Doll Chateau - Adult Dolls - Part 2

I will be getting a few custom made cloths in the future for Shai'tan as nothing I have fits anywhere near that body. Not that I mind him sitting around with not much on

I took some better pics of him today....

 

I better get him some underwear for now then, while I draw out some patterns

 

He he, they seem to like running around in their undies. I happened to have some leopard SD girl bikini panties and Thaddeus nicked them. They are his now and no others will do. He might wear something over them but unless he naked for some reason, he wears the panties.
Thaddeus carefully watching his new minion Rory (Azone Aoto) interact with the MSD crew. He seems quite fond of the little bunny boy.

I haven't even gotten my Cyril yet, but am pretty sure that I'll need to make all the clothes myself... Even if I could find clothes that otherwise fit, most of them would probably be too short for the arms and legs. Ah well.

Same with shoes. I've been looking around for SD17 shoes but haven't been able to spot anything suitable yet. Might have to make my own gladiator shoes, or just settle for some plain boots in the end. Going to wait to get the actual doll home before that, though.

Thank you! I almost stopped at a lighter shade of purple, but my sister noticed the head was darker at the time. I'm glad I kept going and mixed it darker, because it's a much nicer Drow shade now.

Heee! Kavarr, my Bait's just painted, not dyed. I am not sure if I'd want to commit to a dye job quite yet. However, I enjoyed the painting process quite a bit, despite my grabby hands impatience for it to be over.

It is a great paint job. I thought you must have dyed him over and over to get that color.

Edit: I found something that actually fits Shai'tan. The cloak from my Ringdoll Frankenstein is perfect. At least he now has an outfit he can wear to the next meet up I go to

 

@Kavarr That cloak is a really good fit. The draping in it really works to give contrast to the sculpted neck piece!

 

Heee, thanks guys. It took quite a while with an airbrush to get him so dark and smooth. To think, my first ventures into airbrushing were so terrible, I am glad he turned out so well.

Hehe, Shai'tan looks pretty cool in the cloak! I hope you can get some more things that fit soon. It is hard to dress these guys, but they are so cool that they are worth it!

 

I was thinking about getting Lilly that they just put up, but I don't understand why the female body isn't jointed at hands and toes while the male body is.

 

They are jointed, Lilly and Arali have a totally different/new body, that body has no boy version. If you look at the Snow Nymph, she has the body that goes with the male one with the jointed hands and feet. I should also like to state, that Doll-Chateau themselves have stated that the new girl body, that Lilly and Arali are on, does not stand well if at all, they are more beauty over function sculpting.

They have amazing dolls at DC though, so I hope you still get one, Snow Nymph is so pretty, or if you like Lilly's face the most, you can get her on a different body? Good luck!

 

I got Lilly head only and she is quite small... I have tried her on my Youth 1 body and the result isn't proportionnal to my eyes... I find the A05 really beautiful but I don't want to buy it and I have no idea what body to find for her... I was wondering if a zaoll or a dollstown elf would work?

Yeah, they are difficult when it comes to pants and sleeves. D: I look a lot for customizeable items when shopping, those work out well.

 

I'm hoping to get a DC Mephi.stopheles and that boy is 72cm tall. Not only is he weirdly tall, he's also suuuper skinny. I have an outfit in mind for him already but I'm not sure how to go about putting it together! Are there companies that specialise in DC's odd sizes or am I better off making it myself? What about boots? Thoughts?

 

You definitely need to sew for your adult DC if you want clothes that aren't a little baggie or too short. I only know one place that specializes in DC clothes but it's mainly female tights. If anyone knows of another 'holler'. As far as boots go, you definitely need wide 70cm boots. I got a pair from Dollmore that came with my Glamour Model that fit Thaddeus' feet perfectly.

 

Anyone seen Fergus yet? First doll on my wishlist for 2016....

Just saw him, he's beautiful! I love his face, very sassy almost. However I do like his small frame, but I don't like the very defined abs (which of course almost everyone male doll sculpt ever has, idk it makes me uncomfortable)

Hi everyone, here is my Jasper Dolores.
I found some clothes for him on ebay. The t-shirt is perfect, very very soft and tender. Sleeves are a little short, but I suppose it is a 3/4 model. Jeans are boot-cut, long enough, a little loose fitting, but you can immagine that it is his style. Shoes are from Jeeryama, suit perfectly.

 

The new body is nice, but his neck is really long. I do love the way Fergus face looks with the makeup.

 

I'm... not fond of the proportions of the new body.

Honestly, it actually creeps me out a little bit. o_0 (Which is odd, since the whole Uncanny Valley thing typically tends to be pretty mild for me. Aside from a few slightly *too* realistic Reborns, that thing is the only doll in ages that's given me the heebies.)

I can't put a finger on exactly what it is about the body that's making me go all Tiny-Octopus-NOPE-NOPE-NOPE about it, but there's something that's off.

 

I don't like it either. I'm not really creeped out by it, I just feel like without the hips, it's proportioned wrong, even if it's considered abstract. The whole body tapers like that - arms, legs, torso....I just don't like it. It's the first DC body that's totally left me cold (Although if you do want to get creepy it does kind of remind me of slenderman).

Which is ok, I just want his head. Well, maybe the 04 as I have another head in need of a body (and if it'll work I can't resist a hybrid), but I already know what I want with Fergus and being on a DC body isn't in his future. With me anyway.

