I have taken the extras off my boy and he looks good and making him stand and pose is of course easier. He is still very tall. I'll get some photos in a bit.

 

Oh wow, that's good to know! That'd be awesome to see photos! I've really been eyeing this body for a long time, but I've yet to see pictures of it without the extra ankles. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right places, haha

Yo, I am a huge Majima fan and I am obsessed with this. It looks awesome! Can't believe you did all his tattoos yourself! They look fantastic! And the super-slender aesthetic suits a stylized version of him very well. ~

What awesome photo shoots you could have, haha! You gotta try a blonde wig and go "Goromi" at least once!

Hey guys! I just got my fullset Snowborn. My only problem seems to be the eyes they sent with him. They almost seem a bit big for the socket. They sit really far back. Any recommendations?

 

@SheepyPi If the eyes are high domes you might want to try some with low domes instead.

 

Yes, my Snowborn has 14mm low dome small iris eyes.

@d_caw I think I saw someone get the Abody05 to stand on its own, but I've never been able to do that! I'd recommend getting a stand if you want to display one standing.

I love the shape of this body very much but im also considering the A-body-04 which has more articulation and might pose better than the other body. Hi anyone here tried to hybrid the DC Adult Doll Male body with wings? Just wondering which doll company heads will fit into the nect girth. The neck is only around 7 to 8 cm; quite small. Will appreciate any sharing regarding this. Thank you

Hello there! I am eyeing on DC's adult body, however it's been told that their white resin yellow fast... I wonder if it is true?

 

Not especially, at least in my experience. Also, "yellows fast" compared to what? DC's other resin colors? Company X's white resin?

I have a question, did someone have maybe a Fergus Head and the Snowborn Centaur or human body and can make a picture if the head will fit on the body? ^^" (yeah the neckhole must be modded XD)
I REALLY love Fergus, but i want a centaur (in tan ^^), but the Fergus-head is sooo small
I want to order on the Christmas-Event (i hope it comes XD)

@tiyama I have a WS DC Erwin, and he has yellowed just slightly after 3 1/2 years. My WS AoD and Doll Leaves dolls have yellowed much more over time.

Hello there, I am currently shelling a character and managed to get a A-body-02 (which ist just too perfect for what I have in mind) and now I am thinking about getting a pair of jointed hands for the body. Does anyone here happen to know which hands would fit the A-body-02? (The body is in WS)

Here are Doll Legend hands for their SD unless you want really long hand to go with the lanky body. Here are the two sizes I have.

these are my favored hands, especially the ones with the veins. I think they have a really nice shape. I am not sure about the size, which ones do you think look better on a doll chateau body around 70cm? The bigger ones? Do you maybe have a picture where the hands can be seen in comparison to the whole doll?

the other hands that looked very nice to me were the ones by island doll, but I don't know about their size either

 

If you look at Alice's Collections:

You'll see that the SD hands are 7cm and the larger hands are 8.3cm. You could measure the existing hands on the body and decide which size of jointed hands would look best based on their relationship to that size.

 

I think I am going to do that. I will just wait until I have the body here with me and then I can get his measurements
Do you by any chance know how long it takes for jointed hands until they arrive? Do they have the same waiting time as a whole doll?

 

The one time I ordered hands, it came really fast because they were in-stock. And by really fast I mean, in a month. The caveat to all this being that nothing in the BJD world is replicable or consistent. So YMMV.

So I finally bit the bullet and bought a Snowborn Head from Oobie, which means I have to start thinking about SD things. (I've only had MSDs so far... SD's are scary )

I'm thinking the A-03... It's the sleekest imo, really lanky like I wanted! But what type of pants fit on Doll Chateau SD's? I know with their 1/4 sized dolls standard MSD pants sometimes don't fit at all and I imagine their 70+ dolls are similar. :C Do you folks think I'm going to want to tailor his pants myself?

 

I never found clothing that would fit the 03. I made pants and leggings for my guy or he wore Sarongs.

Totally understand! If he does get to keep it he's lucky! Cause he looks great on that body! I hope you are able to find the other body you're looking for as well. I'm in the same boat with having a head whose looking for its body :p

 

DC just announced that they're discontinuing a huge bunch of their sculpts in March, so you don't have long if you wanted to pick them up. (I've only found the link to this on their Facebook account so far; I'm not a big FB user so excuse me if I've messed up the link!)

They did say on Instagram that they will be releasing new sculpts, but it still seems strange that they are retiring so many.

 

It has to be difficult to keep so many heads open for small companies, I think it is a trend now to retire older and not as popular sculpts to make room for new ideas. So many companies are doing just that.

 

Hi guys, I want to order Gladys head because i want to put it on boy body, can you tell me if the body also from DC but boy body will fit nice with this head? I mean the Gladys is a girl in company and the neck hole is 7cm but the smallest neck in 60cm or 66cm body is 7,5cm-8cm :> or do you know a nice hybrid maybe?

Congrats!!! Honestly, I have the a-04, I think? for one of my boys, and I either get stretchy female clothing for him, or custom-sized stuff at Ac, or I just let his clothes be kinda loose on him.
