couldn't decide between Pierre and Olivia but Pierre has been stuck on my mind the last few days constantly, so he had to come home first. But Olivia will follow shortly, I'm sure

 

Am I the only one wondering about the "Yonth" size they have on their site, in between Adult and Child? I'm hoping it's their version of 58cm because I'm not interested in MSD but I don't want too many 65cm girls...so the Adult size is a bit too big. Something in between would be amazing ^^

I think believe that is what the youth sizes are. I'm the same, I really was interested in dolls around the SD size, not MSD or 65+ range (I broke down and put an MSD on layaway anyways ) I seem to recall it took forever for Dollzone to release 58-60cm range dolls (they used to just have MSD and 70cm) I'm hoping this won't be the case with Doll Chateau...

 

Oooh that's interesting ...I really do hope it doesn't take forever, I can't wait that long aha.. They released the baby size rather quickly after the first initial two sizes, so I'm crossing my fingers its not too much longer of a wait!!