 

I can appreciate the artistic integrity of the new body, DC is always pushing boundaries; but I'll agree that I'm not too fond of the proportions either.
But hey, the way he's styled and dressed complements his body perfectly. I didn't even notice the heavy inverted triangle shape of the torso until I checked out the naked body.

 

NSFW-ISH QUESTION

So... I'm really in love with the male Doll Chateau Adult sculpts, but their gentalia is jointed and it makes me extremely uncomfortable, is there anyway to re-string them without it? Sorry for the awkward question

 

Hmmmm I'm not too excited about Fergus or the new body. Sad day. I had been saying, if they make an adult male body that is a match to the new female A-body-05, I would be so excited, I love the ridiculously slender aesthetic; but I guess that's not happening. I agree, I'd much rather have some hips. I can see why it would be appealing, it's certainly unique, and I'm glad DC is always experimenting, but definitely not my thing this time.

The broad shoulders and tiny hips looks so... cartoon villain. I think that's what they were going for; the huge smile reminds me of the Joker also.

 

I agree, I'm sad this isn't a sculpt similar to A-05 but I'm hopeful they'll make one like it someday soon

 

LOL, You know I felt kind of the same way, I got a Dolores as my second BJD and my first male doll, and I had just found Doll Chateau and I was like OMG this is exactly what I want, who knew dolls could be so beautiful, there's a whole wide world out there, etc. But when I saw there was so much detail on the genitalia, and it's jointed like you said, I got really worried that this was like secretly a sex doll and if I bought him I would get creepy porn advertisements and then next thing you know I would be attending bondage orgies or something. Well, safe to say that did not happen, and now I've had my boy for a while it doesn't really bother me anymore, I guess feel like it's a good thing to become more comfortable with the male body; but personally I don't think the jointing adds anything. Good thing they seem to have gotten rid of that "feature" in the new body, maybe they will continue to stop.

What exactly do you want that would make you more comfortable? I mean, one option might be to just try to secure it in place so that the joint can't move anymore, maybe with hot glue, so that you could peel it back off if you needed to. Or do you want to completely remove the piece there?

I keep bikini panties on Thaddeus (Don't tell him it was my idea) because he loves them (they're leopard print) and it keeps him quite tame in that area.

I like the S curve shape of the new body and I actually like the abs, but I agree I'd want hips. I wish they had front and back facing pics of the body nude so I could get a better gauge as to proportion. I really Fergus' nose, but not to keen on the Joker smile.

 

I think it's time I share my Mephistos Pheles, No Name. Every time I take him out of his box my heart skips a beat. I still remember receiving him from OobieDoll scared and naked.

 

Fantastic dolls in this thread, Doll Chateau is probably my favorite company right now for the way their dolls look and the clothing/photography. I have a guy coming who will hopefully be a Dollzone hybrid (A-body-03, Robin head.) We'll see!

Fergus is a dreamboat, love the smile and outfit and the photoshoot, do wish his hips were a little wider though. I like the sculpting, but it's a bit out of proportion with his shoulders. His lower legs and feet seem a little small as well. There are things I don't love about a lot of companies' bodies, though, and I think it could really work for some characters.

 

I rather like the new body. I think he would do well as a Jack Skellington. I don't like the extra wide smile, so will wait for a different head, like the one in the body photos.
M.Pheles is a rather cool doll! I don't know if I could share mine!

 

I was looking at Doll Chateau for a unique and unsettling character I have in mind. And the new body is so intriguing! I would love to see it look even ganglier with the extra joints at the wrists, neck and ankles to be even more disquieting. The barrel-chested and slim, long limbs remind me of descriptions of the castrati singers. Oh boy, adding to my growing and expensive wishlist...

I have fallen in love with Fergus. He is now on my wish list! I just find his body so.. interesting and beautiful. And that smile, I love it!

 

I'm considering modding an a-04 to fit a head. How feasible is it to make that fit a head with a neck ~2cm bigger?

 

I am interested by the A-body-06. Not keen on Fergus head and I've been wondering if an Erwin head (20.5cm on a 9cm neck) would work. The A-body-06 has a 8cm neck and Fergus' head is 19cm. Then the feet are a bit small for the body (6cm x 2.5cm), well, at least, unusually small. They're MSD size.*head scratch*.
I would be interested to know how well a 70cm body stand on such small feet.

 

Ooh, it'd be so nice to get pics of them! I've really been interested in Arali and Lilly.

 

I'm about to get Sexta from Doll Chateau. I believe the body is A-body-03. Are there places with EXACT measurements? Detailed measurements? I'd like to make him some cloths so he's not nude when he gets here.

I did get the head only and I had a lot of hesitations about what body I would get for her.
The A05 is beautiful, but I am not sure I would love it if I had it in my hands for real... and it's really expensive too...
I thought she would fit fit my Y01 body, but the neck would need to be modded, she also isn't that bad on a DZ msd girl body...
Here she is on a DC Kid 12 body, and I really like the result.
i have also considered a zaoll or Dollstown elf body but I am quite sure they would both need heavy neck mods...
The only other idea I had for her would be a Serenade doll body, but I am not sure it would work, while am sure the K12 does, and it's much more expensive than the latest option...

 

Finally got around to finishing my DC Jupiter's wig (*cough*oneyearlater*cough*), So i took some pics of her at a recent meet up. Cause there was better lighting there than what my house has XD Still sorting pics from the meet, but here's one of my favorites of Jupiter.
