OT/General Doll Boxes

Sep 20, 2011

    1. Where can I get doll boxes with outside mailer boxes? I am overwhelmed by what I am finding on Google. I'm wondering if you can only get these from a doll manufacturing company, but surely not.

    2. Hi Simon,

The best way I have found, is to contact a carton company and order the smallest amount possible from them. The boxes would more than likely have to be custom made to your specifications, and that can cost, especially if you want die cuts and things like that.

    3. I got the same answer from batchix, so it must be true! Thank you very much for your input!

    4. I sometimes order custom boxes as part of my job. The smallest quantity I've ordered was 275 printed boxes. The cost was about $850. A large part of that was the die to cut the boxes-- that will need to be specially made if your size or style is unusual.

Uline carries standard boxes in dolly sizes: http://www.uline.com/BL_406/Long-Boxes These would be plain brown corrugated, not printed. An economical solution would be to order plain boxes and apply your printed label.

You would still have to supply internal packing materials. Bubble wrap is easy but doesn't look as nice. Some BJDs come in padded fabric bags. Or you could use a foam insert, but once again the inserts would have to be custom made to fit the box and the doll (unless you're really good with an electric knife).

      Hope this helps! :)

    5. Oh thank you! I didn't know Uline had these boxes--it's hard to know what to search for on Google if you don't know what name to look up. I used to work for a courier company and we ordered from Uline. I got my current boxes for doll clothes from Cheep Cheep Boxes, but they don't have these long boxes.

    6. Yeah, Uline is the mother lode! ;)
